[Q] NOTE 3 SM-N9005 KNOX warranty and Software Downgrade\Upgrade

Hi Guys .
i am planning to buy a Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 Snapdragon S800 Version but i have some questions .
First i dont care about warranty so i dont have any problem with KNOX Void Warranty 0×1.
i read that "It isn’t possible to downgrade to KNOX-disabled firmwares/bootloaders (An attempt sets 0×1) (even though some people state, downgrade is possible when omitting the bootloader file in a firmware package). By downgrading from KNOX-enabled to KNOX-disabled firmware, your devices will be locked to installation of newer firmwares."
and ". If you try to downgrade to KNOX-disabled system(MGA for example) your device will be flaged as KNOX Void Warranty 0×1 and will get a special lock – you won’t be able to update to any KNOX-enabled firmware even by ODIN. Samsung’s 4.3 update is KNOX-enabled, so if you tried to downgrade to KNOX-disabled firmware(for example MH8->MGA), you won’t be able to install 4.3 update."
so this mean if the The KNOX flag being tripped i wont be able to flash (install) any stock roms (newer builds) .

You can always upgarde no matter what knox warranty says
EDIT: all note 3 firmwares are knox enabled...
I think you took your qutes from a sgs4 forum, where android4.2 is NOT and andoid 4.3 is knox enabled

any body know if can i downgrade mt n900w8 to 4.3 from 4.4 telcel.. i cant find full firmware mj7 with pit file bl. everything.. another thing...today i open my phone just for curious and i see at&t words in the microphone and behind in the black cover says n900A but i try to flash full firmware of att and no work says pit file dont matches.. why is that?
Gentlemen official anouncemnti downgrade my phone from 4.4.2 to 4.3 mj4.. its possible. first time not boot.. but i flash again and it works..try it.

No Idea, won't hurt you to try downgrade though. At most you'll get a bootloop and reflashing KK will fix it.

Right now im running 4.3 mj4 and works fine. No bootloops ...after downgrade works fine..now i need to find the way of recover my efs file..nvram.nv bak..all those files are missing..no backup.ideas?

I have samsung s4 mini sgh-i257m disguised as gt-i9195 and my Knox is 0x1 sadly, im on 4.2.2 with knox and i am wondering if i can upgrade to 4.4.2 and go back to the same 4.2.2. Basically go back and forth (knox enabled to knox enabled) i want to try 4.4.2 but i want to make sure i can still go back

my question
they said the knox been updated from 1.0 to 2.0 in the new firmware nf1 and nf3 would these effect on the knox resetting processed i mean if i update my phone to nf3 or nf1 with the new knox 2.0 would the reseting still works ??
cuz i want to download the new costume rom and i want to be able to reset knox as well

Don't know where you get your information about resetting knox.
It must be one of many rumors floating around here... LOL
There is no such thing as resetting knox.

Galaxy Note 3 N9005 Root With Out Tripping Knox ?

Hi as the title says how do i root my Galaxy note 3 N9005 without tripping Knox ? Also i know i can use towel root but i heard if the kernel build is before 2nd June then towel-root will not trip Knox my kernel date is 25th June ?? Any suggestions plz knox must not get tripped plz.. Thanks people

No problem with Knox, allthough it intervenes when starting the SuperSU

It's not possible for your Knox flag to show 0x0 after flashing CF-Auto-Roo. As soon as you flash unsigned images to your Note 3, it'll trip knox and you may lose your warranty.

i mean i don't wont Knox counter tripped it has to stay on 0x0 after root access.. Also i heard if i flash roms after root that trips Knox count is there any truth to that ? Thanks

You're right it seems :silly:
However I don't find this very offensive, as I offcourse accepted the risk before rooting. Allthough, I wish I'd have read more about which bloat I shouldn't have removed... that damn MagazineHome.apk is really pain in the ass. After I deleted it, --> stock email FC every time new message comes... and what really sucks, I was unable to restore or install MyMagazine or MagazineHome.apk (with or without .odex) to get rid of this annoying crash messages.
Not sure yet why I was unable to reinstall those... is there different versions of them on Verizons Note 3 than in my galaxy note 3 n9005 ?
And one thing I havent yet learned is, whether the Knox is avoiding me from doing these restores or managing to reinstall those properly? (help anyone?! please )

Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F Knox 0x1 (3) ~HELP~

Hi guys I would like to ask what is the cause of this knox trip? I tried to root my SM-G900F using towelroot but it says that my phone isn't supported so I guess this won't be the reason why my knox becomes 0x1 (3). I didn't do anything on my Samsung S5 aside from downgrading to kitkat 4.4.2 ANI2 from Lolipop BOH4. Any idea or suggestions guys? If there would be no chance to turn it back to 0x0 then can you suggest to me a good and stable ROM for my Samsung S5 and rooting as well? Thanks and have a nice day.

For unknown reasons, Knox sometimes tripps 0x1 during update via Kies.
I've rooted my S5 via towelroot but on rom ANE2 - the problem can be you didn't install SuperSu and block Knox.
You can try SixPerience - this is one of my favourite rom.
Very good is OmegaROM, too, but don't try KtoonseZ Kernel - it damaged my GPS receiver :/

It's impossible to reset knox because of eFuse, but you can fix Private Mode

Impossible with n9005.....maybe with exynos....

But they said we should downgrade to kitkat first? So we can root it through Towelroot then the know will not tripped 0x1. Then flash lollipop firmware?

Teorically (and practically) detrip Knox is possible (there are many cases of people who went to Samsung and had their already 0x1 phones detripped without hw replacements. But unfortunately nobody know (or better, want to make know) how does it work. Soooooooo, your ****ed

You have to downgrade to Kit kat
Than Flash an special Kernel (dont know which)
After flashing the Kernel Wifi will Not work so be sure you have mobile data. Than download towelroot run it and flash Newer kernel.
Than you are rooted with Knox 0x0. Maybe you can try update from kit kat to lolipop with mobile odin. İ tried but Tripped Knox Unfortunately. So make sure you are always using Original samsung kernel and recovery ... (by mine was an ****ing kernel that Tripped knox)
