I have a Sony Bravia android/TV 55. I can cast from YouTube and other apps but the mirror to TV won't work. It'll recognize the TV but just sits there and spins. This isn't a big deal really just curious has anyone else had this issue.
Well somehow got it to connect. I don't know how I did it. ?

Was just curious if anyone found a fix for screen mirroring my phone is rooted I noticed there is work arounds for other devices does anyone know of one for the VZW Note 3?

I'm rooted and safestrapped and running on beans ROM and mirror works fine thru MHL adapter... typing this out on my flatscreen with bluetooth mouse and keyboard as we speak... just got done playing GTA with sixaxis PS3 controller and all that mirrored well also. (Eats battery like crazy though)
I am talking about thru my samsung all share cast hub you press screen mirroring and it does not connect there is a fix for the note tablet 2014 and other samsung devices but i do not think there is one for this one.

I've been looking if there was a way to get the mirroring to function with any rendering device... I have multiple htpcs in my house all with xbmc, I can send video music whatever to it being xbmc broadcasts the pc on the network as a dmr device, but the stock mirroring on the phone doesn't recognize it
Did you find a solution yet? I've been trying to do it with the Fire TV stick. It finds it, says it's connecting but won't connect.
I have been trying to get my Note3 to work with my Sony KDL55W900A, and no luck. If I go to the "wifi direct" menu, it sees the TV but never connects. In the screen mirroring menu, it never finds the TV. I've tried everything I can think of, and no luck. Has anybody else not been able to discover their TV with their Note 3?
Roms: Stock OTA and Hyperdrive. (Both have issue.)
I just unboxed this today. So far every app I have tried to cast from doesn't work. Flixster has an error, 2 different encore apps don't work and VUDU doesn't even see it. I had zero problems on my chromecast. I upgraded to this for the AC band and for my son to play games on it. Now I can't even watch my ultraviolet movies. Is this just me or am I doing something wrong?
VUDU doesn't ever see nexus player for me either. And it stops showing up for other apps frequently. I hope a software update fixes it. Way worse for casting then Chromecast right now.
Anyone experiencing this? Telling GH to play something from youtube on shield no longer works. Also, telling GH to show a Nest cam on shield no longer works.

I love this phone, purchased it used recently. However, my only problem with it is that if I screen mirror netflix, I get a blank screen with just audio.
THE ONLY difference between the essential and working models based on DRM info seems to be that it has hdcp 2.2 while working phones have hdcp-2.2. (Hdcp is part of the version number)
Does anyone who has this phone experience this? I can't chromecast as I need the unlimited data off the mobile. If you can screen share to a tv successfully with netflix, please tell me what products you use. Thanks!

What are you trying to stream to currently?
A Roku device, or a Microsoft Wireless Display 2, or a Screenbeam Mini 2.
All of the above cast everything except netflix.
