Hello everyone
I definitely want to understand how is it possible to activate vowifi ( and I think it will be the same for volte) one op5.
I Know that first your provider has to offer it and you have to enable with your provider. For me it's done ( Salt in Switzerland)
Then, it's up to your phone to be able to do it.
And finally the software part. It's where I don't understand anything.
I know that it can be setup on op5 but I don't know how.
Will it be easier with a custom Ron like resurrection remix for example?
Thanks for your light on it

Most likely your carrier enables it only for very specific devices.

I tried the same with swisscom but without luck.
As I understood in various post on xda, Volte and vowifi doesn't work in Switzerland (salt, sunrise or swisscom) for the oneplus phones even if you force the activation by editing the build.prop the Swiss profiles are still missing in the OP5 system files
You have to wait for oneplus to add the Swiss profiles in the next updates and the VoLTE option will finally work

Where do you think we can ask for it??
We need to wait for Oneplus to add the profiles for other providers...
This is the answer they gave the last time someone here asked the same :
"OnePlus 5 hardware circuit can totally support for VoLTE, but VoLTE service also needs carrier support. Now only followed carrier could support VoLTE service:
Completed VoLTE:
China: CMCC
UK: EE
US: TMO
India: RJIO
VoWiFi:
UK: EE
US: TMO
More and more carrier will support for VoLTE soon."
volte active in Turkey but carriers not support oneplus, xiaomi, asus etc. I activated volte service xiaomi mi 5 phone that adding volte files in qpst program. may be a developer find a way activate of op5

Hi,
I'm french and on a 6 days trip to Tokyo.
I cannot receive any network.
Can someone tell me if it's normal not to get anything or should I do something special to get a network ?
Thanks in advance
It -should- work...
Hm, it -ought- to work if you're using a hermes or other quadband phone...
not sure what the issue could be without more details, but you could try creating a new modem connection to Softbank:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298031&highlight=softbank+proxy
Not sure if this will interfere with any settings you've already got on there, however, and also not sure if/how you'll be charged.
If your phone is unlocked, I've been told by the Softbank stores in Meguro and Nakameguro that they will sell you a SIM card on a basic plan if you bring in your phone and let them test it with a Softbank SIM. I guess this wont help your net settings, however...

japan has a 3G(UMTS) network - the TyTN will work.
BUT, you need to check with your service provider that they have a roaming agreement with one of japans networks.
Once I read that Vodafone works but it's the only Italian carrier that has this option, so I guess elivne is right!

Hi everyone;
I really need help and input from you guys.
I bought Dual sim Edge with UAE firmware. I looked on the forums and there are recommendations but mostly from people in Europe so I am not 100% sure how would some of those firmwares perform on US networks.
I use T-Mobile as my main SIM and AT&T as secondary (with SD card mod)
Everything works fine but there is few things missing in OEM firmware. I would really like to get VoLTE, video calling on T-mobile and Samsung Pay working.
Are there any of you using same phone model that can recommend firmware that would address all these issues?
I do not mind re-flashing and deleting data if I can get what I am asking for.
Also can i flash 935U firmware on 935FD? I had it on my single sim Edge and it was great.

This thread is great for Samsung Pay. I'm in the US on T-Mobile, latest DBT firmware, SPay v2.2.02 and SPay Framework v2.4.02. Seems like some guys have it working with v2.3.00/v2.5.00. I'd love to get the latest version working for the online pay features....
VoLTE and T-Mo video calling.... eh, still haven't found a fix on that one yet. At least not one that also allows SPay. I remember a thread a while back where guys claimed success with VoLTE on the Czech T-Mo firmware, but I haven't tried it. WiFi calling would be nice, too. Until SPay is out in more countries, sounds like you have to pick and choose your features. Others here may have learned more since then, though.
Hello,
can someone please verify MobilPay/Smartpay on a ZTE Axon 7 (A2017G/B03 or B05) with the following App please?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=at.psa.app.bawag
Understanding german would help a lot
I have a NFC enabled SimCard but the App refuses to use it - it says that the SimCard cannot be read and/or is not NFC enabled.
But if i put the Sim in a Samsung S4 the App says everything is alright and i could activate my mobile cash dispenser card.
So i would like to know if my phone is broken or maybe the software parts are not working well.
It would be awesome if someone could find out more why this is not working. E.h. Android Version, Mipop, HW Design, Dual Simslot ... whatever
To install and just check if you are nfc ready you do not need a valid bank account for bawag psk.
The only thing you need is a NFC Simcard and a ZTE Axon7 A2017G.
Thanks a lot!
Best regards
sonypsx
My guess would be the phone doesn't support it.
That would be really sad!
Maybe some of the developers or ZTE Support could prove this?
As i understood there must be a wire directly from the NFC Chip to the SimCard.
So there are some more questions to answer:
.) is the OS including the modifications from ZTE supporting it
.) which Sim should equiped with NFC (Sim1 or Sim2)
.) is that needed hardwire in place
Best regards
sonypsx
Just installed the app and, from what I could understand, my NFC-SIM can't be detected.
I also tried Vodafone's Wallet app and it can't read Vodafone's NFC-SIM.
Oh well...
[email protected]
So it seems to be that it is not just my phone...
Maybe someone could bother ZTE with this?
It would be very interesting if someone with a alternative ROM could verify this functionality so we can figure out if its only the software or it is hardware related.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I live in The Netherlands where KPN also provides an NFC sim to work directly together with the Rabobank NFC payment app. This DOES work perfectly for me. When switching to the NFC sim to do mobile payments, the app indicated a separate NFC support tool needed to be installed (NFC Manager, from KPN Consulting). I also had to select a specific entry to pay with the NFC Sim in the Tap & Pay settings in the all settings menu. And finally, you need to have NFC enabled on your phone to allow it.
I previously had a Samsung Note 3 which was natively supported via its NFC, but the Axon actually works faster and better with the NFC Sim than my old Note 3. Quite happy with it.
I have the A2017G on B03.
I've reached Vodafone Spain about this subject and they got back with the following:
(...)we regret to inform you that your smartphone isn't certified to use with Vodafone Wallet, meaning you can only use it to access loyalty cards and store points.(...)

I won't bother with Vodafone Spain as I'm returning to my country in a month or so, but I will query Vodafone Portugal once I get a new NFC-SIM from them and will update this post asap.

Exactly, my guess is that some operators are still enabling the Axon 7 to their DB, as this model is new and unknown to most.
This sounds like a great solution for us without Android Pay support.
Im in the Netherlands as well. For use with the ABNAMRO wallet app there is no nfc enabled simcard needed. This phone does it out of the box with it's own nfc chip! Works like a charm!

I have a Axon7 with KPN NFC SIM but I can't get mine to work. I selected the Rabo Wallet for NFC SIM in Tap & Pay settings and enabled but the NFC manager app keeps saying 'device doesn't support NFC SIM'.
I am running LineageOS though, and have Chinese Axon7, so maybe that's why it's different.

Please see this comment for how I weirdly got WiFi Calling.
Hi guys, signal in my house is horrific - I've been trying to get WiFi calling for ages, and loved it when I was with EE.
I'm now on Voda and don't have it.
From what I've seen, it doesn't appear to be possible with an unbranded phone (why Voda!?) through any normal/configuration means.
I have the option to turn it on under settings -> applications -> phone -> wifi calling, and I've sent 'CALLING' to 97888, but only get the confirmation of the text, and nothing to confirm it's been set up. However, I don't get the little icon to signify that I'm using wifi calling.
Is there any way I can get wifi calling?
Does it require flashing?
If I'm going to have to root/flash anyway to get this feature, is there a way to do it one of the nice custom ROMs I see on this forum, but retain the vodafone branding?
Thanks all.
Easiest way is to flash a Vodafone firmware. Had to do the same to get EE WI-FI calling working. There is an option in unbranded firmware but activating it does nothing
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
Just flash latest Vodafone firmware that way you will not trip knox and you should get wifi calling
I suggest you check with your provider, if the unbranded phone was not bought from them.
Wifi calling may not be allowed because the imei is not registered to a vodafone branded phone.
They may have blocked the wifi calling feature.
Hey,
I've got the Google Pixel phone which I bought from Carphone Warehouse. Vodafone have told me that WiFi calling should work with it without any special firmware. I've tried using my SIM card in a friend's Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge which he bought from Carphone Warehouse and it worked! I too didn't get a text message from Vodafone when I texted 'CALLING', but WiFi calling is now active on the SIM card, albeit not the phone. Have been in discussion with Google who have escalated my problem to their technical people. Hope it can be resolved very quickly, otherwise returning the Pixel, which I don't want to do.
Thanks very much for the replies guys - I have something to report back to you all too. Unsure HOW this happened, but it happened... I somehow got WiFi Calling.
I'm scared to try do anything else like switch off my phone, because I don't want to lose my new WiFi Calling.
Here's what happened:
I have an EE iPhone 5s, locked to carrier. I'd recently requested an unlock from EE. It had been switched off, and was recently hard factory reset. Unsure of iOS version.
I put my Vodafone SIM in the iPhone today to see if it had been unlocked... it hadn't. SIM was in there for roughly 1 minute.
I put the SIM back into my S7E... started getting the usual texts from Vodafone about changing SIM, blah blah.
Somehow, I now have WiFi Calling on my unbranded S7E on Vodafone!
At no point did I switch off my S7E during SIM changing.
*NOTE* I'm not sure if something has changed recently, but I definitely did NOT see the WiFi Calling symbol before I did this:
I have no idea why/how and I can only speculate.
But... there we are!
Not sure if anyone else can try/vouch for this, as I realise it's a VERY particular set of circumstances, but I hope this helps someone!
Please do respond to me if you try this out and get it working... it'd be interesting to see if it works for others, and maybe figure out why it works.
Cheers!

I have been trying to figure out how to change to Canadian region. It was suggested to me that because I have the European rom on the phone, I cannot get wifi calling and volte calling. I cannot seem to find such a rom for the p10 plus dual sim.
Any suggestions?... Thanks in advance.
I was hoping when I received the update to PIE I would get VoLTE and wifi calling but still nope. I do not have the toggles to turn on for either function. My phone is not rooted.
I am on Freedom Mobile (and my wife's Samsung S8 works with it) but the techs say they cannot get it to work. I tried contacting Huawei and they said it is a carrier issue and the phone itself should work once the carrier sends the software. Freedom does not understand what that means.
Does anyone have VoLTE and/or wifi calling working on the VKY-29 p10 Plus? If so, how?

That doesn't make make me feel better ...
I know 2 people with Roger's who do have the toggles ... I am going to try and borrow my colleague's SIM and see if it will update my phone. If it does, hopefully when I put in my SIM after, it will still have the toggles visible.
I have it. I'm in south Africa. Working on multiple carriers here.

Well I borrowed a SIM but no luck. I had them call into to Roger's but was told since the phone was not purchased at Roger's store they would not send the carrier.
So far, Freedom will not send the patch. Roger's will not send the patch. It seems Bell (as posted above) doesn't support. I will have to try another carrier. I will post if I find one that will.
