it work but it stopped and said operation failed
and on the screen of the phone it says "SECURE CHECK FAIL : (BOOTLOADER)"
By the way is there a way to bypass google account in SM-g950N?
Because I cant see any combination files for 950N
@rochenel, no there is no way to bypass the Google account.
Think that the error apears because you tried to flash an 950F firmware on your 950N phone.
Try to flash again with Odin an 950N firmware.

Hi Everyone
I've bricked my S4 stupidly by trying to install CF Auto Root without having USB Debugging enabled.
No my phone starts up telling me there was an incomplete upgrade and to continue it but kies can't seem to find anything.
I've tried reflashing the stock firmware but I keep receiving a error saying it can't find the PIT file for mapping.
Does anyone have one for the S4 I9505 INTL (UK) Variant.
Thanks

I've just downloaded your pit file. The problem here is I can't get back into my phone and I can only go into download mode. Initially I set USB Debugging as off and tried flashing. So now I'm stuck with a bricked phone.

glad to hear that, but usually it is flashed with the firmware if you would try again you will succeed......any way you make it :good:
Same happened with me, no matter how many times I tried flashing the PIT with the firmware, it just wouldn't have it at all.
When I flashed the PIT on it's own, it flashed fine, said reset, then booted back into android.
Glad you got it sorted though! It's scary when you see FAIL in big letters when flashing stuff! haha.

Just a word from me guys.
Please don't underestimate power of changing USB port and/or USB cable. I've just been sitting on soft-bricked s4, nothing seemed to work, ODIN 3.x or 1.8, original firmware or third party ROM/recovery etc, PIT file, nothing could be overwritten. I restarted PC and instal/reinstall drivers.. nothing.
I've changed the cable and USB port to the rear one et voila, all worked as a charm.
good luck.
So my gs4 seems to be soft bricked. I was trying to reroot my phone and it failed in the middle of rooting and now when I try to turn it on, it goes to a screen saying firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. What do I do? Do I just flash stock firmware onto the phone with odin?

pull battery,
put battery back in,
boot into odin using the physical keys (home+volume down+power),
then when it says press volume up to boot into odin, or volume down for cancel choose volume down.
Might boot up normally, i have the issue to where to recovery is messed up, all i need is the 'install-recovery.sh' but no one who has a rooted S4 running MF3 has responded to me yet..ill let you know if i fix the recovery that way.

At this point, I don't know if you'd be able to fix it that way. The only option that many users have been doing is going to best buy with a Samsung experience area and having them reflash the MF3 firmware.

Not trying to be rude but please go post this question under the GS3 forum. The GS3 forum can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3
Hello there! I recently had purchased a Samsung Galaxy s4. I did not really enjoy touchwiz. I really wanted Google Play Edition. Anyways, my phone is stuck in ODIN mode with a message saying "Downloading... Do not turn off target!" I know that you can enter download mode and hit cancel to boot. But, my issue is different. Listen. I got safestrap on my s4, and it worked perfectly. I backed up my phone and installed Google Play Edition on the STOCK slot. Turned out, Google Play Edition would not boot up so I went back into safestrap and added a new rom slot. Then I restored my firmware on that slot. I left the stock slot not working... Then I uninstalled safestrap at boot up, not thinking about the stock rom. THIS IS THE BIG MISTAKE. I then rebooted my phone, and I get odin with the error message. I can't get into recovery settings or safestrap of course. I am now stuck with no options on my phone. I try to go to download mode and hit cancel. This did not boot up my phone, only my Google Play Edition which was not working. Now I can't change my rom slot. All I want to do now is go back to touchwiz. I want to restore my phone, but how? I would really appreciate your help!
I was running android 4.3 jellybean on MF3 so I can't load TWRP.

I think you've got an incomplete flash somewhere. I don't know if this will work but try the mf3 emergency files then flash the tar file again. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2526964

You need SGS-I337_16GB.pit. Run this in Odin and it will fix your issue.
And yes I registered just to answer your question.

Do you remember what bootloader you were on?
If you were on anything higher than MF3 you are wasting your time, as you cannot downgrade this far.
MK2 and up requires those specific Odin tars. Since the original post was in January I will assume you were on MK2 at that time.
See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663545
Personally, I would just go with the NB1, since root is now out for us. Once you odin the NB1 file, grab the files needed to towelroot, root, install superuser.apk, install safestrap 3.72 and you will probably be back in business
Now... thus all said, I am having a nightmare myself... last night I was listening to music on my I337 NC1 stockly rooted, when all of a sudden it froze... so I pulled the battery (which was fully charged), put it back in, and now my phone won't power up.
Being the geek I am, I grabbed my original samsung udb cable and plugged it into my windows machine... lo-and-behold windows recognized it, but as a completely different device... Qualcom USB or something...
How can I get back to download mode? Or do I need a JTAG? :crying:

Sorry to hear about your dilemma. I probably cant help, but why not try.
Question, what do you mean by stockly rooted NC1? Are using the NC1 stock rom but rooted, or are you using another rom? Did you root using the download method or the towel root? Just curious.
I take you have tried to get to download mode using these steps?
Power off the phone completely by removing its battery for 5 seconds.
Re-insert the battery back into its place.
Press and hold Volume Down, Home and Power buttons, all at the same time.
Release the buttons only when the ‘Warning!!’ message appears.
Next, press Volume Up button to confirm that you wish to enter Download Mode.
Your device will now show a green Android with the ‘Downloading… Do not turn off target’ text listed under it.

I bought an S6 Edge+ for $100, could not pass up such a good deal.
The bad part is that it was from Sprint.
I assumed that the phone was simply "locked" to Sprint but, had ALL the internals to work with any carrier. It was unlocked by Sprint and after two weeks of waiting, I was finally able to use it with my carrier (Cricket/AT&T) My issues are that I can't seem to get LTE going. If I run it in LTE/CDMA mode I get fast data but, no calls. If I run in GSM/UMTS I get very slow 3G data and can still make/receive calls. Is there no way to get a LTE/GSM option up and running on this phone? I tried Sammobile, which I don't recommend, because everything on the internet seemed to say their site could fix the issue. After I PAID for a membership, every post I seemed to read said that it was impossible. I even tried to reach out to their community for help but, that post still has not made it on the boards. is there really nothing I can do?

I'm in a similar situation to the OP, do you have more details? Like where to get the firmware, step by step methods, etc?
Thanks for helping a few people out El Solido!
So yeah, I pretty much have read on Sammobile that the only Firmware I can flash, is the version specifically for my phone. I can't seem to find any U.S. cariers, they seem to cater to overseas models mostly. If you could elaborate more with the "how" and "where" part of flashing new firmware, that would help immensely.

Since every version of S6E+ have same hardware, you can flash whatever rom you want and since you are on AT&T, you can try flashing at&t firmware. I checked it is not available for download at sammobile, but don't worry i will send you firmware file for it.

See post above.
Will this firmware come with all the AT&T bloatware? Will my phone still be unlocked? I'm using the phone with Cricket Mobile but, they rent on AT&T towers. I'm definitely going to try and flash the phone this weekend. Does anyone know if the "original" unlocked Samsung Firmware is available anywhere?
Download link is down. I contacted the uploader to see if he could fix. We'll see. . .

First of all don't use .pit file, second can you send me screenshot of firmware files ?
I'm not actually using the PIT option. That is just part of the log errors. I've enclosed pictures to try and shed more light on what I'm doing. You'll notice I don't even have the re-partition option checked but, it shows up in log error again. I repeated these steps with ALL three different versions of ODIN. Someone suggested I try an ADB sideload of a different update but, I never cared for ADB and I'm not even sure that would help since phone is still currently Sprint software.

Since thats the problem, I suggest install TWRP and try some custom rom for your phone, most of them have all csc modes.

Hi, I just thanked you, that's a lot of good info there but quick question does the Verizon version have root available from what I've seen there is no root available for the Verizon version G928V.
The only reason I'm thinking of rooting or flashing or anything is because I want to be able to free up the bands that the Verizon version has locked out, as we know the S6 Edge Plus has all of the available van bands for T-Mobile AT&T and Verizon but certain versions have certain bands switched off. Also I want to be able to Wi-Fi hotspot tether without carrier provisioning checks..
