lag, freeze, restart after 6.0.1

hey guys, today i bought a used NOTE 4 for my mother, and when i checked the version it was 6.0.1...so i wiped everything and restarted the phone to get the best performance....but the phone lags and freezes a lot, especially in the camera, and it keep restarting all the time....what should i do? should i try to flash another FW through ODIN?
You mean you used the Factory reset option? That's not a full wipe, just resetting stuffs. And yes, you know the answer, wipe everything from a custom recovery, then flash stock MM ROM (always latest) via Odin. Earlier versions did have a reboot problem though, and lags here and there, but that's expected, but the last release, PE1, has got rid of all those problems, its a very good release already, and I am sure upcoming releases will only make it better. There are no major bugs at all, I don't even find any minor bugs except the need for a separate app to clear default apps selection.
Best of luck.

the phone is stock, it has the stock recovery, and i have the PE1 version, the exact name is "MMB29M.N910FXXU1DPE1"...and still got a lot of lag, freeze and rebooting.....is there another version?
EDIT: ok, so i flashed another MM through odin ( first time it gave me a fail) and then done a factory reset, now it's so much better, maybe not as smooth as my S6 but really fast and smooth enough...thanks for the help
EDIT: today the phone started to shutdown completly....not reboot....and you need to press the power button 10 seconds to reboot it or turn it on...is there any advice?
Guys . Ib tead the whole thread over last few day had wake lovk runnimg last couple weeks. Lastnight used kies for reset and it crashed half way.
I then used odin 307 and went back to stock 501
It booted strarted to restore from google apps ect .

All apps running aok no crashing freezing no wakelock .. its asking for another 601 update. Im gonna hold back
Hope this helps .. will post agian in gew days with any updates

Just download and install Wake Lock from Google Play Store. I had the same problem and more. Once I installed Wake Lock (on a fresh install from Android 5 up to all the 6.0..1 builds) phone doesn't shut off or freeze. Most importantly no more Boot Loops..

please help 3 RMA's and counting

hello i just got my 6p back from RMA today for the 3rd time , battery would not go 2 hours and microphone wouldn't work for calls, 1st 2 RMA they send me the phone back exactly as i sent it with glass screen protector still on ,they did nothing but update from MM to N to N 7.1 and then i have more issues than before where it shuts down with 20 30% remaining
i got it back today ,it was on 7.1.2 ,i tried to enter my google account , phone boots but play store will not install apps and phone hangs for 4 hours at installing apps , i shut it down but when i reboot it it says "system update in progress"
it was already on 7.1.2 , so what update?once before i sent it back for RMA and they told me don't worry that we updated it to 7.1 but it is a different version than normal OTA 7.1 that does not have the bootloop /battery issues
so is this phone trying to update to normal 7.1.2 and not the custom huawei 7.1.2 version? is it going to overwrite the different 7.1.2 version? is there any way to stop it from updating ?
why would it update i didn't select update i just shut it down after signign into my google account it singed in i got a notification on my other devices but it would not install my apps and froze at installing apps
i would like to boot it without updating is it too late? and is it bad to install the update? won't it overwrite fixed version? i take it nobody ever got to the bottom of the bootloop of death issue yet ?
long story short, got RMA phone back ,phone froze on setup , i shut it down ,then it prompted for a system update , but the phone was already on 7.1.2, i checked it before i shut it down
i want to know if this is because huawei installed a modified version of 7.1.2 and this is trying to overwrite it
i did not go to OTA i did not get any prompts for update so i do not know why i get installing update when i power on now, but i do not think it is a good idea so can i cancel this update or is it too late?
the last time i RMA'd my phone before this time they updated it to 7.1.1 and i asked about the boot loop issues with 7.1 and they told me not to worry that it reads 7.1.1 but that it is really a modified version of 7.0
so now i assume that this is a modified version of 7.1.2 that they installed on it when they sent it back and that the phone is somehow trying to update to the normal version for some reason

OnePlus 5 Bootloop - flashed stock OOS Nougat but wifi doesn't work

Hi, I was using my phone on 5.0.4 I believe (either that or 5.0.2) and then an app crashed unexpectedly, so I restarted my phone. While restarting it never got past the red dot with white circle animation, so I did a factory reset through the stock recovery and that didn't work either. I then did all kinds of stuff I found from other forums and finally flashed the stock 4.5.14 Nougat OOS from another thread using the MSM downloader tool, which let me start up the phone past the bootloop. However, the Wifi doesn't turn on at all, and every time I try to use any version of OOS beyond Nougat it bootloops again. I tried installing a few custom ROMs and they bootloop as well. What can I do? I would like to fix the Wifi on my nougat version of OOS, as a first priority, but if I can somehow fix the bootlooping issue on Oreo OOS then I'm sure the wifi will be fixed as a side-effect.
I also tried a bunch of things to fix the wifi, including deleting modemst files (didn't work) and flashing modem firmware which ended up causing the animation bootloop again. Please help!

Major issue after installing a custom rom (unable to unbrick)

Hi guys , how are you all doing
Anyway I have been dealing with this problem with my mi a1 for almost 2 weeks now , it is started when I decided to test a custom rom after running my device in stock for a year , so I flashed it with liquid remix , following the instructions , it is not that hard I done itso many times with my previous phones , unblocked the phone , start twrp with fastboot , clean flash , reboot , and here it's starts bootlooping non stop , I read some solutions in the internet , did a factory rest , nothing happened , anyway got tired of the whole situation , decided to come back stock again , again very simple with fastboot , finished and I am getting bootloops again, tried other roms , see problem , but one room worked , the stock 9 beta via twrp worked only this one
I really wish to get back to the normal non beta stock.
Hopefully I will get some help here
Thanks
