I need your help. I branded my father's 930 wind, product code 059W0X9, and I flashed the rom not brand white version. The phone works fine the only problem is that when my father turns on the hands-free microphone no longer works. Trying to figure out what the problem I saw was the phone's product code that my father's rom wind was a black version. I also saw that the firmware installed on the telescope is 02540.00019.15236.45005 and the hardware version is 2.0.0.2
I also point out that both phones are now up to date with the latest release of Windows 10 available and with modified registry keys to receive updates. Are both renamed in the 950 lumia.
Anyway i would like to know if:
1) Reflecting the rom not brand black I could solve the problem?
2) Also my girlfriend has the same phone though no brand but with firmware below 02540.00019.15053.26004 hardware version 2.0.0.0 and rom no brand black italian version and handsfree microphone is ok. Where can i find this firmware?
Thank you
sorry for my english

Hello
I noticed a very annoying bug at my phone: sometimes when I end a call the phone function stalls (the icon on the upper bar shows conversation in progress)
The only way to use the phone function again is to soft reset it. Lately I get the same problem but without the icon that shows conversation in progress. During this time all the incoming calls are not prompted. Basically on the caller side my phone "rings" but my phone doesn't even notice the incoming call. This prevents me from receiving very important calls that affect my business.
I cannot upgrade my ROM (1.14.479.3 ) since there is no official version for my region.
Any of you have this problem ? Shall I bring it to service ?
Please tell me your thoughts
SR
seems like a software issue, which region is your phone in? have you tried updating your software through HTC website?
For Romania there is no official version released. I cant upgrade ROM/Radio without losing my warranty.
i had the same problem after installed a hot fix from HTC, even hard reset and reinstall the ICR program the phone just lockup when I made a call. I can talk in that call but the whole phone just won't response to any keys or touch screen. After 2 days playing around with countless hard reset I decided to flash the same ROM from computer and the problem seems gone now.

Sure you can You are currently using a WWE ROM right? You can use USPL or HSPL to flash a newer official WWE ROM. In the event you need to return the phone just flash the original ROM (and SPL) back to your phone and they will never know. The original ROM you are running now is available on the Wiki, and here is a direct link. If you need help flashing ROM's you can read the guide in my signature and post questions in that thread
On a side note- I have had that issue before as well. It does seem like a bug in some software on the ROM as flashing different ROM's seems to make it go away (or reappear )
My phone's screen stopped responding few weeks ago and I brought it to service. They changed its front side with a brand new one (I am not sure if the screen only because I even get better audio quality during calls). I am telling you this just to underline that when I took it back from service the ROM was flashed again (same version though) because the menus used to be in English and now they are in Romanian. So if I am not mistaking my hard resets + services ROM flashing (into the same version though ) didn't fix this issue.
@Digital Outcast:
I am aware that I am able to use a newer ROM. I read the wiki and I know how to do it but if for some reason what I mentioned above (screen completely stopped responding and it was changed) happens while the new ROM is on the phone I will lose my warranty.
Since I opened this issue I changed the sim with a newer one. The old one was 7 years old...
Thank you for your feedback and for letting me know I am not the only phone owner having this annoying bug.
As stated by Tnyynt on another thread
Official updates go by as original ROM, they install without HardSPL if there is an update for your version of the device, so if you have an Official ROM which you have flashed, there's no need to worry for warranty.

Basically, any of the official rom updates for your device available on HTC or wiki can be flashed to your phone without HSPL or USPL and will not void warranty.
I tried with this one but when I insert my serial it says its not available for my region.
http://www.htc.com/www/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=179&act=sd&cat=2
Still I managed to download it using some serial I found on the web. But when I started the flashing process it says its not meant for my phone and aborted
Is your phone branded? Did you get it new? I ask because it doesn't look like it was a WWE device...
I bought it brand new from an online store. I didn't buy it from a provider like Vodafone or Orange.
One of my colleagues bought it from Vodafone few days ago and he has exactly the same ROM version as I have. None of us is able to download the previously mentioned ROM version from HTC website using the imei.
RUU_BlackStone_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.14.479.3_Radio _52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship is the ROM you currently have on your phone. There are no "official" updates for your particular CID.
Your real only current choice if you want to flash a newer HTC ROM would be to use USPL or HSPL and flash another official WWE ROM. You could always flash back the original if you needed to return the phone for warranty purposes. Sorry bud.
Thanks for summing it up for me.
PS: changing the sim with a newer one did not help, in case somone wants to do this.
Virgin mobile recently replaced my HTC HD2 handset as the screen had completely frozen (after 11 months into my contract) despite soft reset, hard reset, reset to factory default and rom upgrade.
However, the rom version of the replacement handset which is a re-conditioned handset (not brand new as they were out of stock) is only 1.66.351.1 whilst the rom version of my first phone had been upgraded to 3.14.405.2.
When i enter the serial no. of the replacement handset into the HTC website, it says that the rom upgrade is n't suitable for that device ?
Although using the original rom is n't really a problem, the voice / sound of the co-pilot application which i had bought and worked fine on my first phone does n't seem to work and the twiitter app (mo-tweets) which i used on my first phone also crashes after 10 seconds of use.
Apparently later roms are supposed to be more stable and less buggy ?
Has anyone else had this problem on the HTC website of serial no's not being suitable for their HD2 handset - someone suggested that i could use my old serial number but i was afraid that it my invalidate my warranty?
From the sounds of it (someone correct me if I'm wrong) your replacement phone is branded or possibly foreign, so the ROM you're trying to download isn't suitable.
I take it there's nothing in the apps list suggesting branding of any type?
You can either try downloading some of the branded ROMs to see if you can find one which works, that will tell you what brand it's locked to.
I'm on O2 for instance, and they've yet to release a 3.14 ROM so I can't download anything higher than the O2 1.72 ROM from HTC.
I have however got hold of the generic 3.14 ROM and use the goldcard technique to load it onto my handset.
it means the handset it locked to a specific network and not unbranded so thats why you cannot use the htc site to download
thanks to both of you for your replies. I had read that some providers (O2 and Vodafone) HD2's were locked but virgin HD2 were not, indeed my original HD2 allowed the latest rom (i've still got a copy of it on my laptop).
I just don't understand why Virgin have locked the replacement (maybe because it was re-conditioned and not brand new, or perhaps its because i only have 6 months left on the contract perhaps ?)
I've also read other people who used 'other people's' serial numbers to download the rom update's from the HTC website. So, when i asked HTC support if i was allowed to used rom update that i had previously downloaded, they initially replied yes, but when i mentioned that the serial no. of the replacement gave a 'un-suitable for your device' response they asked me to call them up (rather than respond in writing)
do anyone know if i attempted to install the latest (3.14) rom onto my replacement HD2 whether ;-
a. it will actually damage the phone ?
b. whether it invalidates the HTC warranty (as the 1 year warranty from virgin runs out this month - but the HTC warranty will run for another year - although i don't want to not use Co-pilot and mo-tweets for a year)
Hi everyone.
I want to ask this because I didn't find any clear and direct answer to this question (in the awfully long threads about this topic).
I don't own an Optimus 7 directly, I am talking about my girlfriend's phone.
Long ago I heard about the possibility of enabling Internet Sharing on LG E900 Optimus 7.
I already know that a particular driver or firmware update is required for it.
Today I managed to update the phone to Tango using Zune. Still I don't receive any LG firmware upgrade ...
These are the firmware numbers I read :
OS Version 7.10.8773.98
Firmware 1.1.2.10
Hardware 1.0.0.0
Radio 1.1.2.10
Hardware radio 0.3.5.0
Bootloader 1.5.1.0
My girlfriend wants Internet Sharing but she won't let me reset her phone. She doesn't want to lose any message or app or photo or video or information she stored so far.
So the question is :
is there ANY WAY to flash the driver, to flash the firmware, to flash what's needed into this phone to enable internet sharing without losing any data ?
I already enabled the Internet Sharing option using registry editor, but the driver is still missing. "There is a problem with the current settings" message appears when I try to enable it.
any dev could help me ? I wonder if the cab sender isn't enough to send this driver to the phone.
can somebody give me a clear answer except for "you must reset the phone" ?
Currently I am downloading the firmware 'LG-E900AT-00-V10g-222-10-SEP-29-2010+0_DZ'
Can I flash it without losing all the informations on the phone ? (the real question is : the firmware will reset the ROM too ?)
Waiting for your answer.
Have a nice day.

Good to you that you made update on 8773 on OPN firmware, but my opinion reason why you be luck to update on 8773 is because you do not have OPN firmware that bring Internet Sharing.
My Story:
Couple months ago, Zune SW pop-up with notification for new update, at the end my phone was able to act as access point.
To be able to do that on your phone, you will need 1.1.9.10, in between there two other firmware 1.1.4.10 & 1.1.6.10.
I am suspect that reason why I cannot update on 8112 and 8773 is this firmware.
Please if someone with 1.1.9.10 OPN firmware has same problem, please describe here.
Currently my firmware is LG-E900_V11i_Final-jan-27-2012-2250-7720, as I can see this firmware does not exist under stock ROM for Optimus 7. In any case bring ICS to LG Optimus 7.
Cheers.

Can you send me the cab updates for these firmware ?
And the most important question is :
what happens if I send the wrong cab to the phone ?
superbump !
hey
that is the reason of silly support for LG E900, no custom roms etc.
Because Users don't know what they have in own phones.
There is internet sharing since mango.
Serach in setting: internet acces!

You didn't really read all my topic, didn't you ??
What are you saying is wrong.
Tango didn't bring the internet sharing.
A firmware update that was not received by everyone bringed it.
The firmware update changes accordingly to the brand of the phone.
I forced the 'Internet Sharing' option to show up by using WinTT.
When I try to enable it as I already said a "There is a problem with the current settings" message appears.
The real question is still this :
I bought my Optimus 7 in France, and I discovered later that it was 'OPN' branded. I used it with Vodafone since the beginning. PHERAPS this is the reason I didn't get the firmware update.
So what happens if I try to manually flash the cab 'LG Optimus 7/E900 - OPN NEU branded 1.1.6.10 - November 7th 2011' over :
OS Version 7.10.8773.98
Firmware 1.1.2.10
Hardware 1.0.0.0
Radio 1.1.2.10
Hardware radio 0.3.5.0
Bootloader 1.5.1.0
???
Hey,
Same history for me but my Firmaware and Radio are different.
OS Version 7.10.8773.98
Firmware 1.0.4.10
Hardware 1.0.0.0
Radio 1.0.4.10
Hardware radio 0.3.5.0
Bootloader 1.5.1.0
Thanks and sorry for my english!
for what its worth, I know the german vodaphone branded rom has it, and its works great, for me its been enabled since i've had the device.
Guys, sorry about my ignorance............................
Does anyone REALLY knows if HTC Surround with SPL 4.3 and onwards are encrypted in a way you cannot re flash, no matter what ?
Background:
I bought 2 unlocked AT&T Surround from Jacksonville (USA, FL) with 3 months apart from eBay. They both arrived ok and originally had Mango 7 and with Zune both phones were upgraded to 7.5. Within months apart both phones failed. The first one I changed the Micro SD card and all went well.
The second phone failed 4 days ago in a little bit different manner. Used to turn on and of and I had to take the battery out. Then I changed the Micro SD card and lasted 4 hours. Then I changed, again, the SD card and same problem.
I then found this place (XDA developers.com) and read and read and read.
Just before I continue I like to list out what I have:
AT&T Surround fully unlocked. I use TELSTRA in Australia. Works like a charm ( so CID must be ok?).
OS Version 7.10.772068
Firmware Version 2250.21.40300.502
Hardware Revision Number 0003
Radio Software Version 5.69.09.05a_22.50.50.21H
Radio Hardware Version A.26.0.D4
Bootloader Version 4.3.2250.0(178976)
CHIP SOC Version 2.2.5.0
So based upon above and what I read and took the stance of downgrading to SPL 1.52 so I could use another ROM.
I used DFT and was successful to downgrade to SPL 1.52.
Since then there is no way to put any ROM of any kind and I suspect that my phone being 4.3; nothing is good.
Finally I had the opportunity to find a ROM quite new (in a Russian site) and managed to flash it. Gave me 100% success.
But the phone starts and beeps 7 times and that is it..........
Besides getting a hammer, what else can I do if anything.............. I have the funny feeling that I have f......... up the phone.
SPL 4.xx or 5xx cannot be made ??????
This is probably a model that was a dud from day number one. I wonder how long the other will hold.
If anyone knows, but really knows, would appreciate an answer. Sorry, I am a bit skeptical...........lots of people write and talk but I cannot make sense.
I need accuracy. Thanks in advanced !
PS: By the way every time I use a ROM update program, no matter which one is it (of the ones I could source) the previous version when running the wizard never appears. This is saying to me that there must be a protection in the EEPROM system. Why I cannot read the previous version and when I successfully flash it comes up and beeps seven times and dies there ?
Hi,
I am experiencing problems trying to use my SIM card in my yotaphone 2 (yd201) after I flashed new firmware onto it (when I bought it it was YD206 and it worked). I live in Slovakia and tried to use different sim cards and also I tried flashing different radio firmwares (EU, HK, CN, ... with android 4 and 5) but all i got every time I turned it on was only emergency calls message. I was unable to connect to a network manually nor automatically.
But heres the thing, I live in the UK as well and everything works well there (with my slovak SIM card).
So my questions are: What was the original YD206 firmware (I didnt note that before flashing yd201) was it HK? I will try to flash YD206 again to see if it works and then reflash with just leaving the radio firmware from the YD206 (whatever firmware that turns out to be).
And second, more thechnical question is: Does anyone now what could be the underlying issue here? The technological cause of the problem? Is it incompatibility of the radio firmwares to work with frequency bands of mobile signal in Slovakia? (unlikely since they seem to be largely the same standards as in UK)
Thanks to anyone who offers his opinion, I wouldnt like to have to throw an amazing smartphone just because the call function doesnt work
Regards
Stefan Rastocky
I thought HK was 201 and 206 CN
Are you positive the CN firmware has the same problem as the HK/EU/RU?
And reboot a few time after updating before considering failure" , when i've updated my 201 to 5.0 it took 2 reboots for the mobile network to "get going"
hi, thanks for your answer
Oh, thanks for the suggestion, I didnt think about rebooting. What I did was just to go to settings and try to register on a network. I will try the firmwares with rebooting tomorrow.
Should the combined EU-RU firmware (its radio part anyway) cover all the wireless signal bands in europe? In other words should I be fairly confident that if I install it, the problem, if any, will not be about radio band compatibility?
Thanks again for the reaction. I will let you know about what comes out of it.
By the way is this a forum about yotaphone 2? Since there is a yotaphone 1 picture and description on the title page.

there is no specific yatophone2 forum , I have a "real" 201 but AFAIK the 206 is CN (china) en you need to china drivers in a EU / RU firmware,
frequencies of both models: https://www.frequencycheck.com/compare-devices/qkjseR/yota-yotaphone-2-yd201/yota-yotaphone-2-yd206
(cannot be changed AFAIK by any firmware update)

Hi, thank you for the answer. According to the last url you provided I should be able to use a network here. FIY:
https : / / www . frequencycheck . com / compatibility / Zlrtl0 / yota-yotaphone-2-yd201 / slovakia
But I am just not. I have also run out of different radio firmwares to try, so I dont really know what to do now.
Could it be that the phone is somehow locked from connecting to the networks?
Thanks
