Hello, I just read about the issue of the O7 which consists in constant rebooting and SD card failure.
But mine is a little bit different. It started booting every time I plug in the USB cable, even its only AC.
It boots, and then SD failure shows up.
So I shut down, wait some minutes, and restart, but then it started rebooting even without USB cable.
SD failure was getting more frequent, but I got lucky, WP got to work and I did ASAP a reset.
Now its working, it didn’t reboot until now, even whith USB cable.
Anyone an Idea what’s going on???
Ok, it just rebooted + SD failure after 1h charging at PC-USB.
What’s going on?? Now the problem is that I don’t know if LG will repair my phone in warranty, because thanks to Microsoft, I got the OPN and was forced to rebrand to Vodafone because I needed the Wifi theetering.
I know that the flash has nothing to do with the issue, because it’s a known issue.
An Idea was to rebrand to OPN, but if the phone reboots during flash, I’ll be screwed.
Recently my 8GB nexus 7 (stock unrooted) stopped charging. I am using the stock power brick but not the stock cable. I did the obvious thing and tried the stock cable but it made no difference. I rebooted to safe mode but it didn't help. Also now when I turn off the tablet it shuts down and after a couple seconds the backlight flickers back on for a moment. I don't know if I should be worried about that.
Now the interesting bit is that it will charge when off which I've seen mentioned in other posts but haven't found a solution for. The USB port works as though it's completely broken (no charging or data transfer) until you turn the device off at which point it works just fine.
And here's why I know this is a software issue and not hardware. When I attempt to turn on USB debugging the tablet freezes and reboots. When I attempt to switch from MTP to PTP the tablet freezes and reboots. Something is clearly up software-wise.
My last attempt at a fix was to clear the cache partition from recovery but that didn't do anything either.
So XDA, I'm all out of ideas short of a factory reset which according to other posts doesn't do anything either. Anyone have any other ideas or things to try?
I've been having an issue with my OnePlus 2 since I got it where sometimes it won't charge until I've rebooted the unit. It will not lose battery while plugged in and in this state but says not charging and shows the plugged in battery icon. Anyone else having this issue?
Yep, but I usually don't use the official cable/charger.
Yah, I am also facing this problem with my brand new OP2.
Yeah same issue with my handset. It would use the USB data connection and everything will work fine. But it won't charge, for which I require a reboot.
I called up their customer care and I was asked to clear the cache, which I did. Will post my observations further
I get this issue too. Hopefully it's a software issue that can be fixed on all opt. Are any of you on a custom rom or kernel?
I'm on stock rom with AK kernel.
clear cache
Getting this very annoying issue also. Its clearly software because, as mentioned, a reboot solves this.
Can you tell me what cache they asked you to clear? How did you actually do this?
Cheers
Noam M.
I received my phone yesterday, and charged it up to 100%. Today it refused to charge from my computer, and I had to plug it into the wall with the AC adapter to get it to charge. I will try a reboot next time and see if that works.
I'm running it 100% vanilla.
Me too - same issue.
Stock Cable always (others are still no delivered..)
also Stock Kernel + ROM (Oxygen 2.1.1)
I have the same issue: it charged when plugged into the AC adapter or an Anker, but wouldn't charge when connected to my MacBook. It still drew its power from the USB connection though, so it stayed at the same battery level. A reboot did not help. Using the rooted stock ROM (2.0.3).
Same issue here though I have only had this problem while charging via PC USB port. Charging from AC power adapter works fine every time.
I am on a 1 month old OnePlus 2 A2003 (European) with Android 5.1.1, kernel 3.10.49 and Oxygen OS 2.1.1.
Also encountering this problem – it appears that after the phone successfully charges to 100%, it needs to be rebooted before it enables charging from a USB port again. Charging using a wall charger seems to work at any time.
There's a discussion about this issue over on the OP forums. Just thought I'd cross-link the two.
I haven't received the 2.1.2 update yet; will post if it fixes the problem.
Well, so far it looks like the 2.1.2 update fixed the issue indeed, at least for me and one other poster over at the OP forum.
Try These :
1. reboot in bootloader mode. (switch off -> power button + vol. low)
Wipe Cache (if you wipe data your phone will be reset!)
It should work now!
2. Let your battery go to 0% and wait for 5 minutes, now plug it into charge, it should work properly now.
Do Thank! if it worked!
I'm in stock ROM. Suddenly my phone is not recognising charger and earphone unless I restart. But still, QC is not working. Phone is charging real slow. I've tried different Qc3.0 chargers and different cables, but the issue is still present. Battery life is good in stock ROM, so really not interested in changing ROM.
I can see other people also facing this issue. Anyone have solution?
If you are still on stock, try a factory reset. It sounds like you either have severe corruption or your battery is dying, or your usb card has a shorted wire.
The main problem with stock is the charging, generates too much heat.
Galactic Stryder created a kernel made to resolve stock charging issues. To be able to install it, you would need to root your phone and install TWRP recovery. I would try the factory reset first.
Should you try this option, you will need to post in the forum for support and instructions.

thanks! will try this i have the same issue... never rooted device !
before this, about 1 mo ago I got a problem.
it takes restart whent main speakers volume gets at 80% with any sound. so I had to keep silent the phone or set below 80%.
But today I discovered that it gets turned off whenever the charging stops. after that, I tried to turn on but again turns off after boot logo. there was no low battery signal. I checked several times and it happened every time.
I never had any battery issue.
please help me where is the actual problem and how to solve that!
A bad c port PCB can cause weird behavior in Samsungs beyond charging.
If you did any major firmware upgrades it's time for a factory reset.
Otherwise clear the system cache.
If the boot loop garbage continues, factory reset.
The original flash may be corrupted if that doesn't work... or it's a hardware issue, a definit possibility.
If under warranty it's time to send it in.
