Yet another Unknown notification Icon - Always On Display - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Please, I cannot identify the app or resource that causes this icon, not on the status bar but only on the S8 Always On Display. Driving me crazy.
Help would be appreciated. Thanks to anyone who can. I'd post the image i have on Imgur but this is my 1st post,

I know, right? Memo, Notes, reminders, a setting, going through them all and I haven't found it. Just... Irritating...

Have you perhaps turned on "Pin Windows" in settings? Open settings and type it in the search bar. It's in Settings/Lock Screen and security/Other security settings.
I'm just spit-balling here.

I have the same exact icon - not sure what it means
I did check "pin windows" and it was not turned on. It just showed up the last day or so. I have no idea what it means and this is the first discussion I have found about it.

I had this just fixed it
Its a picture somehow pinned there just tap the icon a few times and then tap the trash can icon. Thought id share.

Thank you, Typucalguy69! That worked for me. It was actually an image I'd pinned to a reminder which I pinned to my always on display. Frustrating thing is that the reminder isn't for another month. Grrr! But, tapping it several times (??) opened the image, then I had a Delete icon to delete it.
Thanks!
Lesley

[Q] Icons missing from Galaxy S5!

I'm frustrated!
I want to edit the order of my "Quick Settings" in the Notification bar, but there is no icon (the pencil icon on the right side up) where it should be!
Also, when I press the "Options" button (the three squares) in the Settings page, most option are missing!
The only one that appears is 'List view' (to a total of 2 views - 'Grid view' and 'List view'), whereas the third view, the 'Edit quick settings' and the 'Help' options are missing!
I've got pictures to prove my point and help you see my problem but, unfortuately I can't post them here.
What is wrong? Is it because of the edition of the phone?

Depending on the device model and also the firmware version, there are some variation of the Settings menu. So I cannot realize what is your Settings menu structure.
You can open the S Finder and enter 'notification panel' to search.

Same thing happens. I sadly think it is because of the firmware, as you say, and there is nothing I can do about it.
Thanks for your reply, though!

What does that mean? Did you find this menu using S Finder?
If you cannot find this settings, here is another way:
Install Shortcut Master app, open Menu > Search > enter 'notificationpanelsetting' to search. Finally tap on the search result to open this settings.

Yes and, again, the notification panel had no pencil on the uppermost right corner. :/

I had high hopes for this (on my search on the Net, I found no solution like this) but, alas, the search came back with 0 results. Searched both 'notificationpanelsetting' and 'notificationpanelsettings', and 0 results for 'notificationpanel' as well!
edit:
Oooh! That's why I thought I recognised the name of the app creator - it was you! Nice job, btw!
Sorry, I have searched on my Note 3, not S5.
However the function may be missing because of different firmwares.
You can bypass this problem by flashing another firmware.

Lemfo Lem 5 interface problem

I got my lemfo lem 5 yesterday and I love it, but the only thing I don't like is that I have to scroll all the way to settings - audio - volumes to change from sound to vibrate only. I'd like the lower button to work as vibrate/sound switch so I installed a button remap app from playstore. Then it says to enable the app in the accessibility section in settings but when I get there there is no enable option, just like other settings in the accessibility section. I'll attach a screenshot. Anyone knows how to solve this or any other way to swap ring/vibrate?

Unusual Google search bar widget

Hello folks, I've got a strange visual issue with my Galaxy S8:
Huh, seems like I can't link any images. Sorry if I trasgress the board rules in my first post:
hCATSttp://i.imgur.com/xwKihwe.png
My Google search bar stopped being the Galaxy S8's one. The microphone icon is still in the right but the Google logo is now absent, the space is more bright (I think), the corners aren't rounded, and the text "Say Ok Google" is aligned in the right. Practically, it's in material design with the wrong alignment.
There aren't any other launcher installed, I'm still using TouchWiz/Samsung Experience.
How can I fix this problem?
P.S. The similar threads popup sure is useful (not for my case), every board should have something like this.
This has happened to me as well.
To fix you'll need to go into the Google App Settings --> Widgets --> Turn off "Show Updates"
Hope that helps.

Where can I get that one?

how to remove peeking notification?

how to remove headsup or peeking notifications ? on the LG G6 THANKS.
I don't have any peeking notifications unless you're talking about the phone call popup that shows when you're using the phone
When I get a text or any message the notification comes down on the screen I just want to remove that feature of it showing up on the screen while I'm doing something

Okay no what about other apps? I use Hangouts fpr my texting and it doesn't have this option. Any ideas?
The same question for me. I have peeking with whatsapp also, even if whatsapp has this option and by default has always been disabled. I don't like peek notifications I would like to understand how to remove them by phone options, not by app.

This was driving me nuts too, for Google Hangouts. Tried "Do No Disturb". Didn't work. Very frustrating when using the phone full screen in landscape mode.

Software (ease of use, features, etc)

When you hand your phone to granny to take a photo of you, can she get the job done? Rate this thread to express how you deem the Redmi Note 9 Pro's camera software. A higher rating indicates that the software is easy to use, fast, uncluttered, and inclusive of advanced features for when you need them.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
camara error
my camera application sometimes throws an error when starting, it tells me "the camera cannot be connected" and it closes and I cannot open the application for a few minutes or until I restart the device

I have the same problem but it's not happening a lot and just relaunching camera app fixes the problem.
well. I haven't got any issues with camera so far. MIUI has a lot of customization and I freaking love the fullscreen gesture based mode. Unfortunately theres a lot of bloatware included too. and that obsession with cache cleaning/boost/anti virus stuff I really hate. Almost all of that can be disabled, but such is the default state of MIUI
I do not know if it is just me, but I do not see the button to edit the quick settings, it is uncomfortable having to enter settings to activate or deactivate some function and not being able to do it from quick settings
Pull down the notification bar twice to expand the tile part and swipe them to the left. The last tile is the "editing" tile ?

Hey, no problem! ?
Main thing is that the problem was given to you anbdthe team, so you could do something to fix it ?
Quick test from laptop...can be deleted then
let's wait for the loading of images to be solved, but really they are a lot of functions that I can't put in quick settings, I always have to enter settings ?
Okay, seems I misunderstood you.
I thought you are searching for a way to sort your tiles on the quick setting at the notification bar.
For that I have a button, but I also couldn't add other tiles.
You are right, I remember that on my Note 5 Pro with Android 9 there were more tiles at all, with the possibility to show or hide them on the notification bar...
