Radio Randomly Resets - LG G6 Questions and Answers

I've been experiencing very annoying random Radio reset on my TMo G6. Strong signal, everything working well, then bam... both mobile and WiFi radio lose signal and regain. There is no rhyme or reason when that happens and has very little effect on usability, but seems to be some sort of a big never the less.
Anyone else?

Random WiFi or Bluetooth resets
I have this problem as well, and am comforted to know that someone else has reported this issue. I'm thinking of requesting a warranty replacement. What did you do to address the issue?

Wifi issues

Hi, I have a couple of problems with my wifi connection, and I wanted to know if anybody else had these issues before calling t mobile about another warranty replacement. I'm running royal ginger 2.1, not over clocked or under voted at all, with the kernel that comes stock with this rom.
First issue, I'm getting
An iphone like "death grip" when holding the phone at the top, the way anyone would while using in landscape mode. the phone goes from like three bars wifi to none in a few seconds and the connection can drop altogether.
The second is a wifi sleep issue. When I press the power button to put the phone to sleep or standby or whatever it's called and leave it for maybe an hour or so, the wifi disconnects and may or may not reconnect when I wake it up again.
I'm going to make a video of both these things happening when I get home to illustrate the problems I'm having. Does anybody else get these issues?

I had signal problems holding near the top of the phone. Haven't noticed any bad drop in signal since I updated the radio. I'm not using the one from the tmobile update, its the radio from the panache. It fixed my GPS signal too.

I'm not having gps problems, but it seems that the sensation users all have this death grip as well. I suspect it is a hardware related problem, but I guess I'll try flashing a new radio. Thanks

Still losing wifi and carrier service after 602 update

MANY gingerbread phones have reported signal issues. The DX being one of the worst. The recently released 602 update was supposed to fix the issue with an updated baseband. However, I am still having problems with random wifi and signal loss. usually without the lost signal icon. The phone simply stops exchanging any data. As if in airplane mode but no indication of it. Although it does seem better, it is still not "fixed" for me.
Anyone else still have this problem?

Cellular connection lost and unable to reconnect

I don't know if anyone has experienced this but I've noticed that occasionally cellular connection will be dropped and it will not reconnect regardless of time and coverage. It also seems isolated to my phone. It was like that since I got it I think. Only fix is to reboot at which point connection will be reestablished immediately.
Anyone know of a fix or have the same experience?
Newer stock roms have not fixed it nor has custom kernel. I'm considering trying to see if a custom rom does the trick.
I hope it's not a hardware problem. Would be a pain to try and cover up all I've done to my phone
Bump. I think it's a hardware issue. It's like the radio deactivates itself or loses power. A search for network providers doesn't seem to come up with anything. Only a reboot solves it as mentioned.

Signal drops randomly (and frequently). Verizon.

I have a problem with my 6p where the signal just drops to nothing (Looking for service) and 3 or 4 seconds later it reconnects to a good LTE connection. The problem is not my connection as I live in a good area. I was rooted with xposed but for ****s and giggles I went back to complete stock and it is still happening.
I have reset the APN settings to no avail. Is this a thing that is known to this phone? Should I get a replacement? It started just recently it seems as I have had this phone since launch.
What sucks is, is that this phone is absolutely perfect (or was) and I dont want to get sent a phone with screen issues.
EDIT: I ended up getting an RMA and everything is hunky-dory.

What radio version are you on? You can flash a different version in fastboot and see if it helps.

Im on the newest one. Do I just extract it out of the 6.0 image file and just flash it over the top of the existing one?
I forgot to also mention that I tried getting a new SIM card from Verizon but that did not fix it either.

Yeah. Extract it and flash it over the top in fastboot.
Did you ever find a remedy for this problem? I'm having the same issues on t-mobile so its definitely not network or a similar related issue. Did flashing the radio from the 6.0.0 rom fix the issue? I already tried several different 6.0.1 radios and a radio from 7.0 but to no avail. I'm about to try it and if it doesn't work I'm getting rid of this phone.
I'm going to assume you mean you'll be on LTE for the longest time then all of a sudden signal completely drops then comes back on, but without the LTE signal showing near the bars, so you'll have to airplane mode, then switch mobile data on and off, then do a restart. If this is the case. That has been a documented CM13 issue for the longest time. I had the same issue with the HTC M8...

I am on LTE but as the OP said the signal randomly drops completely for 4-5 seconds them comes back LTE and all. I don't have to reboot or anything. This doesn't have to do with cm13 though, I've tried flashing back to full stock and I still have the problem there too.

Damn man...I have no idea - possibly radio like the guy above my post mentioned. Wish I were of better assistance.

I've managed to get a logcat at almost the exact time the signal drop happens, I had to put it in a Zip since the Txt document was too big for the thread. The drop happened in the last couple minutes. I'm hoping someone here with more experience than me can help me solve this issue. Thanks in advance.
Having the same issue on T-Mobile smh... it gets annoying at times!

Same problem here. On Verizon
Anyone find a fix? I'm on the latest Android N Beta on Tmobile and still have the issue.

Does anyone else's S7 edge do this?

The 4G LTE icon keeps flashing on and off when on wifi. This starts occurring after an indeterminate period of time and will not stop until I restart the phone. Once restarted, it stops for a while and then starts again. Kinda annoying. Video below. I am pressing down on the screen with my finger only to keep the screen from going off and for no other reason.
Mine and my girlfriend's both do this. Annoying and I don't know why.

Seems like they have some serious WiFi issues to sort out on this phone. Seems to be affecting people's ability to connect to bluetooth as well. Hope ATT greenlights the patch quickly when it becomes available.
Try taking off the smart switch for wifi/mobile data

Mine does this when it's looking for a GPS signal, it's a part of location tracking, when it looks for a location, it uses GPS, Network info , Wifi info, etc. perhaps thats why, turn off Location services and see if it stops just to test it out.
I chatted with a Samsung rep and he told me to wipe the cache partition in recovery. I did that and the problem has not reappeared in a few days. I also had an update pushed just now, so maybe that will further fix the issue.
