I'm in stock ROM. Suddenly my phone is not recognising charger and earphone unless I restart. But still, QC is not working. Phone is charging real slow. I've tried different Qc3.0 chargers and different cables, but the issue is still present. Battery life is good in stock ROM, so really not interested in changing ROM.
I can see other people also facing this issue. Anyone have solution?
If you are still on stock, try a factory reset. It sounds like you either have severe corruption or your battery is dying, or your usb card has a shorted wire.
The main problem with stock is the charging, generates too much heat.
Galactic Stryder created a kernel made to resolve stock charging issues. To be able to install it, you would need to root your phone and install TWRP recovery. I would try the factory reset first.
Should you try this option, you will need to post in the forum for support and instructions.

I've been working on my friends 8125. First the original battery died and he couldn't charge it with the phone, so I performed the "jump start" trick with the 9v battery. That resolved the issue, but then he let it die again, and he jump start trick didn't work. SO the diagnosis was to replace the battery...
Well now that I have a new battery that works, the phone has somehow gotten stuck in "Charge Mode" and the moment I insert the battery it starts to overheat. This occurs before even turning the phone on. Once turned on the battery indicator shows that it is charging, even though its not plugged in.
I'm wondering if this is due to a hardware problem with the mini-USB port or something.
I searched the forums, but didn't find anything close to this issue so any idea will be much appreciated.
I'd say
that it was the battery. Try another one.
Overheating Issue
Being that it was already tested with a new battery and still didnt work, I would try to go into bootloader and reflash with original att or tmobile rom for the 8125.
I have the same problem, I've already re flashed the original ROM but still have the problem, any suggestions?
Hi all, picked up a GS2 the other day which had the USB charging issue. i.e. Plug charger in and it either wont show up or gives false data and unplug it still shows charging. Also, the battery temp sign showing and battery pull leaves a fully charged battery dead!
Looked around on here and on the net for various causes and possible fixes. These ranged from changing ROM, replacing the USB charging port, calibrating the battery, any number of different things etc etc.
So in theory, it is either a software issue and/or a hardware issue! But to me that made NO SENSE. It couldn't be both, well maybe for a small % of people it could be but for the majority, it had to be something else.
Well, as it would seem from my findings, in my case, it was something else. It would appear that the MODEM/RIL combo is causing the issue.
I tested this on my non-functioning device by flashing a new MODEM/RIL combination and then re-flashing the old one just to check. The old one has the issue, the new combo it is gone!
So IF you have this issue, try flashing a new MODEM/RIL combo and see IF it fixes the problem BEFORE spending any money on repairs.
As IF by some wacky coincidence forum member hawkerpaul has created a thread just today with CWM flashable MODEM/RIL's combo's, find them herehere
Hope this solves the issue for you as well

I have this weird problem with my device. The USB connection is messed up all together!
Let me explain from the beginning.
I was playing some game and suddenly the phone did a little vibration and the Dock page appeared and it was gone in no time.
I considered it not important and kept playing. After some time I connected the phone to PC and it did not recognize the device.
So I rebooted the phone and it didn't work again. Now the AC charger has the same problem, it won't charge the device.
The weird part is that upon booting, after I enter the pin code the phone goes into USB mode without the cable even being connected.
I even tried wiping the phone to no avail.
I've tried different cables and different PCs to the same result.
I'm using TWRP with X-Note.
Someone please help. I'm desperate.
UPDATE: It seems that something's wrong with USB port. When I press on it, the phone sometimes goes to charging mode.
Had the same, solved it!

Keep cool, I had the same probs, and in addition to that my dock-mode no longer worked, no music-out via USB, etc.
Samsung changed the USB-Port, although I was rooted and had Philz touch recovery installed, Knox tripped. Anyhow, after getting it back from Samsung, it worked fine.
One day later the same problem appeared again. So I was thinking about what I did in the meantime: I recalibrated my battery with "battery calibration", and I received some updates from Samsung.
So I fully wiped my phone, and everything was perfect again. I uninstalled "battery calibration", and since then the problem is gone. I DID NOT RESTORE A NANDROID, NOR ANY APP WITH TITANIUM, got all apps back via Play store. Only some app-settings were restored with Titanium.
So, did you use that tool, or wiped your battery stats?
Check and please let me know, if it worked for you. If not, what are you running on your device (ROM, rooted?, CWM?)? Did you really fully wipe your device via recovery?
I am on German Stock Rom N9005XXUENB7, still rooted, by the way..

I used "Battery Calibration" and it was of no help.
As I mentioned above I'm using TWRP recovery with X-Note NC2 as my ROM.
I don't know if it's battery problem or something else. I guess I have to wait for battery to deplete.

Have you tried cleaning the USB port with a needle or toothpic? (Make sure you do the tight space under the pins as well)

I did not recommend to use Battery calibration, I asked NOT to use it! In my case it was the problem, and I had to fully wipe my Note to get it fixed!

Sorry, my mistake. I thought you recommended it.
Anyway the phone's working fine again. I don't know what exactly fixed it but here is what I did for future reference.
I cleaned the USB socket with a toothpick.
I used Battery Calibration.
After that the phone started recharging and I let it go to 100%.
And finally rebooted.
One of the steps above fixed my problem.
Cheers and thanks to all.
The problem reappeared and it's even worse.
Now the USB connection's completely dead. No charging happens either!
The only reaction I get from connecting the cable is when the phone is off and it goes into charging mode.
After some more tampering I realized that if the battery percentage is more than a certain amount (somewhere between 50% - 80%) everything's fine but below that it gets messed up.
DUDE DELETE the Battery Calibration app and factory reset your phone after backing up all you apps, contacts etc.. then try phone for few days before restoring any non essential app if problem still persists after that take it to customer service.
I've been having an issue with my OnePlus 2 since I got it where sometimes it won't charge until I've rebooted the unit. It will not lose battery while plugged in and in this state but says not charging and shows the plugged in battery icon. Anyone else having this issue?
Yep, but I usually don't use the official cable/charger.
Yah, I am also facing this problem with my brand new OP2.
Yeah same issue with my handset. It would use the USB data connection and everything will work fine. But it won't charge, for which I require a reboot.
I called up their customer care and I was asked to clear the cache, which I did. Will post my observations further
I get this issue too. Hopefully it's a software issue that can be fixed on all opt. Are any of you on a custom rom or kernel?
I'm on stock rom with AK kernel.
clear cache
Getting this very annoying issue also. Its clearly software because, as mentioned, a reboot solves this.
Can you tell me what cache they asked you to clear? How did you actually do this?
Cheers
Noam M.
I received my phone yesterday, and charged it up to 100%. Today it refused to charge from my computer, and I had to plug it into the wall with the AC adapter to get it to charge. I will try a reboot next time and see if that works.
I'm running it 100% vanilla.
Me too - same issue.
Stock Cable always (others are still no delivered..)
also Stock Kernel + ROM (Oxygen 2.1.1)
I have the same issue: it charged when plugged into the AC adapter or an Anker, but wouldn't charge when connected to my MacBook. It still drew its power from the USB connection though, so it stayed at the same battery level. A reboot did not help. Using the rooted stock ROM (2.0.3).
Same issue here though I have only had this problem while charging via PC USB port. Charging from AC power adapter works fine every time.
I am on a 1 month old OnePlus 2 A2003 (European) with Android 5.1.1, kernel 3.10.49 and Oxygen OS 2.1.1.
Also encountering this problem – it appears that after the phone successfully charges to 100%, it needs to be rebooted before it enables charging from a USB port again. Charging using a wall charger seems to work at any time.
There's a discussion about this issue over on the OP forums. Just thought I'd cross-link the two.
I haven't received the 2.1.2 update yet; will post if it fixes the problem.
Well, so far it looks like the 2.1.2 update fixed the issue indeed, at least for me and one other poster over at the OP forum.
Try These :
1. reboot in bootloader mode. (switch off -> power button + vol. low)
Wipe Cache (if you wipe data your phone will be reset!)
It should work now!
2. Let your battery go to 0% and wait for 5 minutes, now plug it into charge, it should work properly now.
Do Thank! if it worked!
I get this error when I charge my phone
Unplug charger
There's an issue charging this device.
Unplug the power adapter , and take care as
the cable may be warm.
Even though I changed cable, I switched from cable to wireless I get this error. My device is kind of hot BUT whenever I charge my phone while it's powered off it isn't that warm at all. Any idea what could this possibly mean?
Possibly a Kernel issue. Or a system malfunction. Try using another Kernel, maybe TS Kernel or something.
If problem still persistent, flash another OS. Hope it's not hardware.

at first I didn't had that problem after some weeks it appeared to me.
