Yesterday my turbocharger stopped working, I have the original charger and Qualcomm 3.0 car charger... Both of them charge at rate 50mA to 380mA, I checked that with Ampere app. I did reset my phone to factory settings, tried other micro USB wires.... Can someone help?
@subart what was the temperature of your phone while charging ?
Do a search, and you will find Turbo Charger doesn't work when heated more than 45℃.
For me (after 45℃)
Turbo Charging falls to 300 mAh
And non-standard (750mAh) falls to 50mAh
It's less than 40°celcius.... Right now my battery is charging at rate 90mA, and it's 40,2°celcius.

Hello,
I have been trying several charging methods. I currently have a 4800mAh battery and 02 x 1620mAh batteries for backup in case the power runs out.
But when I am out travelling I need emergency or alternative charging methods other than leaving my laptop on.
I have tried Wall USB chargers but none of them seem to be able to make the charging LED come on...
Things I tried :
1) 500mAh output Wall to USB Charger
2) 1000mAh output Wall to USB Charger
3) 1000mAh output Solar (1350mAh) Battery
4) 850mAh output Car Charger
5) 1500mAh output 04 x 2500mAh AA battery portable chargers
None seems to work... And when i am driving the batteries drain quite fast when I am run GPS...
All will work when I suspend my unit, but if the unit is on, it will not charge. And it can't be off to charge when I have the GPS is running.
Any advise?
Thanks
Hi,
I bought a wall charger for my N1 today. I was searching for one with 1000 mA output so the phone would charge twice as fast, but after having it on for a long time and seeing that it was only 22% charged, I looked at the battery status and it said "USB". I unplugged it, plugged the stock adapter and it said "AC", and started to charge at the usual speed.
Is there a way to have wall chargers that are NOT the ones provided by HTC charge at a normal speed? thanks!
Interesting... it happens the same thing with an iPhone charger, which have the same output characteristics as the stock charger. I never thought looking at the battery status
FWIW, you can easily see if your phone is charging fast or slow by installing the quick system info app (AC=fast, USB=slow).
I'm using the 1000 mA charger with the USB to micro USB cable that came bundled with the phone. Might it be the cable limiting the power?
I've been trying to figure this out too...
I bought a USB car charger to charge my phone in the car whilst driving.
However even with my phone on standby it still loses power.... I don't know whether it's because I'm using the USB cable or the charger is inferior.
It is rated a 1000mA (the charger).
I bought the HTC car charger from expansys.. bit costly at around £20 for a charger but it works perfectly for me. Drove 4 hours with copilot running, and battery remained perfectly charged
As well as the stock charger, I often use a pikie USB charger with a Nokia micro USB cable... phone reports an AC charger in use.
Hello XDA!.
I'm new here, but oh well.
My Galaxy S5, Is having charging issues, comes and goes.
Using the Ampere app I'm measuring the charging speed.
Charging with stock AC Charger - 450mA - USB Charging, It won't charge at full speed 1.8 - 2.0A.
Charging with an Aukey Superspeed charger - 1.8A, Charges fine but sometimes stuck at 450mA USB Speed.
Charging with Anker Powercore 20400mAh . 450mA, USB Speed?.
I've switched between three different batteries, all of them does this, sometimes the phone simply tells me that the battery is dead, and it won't charge. ( Note: Phone won't charge but turns on with cable in).
What can I do?, buy a new phone?
Thanks.
Hello,i m using moto G4 plus for about 2,3 days now,and its having already nougat in it while i buy it.. The problem is while i charge with the turbo charger its becoming soo hot without any reason..i tried all the possibilities for changing it like, changing the connector port, made phone in airplane mode while charging, but no luck, then also its heating..and now the nmain problem is the ghost screen issue..when i was charging the touch is not responding ,like its moves on like it wishes, but now when not charging also the ghost screen is there while using my phone for sonething the screen works its own..Anyone please helpp.. I have one doubt too if this happens beacause due to the turbo chargger ,can i change the charger and have a low volt charger which can help the phone from heating and ghost like issues.. My turo chatgers details are. ::Input 100-240V -50/60Hz 0.5A
Standard Output: 5V ----1.6A
Then its written, some ,
TURBO 1 OUTPUT:9V----1.6A
TURBO 2OUTPUT:12 V-----1.2A
These ,are the details of the turbo charger if i use a charger with some other specs for charging ,i mean having less volt charger may be the phone will not have the heating issues and all. The another charger deatails are
Input:100-240V---50/60Hz. 0.2A
Output:+5V----1A
Can i use this volt charger for moto g4 plus ..please suggest is there any problem for phone while i use this another charger????? Please help...
You should be able to use that 1A charger without issue, and your phone should be somewhat cooler whilst charging (I use an Apple iPhone charger, which is rated at 5V, 1A, for overnight charging). It'll charge slower than the Turbocharger, but won't heat up your phone quite as much. Ensure this charger is of a reliable brand and in good condition.
As you've noted, the power transferred to your device via the Turbocharger will heat up your device - I've noted the battery appears to reach about 45 degrees Celsius when left to charge. Try not to use your device whilst it's Turbocharging (or if you really need to, try to keep it to light reading), put it on a desk or somewhere where it'll be as cool as possible. However, apart from changing the charger as previously mentioned, the heat is a result of charging the device at a fast rate.
As for ghost touch, you may have to refer your device for service or for a replacement if it persists.
Hey!
So I get this funny little issue when charging with my usb pd charger.
The S10+ only charges to 80% then stops. I have to unplug then plug it back in again to get it to start charging to 100%.
Have no issues with the stock charger (will continue to use that for the time being).
I suspect it has something to do with the battery protection. But I've not got a clue. Any thoughts?
The usb pd wall charger I'm using is a ravpower 36w (max) unit.
