Does LTE work in Tmobs or VZW is US? - ZTE Nubia Z17 Questions & Answers

Just curious about signal. I just got a OP5 which I am returning and need a new phone. This looks like a good replacement if it works in US. Thanks!!

From the phone specs these are the working bands:
2G: GSM B2/B3/B5/B8; CDMA BC0
3G: WCDMA B1/B2/B5/B8; TD-SCDMA B34/B39
4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B20, TDD-LTE B34/B38/B39/B40/B41
It's fully compatible with most of the European countries. You could check if they are supported by your mobile carrier in the States.
The trouble is that there's no International/Global ROM yet and, therefore, no support for the Google services framework. I'm also interested in this phone, since the OP5 was a deception. But until an international ROM arrives and developer support is confirmed, I'm holding.

Missing band 2 fro T-MOBILE.
Thought about it as well. But it says you can't get Google play store.
Band 2 is not used having in my area. So this phone would work for me .

Looks like it will work on Verizon all though no LTE band. I would love to try it. Hopefully international version is released soon!

HSPA+ on GT-N7000. T-Mobile refarming?

It may be a miracle. I was using the International Samsung Galaxy Note and was only receiving edge on T-Mobile. I learned why this was and hoped it would change. About three nights ago exactly I was trying to use my data which was edge which did not work at all. I was not sure why. Then the following night I was at a dinner party in Cougar Mountain Drive which is in the Bellevue area. All of a sudden I turned on my data and guess what I saw. A big H+ staring me back in the face. I was so overjoyed I could not even begin to explain. But alas, I could not longer see the H+ when I returned home in the Seattle Area. Is T-Mobile finally refarming? We can all hope can't we? What do you guys think?
Probably Tmo rolling out 4G in select areas.
You can always apply the Tmo radio to get 4G

that's only with the at&t version. I believe OP was referring to T-mobile expanding their network bands to the ones used by at&t

That's awesome advice....not. Are you trying to get him to brick his phone?
This is an N7000.
T-Mobile has been working on standing up the 1900 frequency, which is the same band AT&T uses, and the band included in all international phones. They have been using AWS which is the 1700 band. This is why all new-ish T-mobile phones are pentaband. You must have been in an area that they already converted over. It is supposed to be complete sometime in 2013.
I have a similar story. While visiting in Concord, CA. Downtown where the Old Spaghetti Factory is: I was able to get HSPA+ on my Infuse i997. Looking forward to the refarm taking place all over the usual spots.

Yes. That's my dream is to ruin other devices. Its already been successfully done with the AT&T Note. Do some research.

:| You didn't bother reading the rest of the thread did you? It can only be done on the ATT note because ATT was preparing for their merge wit T-mobile. "Do some research."
Its the same reason that the Skyfire can be flashed to t-mobile.
Post it on airportal.de because it is the only way to track it besides HowardForums.

It's okay to be ignorant but no need for remarks like that. International note and at&t are different.

I now understand its not those models. It was my fault for not realizing. People on this forum are so quick to pounce on someone's mistake. His comment wasn't necessary and neither was mine. Simple.

I understand that T-mobile has re-farmed 1900 MHz for 3G service in the Boston, MA area.
Is this service available to T-Mobile pre-paid PAYG customers? On the $3/day plan?
Is there any requirement for a GBA SIM? Or any newer SIM?
Are there any specialized APN settings?
Any specialized phone settings? "Force" WCDMA 1900 MHz only from the Service Menu?
I have an international un-locked Samsung Galaxy S II (I9100), and a 7 year old T-Mobile pre-paid SIM.
I have been able to use GSM data (2G: GPRS/EDGE) as recently as July, 2012.
My visits are brief so I use the $2/day plan but would like to be able to use 3G.
current reports,
no specific deals with TMO regarding network sharing,
i'd doubt AT&T will lend the networks without a fair price

That entirely depends on where you are or what market you're in. T-Mo is in the process of moving all their HSPA+ service from the 1700MHZ band over to the 1900MHZ band in order to make way for its future LTE services. Most markets are still on 1700. If you're in one of those markets still, then the Int'l Note 2's HSPA+ will not work (because it does not support 1700MHZ HSPA+). On the other hand, if you're one of the lucky ones in a new 1900MHZ T-Mo service area, then you're all set to go!

Can't u wait a week for one from Tmo that'll work with all their hspa+ networks and future proof for lte with actual warranty for the same price? Heck you waited this long already what's another week for lte and warranty?
I'd wait personally. The T-Mobile one should have LTE too so you can take advantage of that once they start firing up those networks.

It does, you will just have to be rooted and flash either an older radio or a hybrid radio to use LTE

Oh you lucky devil. LTE Advanced is the next step beyond LTE. It's called True 4G because LTE technically isn't 4G. There are very few places and carriers that use LTE Advanced today because it's so new. Anyway, the Nexus 4 won't be able to use LTE Advanced because it doesn't have the proper hardware. In fact, I've only heard of one major phone that has the hardware, a special GS4 that Samsung released in markets that could use it. I'm sure there are others, but that's all I've heard.
If I may ask, where do you live? I'm just curious as to where they're rolling out LTE Advanced.

I come from the tiny little island called "Malta" in the heart of the med. I suppose for the first time in history were actually technologically advanced. Vodafone just announced it this morning and I got in-contact with someone who works there. Shame nobody will be able to benefit from it immediately
Sorry I don't think Vodafone use Band 4. You might want to wait for the announcement of the Nexus 5. There is some rumor it will support all the LTE bands, though its unconfirmed.
You can see the list of LTE bands here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks

[Q] Best model for my use in Canada and India

Hey I need some expert advice on which model of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to purchase.
What frequencies I require:
UMTS networks:
-Wind Mobile Canada: AWS Band IV(1700)
-Airtel India: Band I (2100)
LTE networks:
-Airtel India: Currently using TDD Band 40 (2300) but only in select cities; will be replaced by nationwide deployment in 2015 which will use FDD Band 3 (1800)
-Wind Mobile Canada: Currently does not have LTE, but I presume it will use FDD Band Band IV (1700) when deployed, however as they are yet to purchase adequate spectrum, this could be different.
All input appreciated, thank you.
Neither. Get a note 2

The N910U model looks like it might be good but it's still too soon to say for certain.
Take a look at the specs at: http://www.samsung.com/nz/consumer/mobile-phone/smartphone/smartphone/SM-N910UZWENZC
Thanks, but unfortunately it lacks band IV UMTS, which my carrier in Canada uses.

SM-G920F in Canada (Koodo)

Hi, I'm having bad signal reception with this phone with Koodo, is it compatible with the bands in Canada?
Thank you!
I don't believe the F variant has the AWS band, which is used in Canada. You can try switching to 3G only, see if that helps.

Today I got 4G most of the day, the cellular reception is bad thought compared to my Nexus 5. Most of the time, even at the center of the city, I usually get only 1 bar of signal.
I bought it from the Amazon Prime sale, I can return it if anything's wrong.
Try disabling LTE then.

If it's any Samsung, the W8 models are what you want.
