Hello everyone, my wife and I have s7 edges, 935u editions from best buy. We are using them on T-Mobile, have the latest updates, and we seem to have a bit of an issue.
Wi-Fi calling. Text messages, to be specific, fail to send on wifi. It's not all the time, either. Very sporadic. Think it's just Wi-Fi calling not working correctly? Or is there something I can do on my end? I couldn't find a thread with my exact problem. If there is one and I missed it, I apologize in advance.
Thanks in advance!
I believe this is a network problem..not from the phone itself. Try contacting them

Ok so you guys are the best when it comes to these answers, ATT cant help me cause they stink, anyway. I have recently come out of town for the holiday and now my phone will NOT log into the internet. I keep getting that there is a a connectivity error. So i cannot do ANYTHING online related, update stock reports, check mail or go to websites. But i can still make calls, texts and i can even still use the WIFI router option and it shows up on my mac.
What could be the problem? At&t had NO help for me, told me to call HTC, yeah no thanks.
Suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
*****Problem solved, i ticked the switch time zones automatically option and it started working! How come AT&T couldnt tell me that? Laaaaaame!
Both mine and my wife's 6p's are not able to access the internet while a call is in progress. My phone is unlocked & rooted, however my wife's is complete stock so I know that can't be the issue. I've also tried disabling the "enhanced" calling with LTE under cellular networks on both devices and this doesn't fix the issue, either. We're on Verizon, for what it's worth. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so what carrier are you on? Thanks!
EDIT: Fixed it for anyone else who comes across a similar issue: after going into my Verizon online and adding the Advanced calling 1.0 feature to my line, then rebooting my phone, and waiting a few minutes, things automagically started working.

Just bumping because I had the same issue and this fixed it.
Thanks
Hi, I'm having the same issue with a stock Nexus 6P on Verizon. However, I can't find Advanced Calling 1.0 anywhere. I found 'HD Voice' on Verizon and added it to my plan, and made sure the 'Enhanced 4G LTE Mode' is on and it still doesn't work. I've rebooted many times, no luck. Any ideas? I read somewhere that it may depend on what kind of tower you are on, does anyone have any more information about that or what I can do to make this work? I also still have unlimited data and I use my hotspot all the time, so this is a real problem. Thanks!
I am bumping this thread. I have unlimited data under the Verizon grandfathered plan. Does turning this feature on count as a change to my account and possibly mess with my unlimited data status?
Anyone else with a similar problem? I am also using an unlimited data plan under Verizon. I have the feature turned on and still have data dropout every time I am on a call. This has been present ever since the 6.0.1 update for me.....
My provider is t-mobile germany. I have everything enabled on my account page, and wifi calling is working sometimes for a day or two. But after a while it just wont turn on. The same with volte at this point. I have to restart the phone to get this functionality up and running again.
Happens on both rooted custom roms, as well as stock rom. In both cases i took extra care to use the official stock rom from t-mobile germany dtm or the appropriate csc when using a custom rom.
Anyone else having similar problems? Is there maybe a way to reset the radio part of the s7 edge without having to restart the whole phone? Or maybe a more permanent solution? Turning on flight mode and turning off does not do the trick. A friend of mine has no such problems with his iphone 6. Same network, same wifi and same t-mobile account variant.
Thanks for reading!
just wondering why do you need wifi calling if you have unlimited talk/text?
Reception at work is bad, and i have to be available for my family and customers. During the times it is working i find this to be a very valuable feature. And besides, it should work all the time, but sadly doesn't in my case. Anyone else having similar problems?
I'm hoping this is the right place to ask, haven't posted here before, but I'm stumped. I recently upgraded to the LG G6, it's on Bell in Canada. Loving the phone, but having one big issue. When I'm connected to WiFi, I miss calls and texts, it's not consistent but often enough that it's a problem. As soon as I disconnect from WiFi I get any delayed texts and voicemail notifications for any calls I had missed. I'm just running stock, and these are the steps I've tried so far:
-changed sim, nope
-factory reset, nope
-tried sim in another new G6, nope
-turned off VoLTE in call settings, nope
-cannot find a WiFi calling setting or would have disabled as well
-checked with Bell and LG and both say they're unaware of any related issues and advised wait for patch.
Anyone have any other suggestions that may help? I really like the phone, not a Samsung fan and I'll wait for updates if need be, but maybe it's a quick fix in the settings somewhere. *fingers crossed*
Thanks!
WiFi calling setting is in the call option inside your system settings.
Could be your WiFi/router isn't good enough to handle that.
Sounds like a port forwarding issue quite honestly. Probably a Wi-Fi router issue more than the phone issue.

I don't have a WiFi calling option in my call settings, it should be directly under the volte toggle I thought, but can't find it anywhere. And happens on multiple WiFi networks. My home network itself is getting about 50mps download speed when I run speed test on my phone on WiFi.

That's very strange that you don't have a WiFi calling option. Is WiFi calling a region specific feature as well??
If I'm not mistaken, I think it's carrier and device specific. I checked through my Bell plan and I don't see it listed as a feature, but I know the G6 supports it. But I checked everywhere and can't find anything pertaining to it. Odd.

Maybe that is the issue. Perhaps the LG Software is trying to accept calls and texts through the WiFi signal but something that your carrier has done with the blocking off WiFi calling on their end is causing the bug. I'm not too savy with the way Android and it's coding works.
VoWiFi is carrier specific feature. though LG G6 supports it , carrier can disable the feature as you bought phone from him. you can go to hidden menu (277634#*# or *#546368#*872# , here 872 is the phone model , replace it with yours) and turn off VoWiFi.
I bought an international s7 edge since the American Snap models have locked bootloaders. I flash custom roms and stuff, so Exynos was a must for me. However, since my phone wasn't made for the T-Mobile network, it's missing a few things
1) Video Calling results in "Unable to make Video Call to this number"
2) I have no way to toggle Wi-Fi calling, a feature I want to use since T-Mobile is charging for it
3) I have no idea if VoLTE is working or not, since there isn't a toggle under connections or the phone app
I remember on my TMO s6 edge+ most of these features were simple floatingfeature.xml codes that needed to be enabled. Unfortunately, I no longer have that phone and don't remember the codes, or know if adding these codes to an international will solve my problem. I would greatly appreciate any help you could offer, and thank you for reading!

This one has a simple installation and solves all the problems I was having. Would definitely recommend this one for others in my situation.
