does paranoid android support franco kernel?
Not actually tbh. Franco is based on AOSP. Sadly or A good thing maybe PA moved to CAF.
Just picking the topic: PA does not support otg in ntfs or exfat... Would be the best rom if so (at 7.3.0 and for oneplus3). How can we activate/enable it?
Thanks for all in advance.
Cheers

Just got a Nexus 7 Tablet last night. I know everyone hates the "best ROM" question but I am clueless ass to the Nexus 7 scene. I have been an EVO/EVO 3D rom user forever.
What is the BEST Nexus 7 Rom for basic performance, battery and mostly added features / tools? If anyone has the time/desire to quickly (in a nutshell) compare and contrast a few top roms that would be awesome.
Your best results will be for you to read the various threads about each of the roms.
There the users of the roms will have posted what they like, have problems with experiences.
It would be hard to get a good comparison from anyone unless they actually have tried all the various rom.
I prefer clean ROM's that don't stray too far from AOSP, and don't include a lot of features. With that said, here's some of my favorites:
CleanROM
TeamEOS
Liquid Jellybean
Glazed Jellybean
And if you do choose a AOSP ROM, Here are some kernels:
motley kernel
faux kernel
Clemsyn's Elite Kernel
Trinity Seven
I'm currently about to give TeamEOS's latest nightly + Clemsyn's Elite Kernel (undervolted) a try
I've moved to Baked Grouper with motley's kernel and am wildly impressed. Liquid is also a very nice ROM.

Thanks for the replies guys. I went ahead and tried Baked Grouper Blackbean by Team Baked.
What are some advantages of the motley kernel?
I'm using cm10 4.1.2 and I am having a lot of trouble with the kernels I have tried. Is/was there a stable kernel with overclocking ever released by a dev? I've tried faux's, clemsyn's, and mkernel and I have had no luck with any of them running smoothly. Also, do 4.2.x kernels work on 4.1.x?

try trinity kernel. but cm changed some stuff, so its possible that many kernels wont work with cm unless its specifically built for cm support.
As the topic implies, what kernels are available for 5.1? AFAIK, Franco Kernel supports it. Are there any other kernels there?
bricked kernel...I havent tried it but Im having issues w/Franco and f2fs so ill give it a go tonite....
d
Lean Kernel.
Edit: oh, sorry, maybe not 5.1. Also Carcosa kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2662639
It would be nice to have a kernel similar to Nameless/Emotion kernel for 910G/F CM based roms. I have been using CM12.1 since a few months and the battery life sucks. Is there any kernel available or will there be? I would be glad to hear about it. Wish Emotion R23 kernel had a CM variant. Or is the development for this device on the verge of dying.
The problem is that most kernels are not developed any more. The only one I found that possibly still is in development is the Emotion Kernel. I am not sure about this however.

I wish someone did make a kernel, bored with the touchwiz UI and NON-multi DPI crap and issues. Atleast if RR, Temasek and Bliss teams would provide exclusive kernel zips, it would have been awesome.
CMRemix is the only one I think. I'm saying that because the kernel that comes with his ROM is the only one with extra features like more governors and it also supports voltage control. Only MM AOSP I have seen that supports that.

Does the developer provide an exclusive kernel file, i couldnt find any!
Is there a way to use (extraxt and flash) the kernel from the cmremix rom in pure AOSP (CM12.1) ?
Will the custom kernels made for CM13 work on Paranoid Android 6.0?If not then is there any way to disable BCL driver?

I had the same doubt. I flashed paranoid android yesterday in my OPO2 and flashed benschholds kernel but it did not work. It got stuck on the oneplus logo. So, I guess there are no kernels which works on AOSPA as of yet as per my research. I even tried AK kernel but no luck.
