[Q] Installing the StockMod Kernel doesn't affect the kernel version?

I have installed the StockMod kernel version 3.0, however, the kernel version in the about phone section still shows the default 3.4.0 version. TWRP says that the installation was successful. Now how do I know if the kernel was installed or not?
Thank You

[Q] install AK kernel with slimkat rom

I am now using slimkat beta 1.95 with stock kernel of the rom and I want to flash the ak kernel v.305 on my phone.
Can I flash it directly?
BTW, how does this kernel do in battery life and what app can I use to adjust the performance?
Thanks...

And I am using the trickster Mod ,I fond a problem that I can't lock the min frequency to 162HZ or even 384hz, it will jump back to 912Hz automatically. Howver, the system monitor app shows that my cpu was working on 384-1512Hz.
Do you know how to solve this pro?
BTW, I have used ak kernel for almost 1 day and I think ak kernel makes the battery drain faster than the slim stock kernel....kind of upset:crying:

Thanks for your reply, my variant is D805, and I'm using the default kernel (linaro), I asked because I want to see the battery consumption in Dorimanx.
One more question, the knock code is enabled in this kernel on your phone?
Thank you so much.

if you use a rom that has knock-code feature - than it should work... (search the dorimanx thread for "knock code" and you'll see what other users said)
i don't use knock code, only knock-on...

I did this move, my battery life was a little worse (Not that much really) (D806), but the performance was way better.

NO, LG Stock ROM is based on 5.0.2 and this kernel works only on this base.

Hi,
Dorimanx has defined profiles for different usage. I would guess that extreme battery profile is the one you are looking for. ( is to be set in the profile tab in stweaks app)
@dorimanx , sorry for ask this, but, wich stock rom did you flash? D? Or B? I can't remember
30B he did..
me too
Kernel compile
Hi,
As I'm curious, I'm trying to compile dorimanx kernel jus to see how all this is working.
So I've pulled three repo (crosstool-ng-by-dorimanx, DORIMANX_LG_STOCK_LP_KERNEL, lp_ramdisk_dorimanx )
when I run ./default_build.sh I have this error:
android-toolchain/bin/arm-eabi-ar: error while loading shared libraries: libfl.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
both libfl-dev i386 and x86_64 are installed on my 14.04 Ubuntu system.
If any of you know what is the problem, please let me know ?
Flashed dori1.2 on 30b Somboons Rom. Dorimanx states "sorry, no kernel support".

Spoiler
LG G2 D802
Dorimanx LP Kernel
Stock LP
ViPER4AndroidFX+Poweramp
? ATH-M50x ?
Thank you for excellent kernel. I was so angry because of stock.
What exactly is 'UltraSound high performance audio hardware'? Another tweaks to audio drivers? I must say that sound quality on kitkat dorimanx seems to be better than other kernels.

What is the most Stable ROM?

I'm coming back to the G2 and have to admit...I'm a little rusty with Root/ROMS etc.
What would you guys recommend as the most stable ROM to use for a daily driver?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can provide!

Thanks Panther.
Soon as my replacement G2 gets here I'll check it out!
Confirmed. Cloudy with Dorimanx. No reboots, no freezes. (I really know it because I'm running Macrodroid which shows every reboot in the notification bar.)
Guess this can sum up what you guys have already been saying

Cloudy G2 KK is the best ROM but low android version, Cloudy Lollipop is second best but newer android version, Cloudy Lollipop with Dorimanx Kernel is best.
Also Good ROM = Ressurection Remix but all this other ROM's which not stock got **** camera, sound and Battery life.
