I'm looking app that would push shutter button in Samsung photo app at certain intervals. Why ? Samsung hyper lapse mode only makes 1080p, there is no raw footage and manual camera capabilities, and hdr mode. Other camera apps that make time lapses lack of quality and manual settings capabilities. So if anyone know some app that can do shutter press at certain intervals, please writhe that app name. Thank you.

is there an app which allows the camera shutter to take rapid shots? this is almost related to the "camera timer" topic posted recently. that app has a function to dictate the number of loops within a certain number of seconds delay.
in this case would it be possible to have an app that allows the camera to take successive shots? say; when you press the camera button...unless you release it the camera would continuously take pictures.
just curious...food for thought.
cheers
very few have access to the camara api
so there is yet to come many applications which work with it
You don't need the camera api for this. I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I can convert my timer app to do this. I might get it done tomorrow if I have 5 mins spare.
Copy this file into your \Windows\Start Menu\(where you like) folder. Then goto Settings->Personal->BUttons and select "Rapid Shot" for Button 3 (Camera).
Now when you hold down the Camera button it will keep taking pictures until you release it (upto 100)
It's a bit of a hack for now but if I get a chance I'll tidy it up and put it into the camera timer app.
Cheers

hey it works! cool!
regarding "It's a bit of a hack for now but if I get a chance I'll tidy it up and put it into the camera timer app."; you may need to change the name of your program to accomodate the enhancements for the camera
thanks! cheers then
Wow. This is pretty cool.
I have a couple of comments. I don't want this sound like I am hassling you for updates to the proggy, its more of a "I have noticed the following behaviour" and if you find you wanna get around to looking at it good for you.
1 - The program relies on you being in still camera mode for it to work. If you are in video or that crappy other template mode, it just records or takes the two shots.
2 - Any chance of speeding it up?
3 - If after you have released the camera button and you are shown the preview screen if you press the camera icon the program starts to take happy snaps.
The way I think it would be cool and again, please take this as postive feedback, is if you can press the camera button to launch the camera app and then if you subsequently press and hold the camera button again, the burt mode is activates for the still shots, regardless of what capture mode you were in previously. I.e. pressing and holding will change from video to camera mode and start the burft captures.
Again, great work!! I really like the option to have burst mode. I could never press buttons that fast
wowww it is really amazing app!
thanks!
little note: when I start it manually and clik on "Go" only, it never stops taking pictures. Bug??
Hi,
I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S and because of the nice picture and video quality I've been using it a lot for quick shots.
However, what I do miss is an application that when started, will automatically start recording. So you press the widget and the recording starts (with some pre-defined settings in a config file for example).
For pictures it would constantly take pictures until some sort of pauze button is pressed.
Do you know of any applications that allow this or something that perhaps does almost the thing?

I'm really interested in this as well.
Hey guys, the standard camera app in SGS4 has a certain problem with shots being blurry. Several people complain about this already.
I found the problem is that the camera app always sets the ISO as low as possible and makes the exposure longer to compensate for the loss in brightness. This results in a very good picture quality but if you don't have hands steady as a terminator, you very often get the shot blurry.
The camera app does have an ISO setting that you can use instead of AUTO but when you restart the app it gets reset back to AUTO and I often forget to change it before I take a shot. It's also a bit annoying to not be able to just make a quick shot if you have to first go to settings and change the ISO first.
So, my question to the more knowledgeable people that know how to touch an Android under the pa... hood, hehe.
Is it possible to edit some kind of configuration file of the default app, to make the ISO settings to a default certain value instead of the current AUTO? Or even better, make a certain minimum ISO for the AUTO setting? I find ISO 50 to be really excessively low.
I have a similar issue with the camera, but connected to another of its settings: exposure value. Since the phone makes those shaky pictures (probably because of the reason mentioned above) in dark environments, I'm trying to compensate it with a higher exposure value (+2). However, this doesn't stick and I have to do it every time I take a picture, regardless of the fact that I am still in the camera app.
One note: I have the review setting on, so I can see the pic after taking it, thus I have to hit the back button to be able to take the next picture.
And one more issue: video record button starts when you hit it to switch from picture to video mode, rather than wait to switch first and press record after.
Anyone?
I've been hunting around the Web and trying various apps looking for a camera that has tap for exposure (or exposure lock). The closest one was Camera Awesome, however, an error occurs stating that it doesn't support the device if you try and activate it (I have a galaxy s4 i9505). Prior to looking into this, I really thought it wasn't too much to ask for. Does anyone know why it's not a feature that's available on our devices?
What sad is that apps on the iPhone and a jailbreak tweak for the stock camera has this feature.

S4 does have exposure lock, just not in auto mode, try night mode its also good for daylight pictures - main difference is that it is processed by software (S600) with a little more agressive denoise filter than auto mode (which is processed by bulid in Fujitsu ISP). Sport mode also does the job

Exposure lock has not been obvious on the S4... Thank you!
Can I just check... what is it that you are pressing to activate the exposure lock? Are you holding down the shutter button to lock exposure (and focus) then recomposing the frame? This method actually works for me in Auto mode as well... unless there is another method I can't seem to work out.
I found a camera that has exposure lock: CameraPro.
I'll have to use it more before I can give feed back.. initial impressions is that it's fairly easy to use with the user defined on camera/screen buttons
Simply point the cam at a bright spot so the exposure will adjust itself. Then, while holding the shutter button point at what you want to take a picture of again and release the shutter button.
This works in stock rom and cm10.2/cm11
I had been looking for a way to get those stunning long exposure shots on this device since about a week now and finally got it to work. So if you own this device, get excited, for now you too can take those gorgeous light trail photos and the moving starry night shots.
FOR THIS YOU WILL NEED :
1. A rooted device (of course)
2. Camera2Api enabled (you can install "camera2 probe" from the play store to check the status)
3. Camera FV-5 Lite
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you've got the above things, open Camera FV-5 Lite and :
>Press on the shutter speed button. If you can find 5 sec then you need not follow the below steps. You got it working. Go get those light trails.
For everyone else,
1. Open Settings ( the gear icon on the top left corner )
2. Go to General Camera Settings { the camera icon below settings }
3. Scroll down to find Compatibility
4. And finally enable "Force usage of legacy camera driver"
5. Force close the camera app and reopen it. Now you can select the Shutter speed to upto 60 seconds!
-------------------FAQ---------------
1. What is this "long exposure" shots you keep talking about ?
>>>Long-exposure, time-exposure, or slow-shutter photography involves using a long-duration shutter speed to sharply capture the stationary elements of images while blurring, smearing, or obscuring the moving elements.
2. Will this work on "INSERT_NAME_HERE" device ?
>>> Which page are you on again ? Yeah, that's right. I don't know about other devices except Redmi Note 3. Try your luck; it might work on other devices too.
3. Will this work on any other camera apps ?
>>> I've tried camera apps from Oneplus, MIUI, Motorola, htc, Asus, Meizu, among others but the best I could get was a shutter speed of 1/2 or 0.6 seconds.
4. Do I need an internet connection for this to work ?
>>>Yeah you do need it to download the above app. But other than that, no.
5. How do you keep your skin looking so young and vibrant?
>>>I'm sorry what !?
Gcam has slow shutter mode.

Yes it does. But we can't take do long exposure photography using that because Gcam's shutter speed is completely random. In dark conditions you can get about 4-5 seconds of shutter speed while in well lit conditions its almost instantaneous even in slow shutter mode.
