Does the note 3 n9000 have the knox efuse?
I have been searching google for the past few days before my note 3 comes on the mail (7 business days, thanks expansys :| ).
Soo, because I really would like root without the knox counter being tripped, does the note 3 n9000 have the knox efuse?
Thanks all for your helpful replies.
Hopefully this thread will help others that have the same question find an answer as well.

The answer used to be "no. " But now, the short answer is "it's complicated."
The original firmware shipped with N3 N9000 has no KNOX counter. The newest firmware for N9000 DOES have KNOX counter. So, chances are your phone will not have the KNOX counter, unless you update the firmware.

confirm, after update from MI5 to MJ2 now I see Warranty Bit 1 in download mode...
This is a good thing then. To me it translates to: you can flash and root your phone, then if you wish, return it to factory setting by flashing back to the original rom.
Is my assumption correct, and can anyone confirm this?
Also, I'm assuming that the n9000 doesn't have a hardware knox bit then.

SERIOUSLY? NO this is a bad thing. Once you've updated to the new firmware with KNOX counter, you cannot go back. This is like how Apple won't allow you to downgrade firmwares. Once KNOX has you, it will never let you go. You'll be in the same predicament that SD800 users are in. Most indications are that Exynos doesn't have a hardware efuse. But, there is no current software solution and no indication of any in the near future.

Yes, it seems u're right but i found this german website:http://www.mobtivity.com/de/news/galaxy-note-3-update-auf-android-kitkat-mit-root-und-knox-0x0.html.
Anyone can explain what is this?
This link is an interesting read....
This douchbag tells us nothing about knox or even warns about it...
then says you can root 4.4.2 and it will Void your warrenty(by this he means knox 0x1)
he then goes on to saying you can reflash 4.4.2 without root to "get back your warrenty".
i guess he doesnt know that once its 0x1 it cant be reset...
or he knows something we dont..???

This is not new for me, i'm aware of this, I had a Samsung S4...when u are a flashmaniac u take risks... I sold my S4 with Knox 0x1. But i guess some people don't care about Knox when they want to flash custom roms. Anyway this Knox s**t is ridiculous. Samsung made a bad move and many samsung fans will never buy a samsung device anymore.

If your knox flag is 0x1, knox will never work again.

Hello all
There is a lot of old threads about disabling KNOX on S5 but none disabling app dont work, I've tested a lot of them . Do we have hope for reset KNOX to 0x0? Are there any news about it? My phone is SM-G900F
You can't reset KNOX 0x1 to 0x0
Galaxy S5 Tapatalk
I think it's possible because lots of people were replying for disabling apps made by xda devs, it was working but usually for galaxy note users.

as far as i know... you can't reset knox... but i think you can root g900F and still 0x0...
No, there's no way to reset the Knox Warranty Bit counter back to 0x0. The reason is that Samsung uses an eFuse that burns itself permanently when it detects that a unsigned kernel/bootloader/recovery is installed on the device. As a security measure, Knox is disabled forever on said device (and any data encrypted by it will not be any longer retrievable). That is to keep data secured from exploits and root.
Hope that explains everything!

Actually it is still an ongoing debate whether it is software or an efuse just my 2 cents
No
