Does anyone know how to cast our phone to TV

Hi All. I bought my son a Tab 4 7.0 and he wants to use the Samsung TV in the kids room to do Screen Mirroring. Does this device support it? If not natively anyone have an idea? I tried the Chromecast app and casting but I can't get the Tab to cast the screen.
No it doesn't support screen mirroring and to use the chromecast app you have to make sure its on the same network and try using localcast from google play to cast to the screen.
I have a Sony Bravia android/TV 55. I can cast from YouTube and other apps but the mirror to TV won't work. It'll recognize the TV but just sits there and spins. This isn't a big deal really just curious has anyone else had this issue.
Well somehow got it to connect. I don't know how I did it. ?
Hi Is there a way to cast content on my phone to another source (via cast button) or app embedded cast that isn't chromecast? I know miracast isn't an option. I'm looking for something that doesn't require always on internet like chromecast
Ultimately I would love to buy a non chromecast reciever and cast whatever i can through my phone to it (like friends house who may not have always on wifi like chromecast requires)

Chromecast doesn't require internet. It requires WiFi (same router or not - as guest), but so it will anything else that you want to use to "cast" video.

Samsung Smart TV with the You Tube app on it. You can cast from You Tube on your phone.
Hello everyone,
Please I have a problem with my Brand smart TV (with Android TV), is that i can't find the tv to cast Youtube or Netflix ... content even if the TV and the phone are connected to the same WIFI.
I can do the Mirror cast, but the icon of casting Youtube videos doesn't fade.

Hi All,
I used to own a Pixel XL and still have the same Samsung tv. I used to be able to watch you Youtube on my phone and it didn't matter whether I was watching Youtube or Netflix or NowTv on my TV, I would be able to cast the video to my TV without any issues. This is without a chromecast and simply using whatever is built internally in the TV.
Now with my Oneplus 8 pro, I have to be on the Youtube app on the TV in order for the casting to work. So If I am watching Netflix and I want to cast my youtube video I can't simply cast it from the Youtube app on my phone, I must switch to the Youtube app on the TV first.
I have checked my TV and my phone is listed as an allowed device, I also tried using wifi direct on my phone and the TV is listed there, so it seems both are connected however there is an issue with casting from youtube on my phone.
Does this make sense? Does anyone else have this issue?
