Battery charge notification

Anybody know how to turn that thing off? I've got the phone set to leave the screen on when plugged in. If I plug the phone in and walk away, the notification turns the screen on and then it stays on until I get back to it. Its already happened more than once and ended up being on all night.
I'd prefer a built in setting but I guess a market software solution would work if need be.
Thanks for any solution.

I 2nd this, that battery notification is just annoying.
Is there anyway for the screen to auto turn off even while charging? I noticed when not charging the screen auto turns off, but while charging if you dont manually lock the screen, itll be on and wont turn off.

Go to settings>applications>development and make sure stay awake is not checked. If it is uncheck it.

[Q] Sudden Brick??

Heya, as you might've guessed my N4 doesn't turn on anymore
I rooted the phone this morning (didn't flash anything yet) and it was working all fine, until this evening I decided to go into Recovery mode. I turned the phone off and long pressed power button/volume down and it didn't turn on anymore.
The screen doesn't turn on at all, and there is no LED charging light either. I should mention battery must've been around 70% when I turned it off.
I got 2 theories: power button broke (possible?) or hard-brick (how come?).
Anyone got any idea? Any help would be reeeaally appreciated
EDIT: It's currently plugged in, but neither any LED notification is showing up and neither that large battery that usually pops up when charging with the phone off.

Lightflow, some other root only apps like Titanium backup.
Before I turned my phone off, I gave Solid Explorer root access.
Any help guys..? Is it even possible to sent the phone back to Google, and ask for a replacement?

Well..I obviously tried that.
It doesn't boot up, doesn't go into fastboot mode either.
Is it possible to send the phone back? Since the phone doesn't even turn on, can they find out it was rooted?
Problem Solved A hard reset did the trick.
At this point I'm doubting if it was even hard-bricked in the first place

[Q] Notification light stuck

Since this morning my notification light is stuck in solid green. I did not install any new apps, rebooting did not fix it. I even powered off the phone and the light remained on. Only removing the battery turns the green led off but as soon as I put the battery back the LED turns back on to green, even without starting the phone again.
Is it me or does this sound like a hardware fault...?
I have a I9505 running stock XXUDMH8, TPH csc. I am not rooted or in any way running a modified system. I have no apps dedicated to overriding LED settings installed.
Any ideas on what to try?
Thanks.
Try a factory reset from settings... but u will loose app data...

Seems like a hardware glitch to me

As the led stays on even with the phone off, do you believe this will help?
I am not rooted so doing a factory reset is a major thing as I have no backups.

I did a factory reset and it didn't fix the problem. My notification LED is still stuck in green. I guess it's off to warranty.... Not happy.

Yes, the LED stays on with the phone powered off. If I remove the battery the LED quickly fades away but starts back on as soon as I put the battery back in place.

Seems like a problem with the hardware. You need to return it back and most probably warranty will cover it... Try also to disable the notification led from the settings...
I have almost exactly the same problem. Today I left the phone charging overnight and in the morning the notification LED was bright blue. It stayed this way after I opened and read all texts and mails, it stayed regardless if the screen was on or off, it even stayed when I turned the phone off(!) and I only managed to put it out by pulling the battery - however it went back on immediately after replacing the battery. I turned off all notifications in settings, made sure I have plenty of free memory and card space etc. etc. The only thing I managed to do was to make it dim blue instead of bright blue after shutting down and booting up again. Now it lurks in the darkness, occasionally flashing, but mostly just glowing in blue.
The only ideas that I have left:
- some app update brought an unsolicited feature, but how to check it w/o wiping up everything? and how the hell does it stay lit after turning off the phone anyway?
- something went bad when charging - but these phones are supposed to have some protections from overcharging, so it shouldn't be a problem if it stays connected at 100%, right? besides, the phone works perfectly normal otherwise.
- I'm using an s-view cover, maybe it has something to do with it? I tried removing it to no avail - but maybe the magnets embedded in the cover contributed over time to the now-observed led malfunction?
@AlexandreT - do you use S-view? from what I understand, your problem also occurred after charging - did the phone stay on charger for long, eg. overnight? maybe you managed to solve the problem since?

I don't use S-view. The problem occurred after charging overnight. It was solved by replacing the whole motherboard under warranty.
Sorry for the late answer.
Just use led xposed modules to switch it off

Phone Screen Wakes Up and Stays On All Night

Hello,
I tried searching around the forums but was unable to find a similar problem, so let me describe the problem:
Plug USB3.0 cable into the phone to charge overnight.
Screen immediately lights up because of the charge connection, I press the power button to turn off the screen
Upon returning a few hours later or the next morning the phone screen is on (all night long)
I have the following settings on the phone:
screen timeout set to 15 seconds
"Stay Awake, Screen will never sleep while charging" is turned off under developer options
phone is NOT rooted
Any other ideas on what's going on here? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have Noticed this behavior as well,
Funny thing tho... I clicked "stay awake" in developer options... then do the same as you... plug in the charger, turn off the screen... and now it stays off :silly:

Interesting, I tried what you suggest...Anytime I get a text the screen does come back on and it now stays on so this doesn't quite do the trick for me.
Thanks!
Mine stays off...sounds like maybe a rogue process. Check and see what has the longest process runtime...If it's a user installed app delete it. That doesn't I'd say factory rest

I was getting this behavior, the screen was turning on and off (basically flashing) when I got a text message. I finally uninstalled Textra and that resolved it.
I haven't tried another 3rd party text app, yet.
My phone Screen stays awake all-night what can I do to fix it ?
What did you do to break it?
Presuming this is new behavior, what did you add or remove?

The phone DOESN'T turn on/go into recovery/go into safe mode/turn on the charging LED

Have you tried going into download mode then rebooting from there?

If you can try wireless charge and usb to see if it responds as well as hold all buttons on device for upto 20 seconds to see if it truly force resets it
