Was there any newer battery drivers for the Sprint Touch? - Touch CDMA General

So I picked up one of these to have a nice, small PDA that ran WM6 and I've wanted to have more than the 10% increments that stock provides.
I've tried a few drivers that I think no2chem had, but either they only reported 0% or that they did not support the AC Adapter. Wasn't sure if there was anyone else who managed to get it working.

Wizard won't charge after attempted jump start

I've tried searching for a solution to this but I can't seem to find anyone who's had this problem.
Basically, I got a new battery, tried the jump start method mentioned in other threads and had no luck with it. When I put my normal battery back in, my wizard refuses to charge.
I don't mean as in it wont charge due to the battery being dead and windows mobile not loading, I mean as in windows mobile is running fine, the wizard's showing the "plugged in" icon as if it's recognizing the charger but the battery simply isn't charging.
The amber LED flashes as opposed to being constant (which I read about in other threads and tried the solution with no luck) while the charger's plugged in but all that's looking like to me is that it's recognized the charger.
It wont charge via usb either, and the charger I'm using is the official one which came with it.
I'd be hugely greatful if anyone could offer a solution.

Somethign new i noticed [battery]

tonight i flashed a WP7 rom downloaded apps and what not. the battery meter seemed to be on par with what BatteryTools was saying.
Now her is what i noticed. When the phone was plugged in to the the wall the indicator light would flash green and orange, but whne its plugged into usb it stays lit up orange.
I was wondering is it receiving to much voltage? the phone can handle the power input, but how about the OS it self. i mean like the way it registers the voltage it is receiving?
jsut my input to see if we can get this fixed.
Btw a full batter would register anywhere from 4200 to 4500 in battery tools under battery voltage.
i am also going to try a brand new battery directly from HTC when it gets here, to see how that does.

Its also possible tha the driver could be having a moment and is refusing to charge the battery forwhat ever reason, because we dont know exactly how this driver works its unlikely we will ever have that fixed.

Voltage? USB has a 5v regulated supply as does a USB adaptor except its unregulated so plus or minus ~10%
all phones that use a USB connection have a 5V supply, and i think it very unlikely that MS would make a OS that cant handle the power, im not even to sure what you mean by that since its all done with hardware, the driver only dictates how full the battery is and at what point to cut off the charge, which as i have pointed out many many times, the driver ISNT for our device so there will be some odd happenings.
as for the current that doesnt make any difference, just alters how long it will charge i think what your seeing could be a faulty powersupply its also not beyond the reason of doubt that your power supply is dirty in to your home, meaning the voltage from the adaptor is also dirty which may fluctuate the output voltage

[Q] Problem charging Thinkpad Tablet

I have a weird probably Software Problem charging my Thinkpad tablet. It is running the latest OTA Firmware 0089_WE, and I struggle with the following behaviour lately (it once charged completely without any issues). I only have the micro-usb charger, to juice the tablet. As long as the Display is switched on, it shows the charging symbol, and the red charging light is on - but if I leave the tablet alone, the display will switch off, and also the charging light - the tablet is no longer charged. Anyone have a clue, what I might have done wrong?
I have also had charging problems since the ota2 update.
Same problem - tablet not charging when in sleep mode
Thought that I had done something wrong but since others are experiencing it, then suppose it's not just me.
What I have done so far:
1. Used the standard charger
2. Used a Samsung charger
3. Used a blackberry playbook charger
When I had first connected the device, selected the charge only option, as it was connected to the standard charger, didn't think to have the sync option enabled. Maybe that would make a difference but doubt it.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone had any luck with finding a solution? Mine seems to be better but not like it was with honeycomb.

Call Lenovo Support. This is a design flaw in the MicroUSB Charging Port. They will repair.

Is this a hardware repair, or a firmware/software repair?
I ask because I only just started experiencing this problem after installing CM-10 this week.
I also found some issues when charging the Thinkpad Tablet.
In my case the workaround was to get a Thinkpad Tablet dock, which uses the dock port to charge it. It used to charge it very fast and reliable compared to Micro USB. Sadly my TPT is now bricked and I can not test it anymore.
Some other guys (gotta check the thread) even created a connector cable from the dock port to the Thinkpad Adapter. It was very cool, but it is not being sold, only to build it yourself.
Regards
Martin
I just got my TPT in the mail, and it's running Honeycomb (according to the eBay description.) I've got it hooked up to charge right now, but I don't see a red charging LED like you guys mentioned. Where is that LED?

Strange charging issue with all windows phone roms

Hi guys I have been facing a strange issue whenever I install any windows phone 7 rom no matter what i do the phone refuses to charge using a usb cable or charger if i go back to android same usb and charger work fine for charging please advise
i noticed that too. on my pc it charges either VERY slow or not at all. because i left my hd2 on usb for 2 hours. it was only halfway full. i though i was going crazy good thing im not the only one who noticed this.
on the wall adapter it charges fine.
For me the above mentioned issue exists on all the roms
I think i found a workaround for people having issues while usb charging on wp7
This a bit of a hassle and has to be done everytime u see that the phone is not charging via usb
uninstall the driver for windows phone device from device manager and then connect the phone it will reinstall the driver and the led will turn red if it blinks that means its not charging
If anyone has this issue and needs detailed steps please let me know

I have never heard nor experienced the phone not charging on WP7 on USB. The HD2 takes longer than 2 hours for a full charge if it's at a point of total discharge or close to it. Even on WM 6.5 the HD2 usually takes about 3-4 hrs to fully charge after near total discharge.
Secondly, a blinking LED during charge (whether PC or wall) means your battery and phone are overheated. Overheating happens if you are using the phone while plugged in. Even if blinking it is still charging. Best to unplug until cool..then keep charging and not use the phone.
Buy a second battery and external charger.

Wow thanks a ton for the info
but i have a question if i connect the phone to usb the battery blinks and while connected the battery tool shows battery getting drained as well at the top the battery icon shows that the phone is charging. and then if I immeadeatly connect it to the wall charger the blinking goes away and battery tool shows charging active so what can be the issue any help would be appreciated
Also i have tried almost all windows phone 7 roms and my normal drain is -300 to -500 have tried rom with 5.51 and 5.12.50_02 radio as well along with the camera trick still the battery drain is high
Yesterday i installed wm6.5
task 29
install magldr
clear sd mbr
use last 24 nand
install wp7
booted and did camera trick
entered flight mode
still the drain is -150
I love WP7 and dont wish to go back to android sorry for the long post please help
WP on our Leo doesn't have a clue what its doing with the battery, its been an issue from the start.
best bet to get the most out of your device is to get yourself an external charger and spare battery.
even if you do get it charging via USB or the wall adaptor, it might not charge up the device, it might say its full but is only half full, or it might say it half full and its actually full.
UP! Your advice to bring with me to anywhere a package of batteries?? Jesus Christ, I can't believe that nobody cares much about this problem from devs, otherwise there is no point to make a new rom every single day.

I really don't think its a "nobody cares" situation. We can be pretty confident that if a solution was at all possible it would have been found and implemented by now. The devs do a great job and i for one am blown away by the roms they produce and offer to to us free.
Every smart phone on the market has battery life issues which tells us even the manufacturers cant really get a grip on the issue either.
You could always hack a li poly bat to fit the HD2, of course that's only if you accept the risk it might swell up and catch fire while charging
i dont think kicking the devs and other forum members will make you many freinds.
Good luck

its not about not caring, there are two issues at hand.
the first one is the phone wont charge when turned off, this might be fixable.
the big one is the battery controller, a battery in a phone has a small IC that controls the charge, temps, stats etc. The issue I believe is that the driver which WP users to control the battery controller isn't designed for our device.
The HD2 is similar to the HD7 but it is not the same. The issues we have with it are likely because the driver is either for another device or a basic test driver put together to "make do"
creating a driver isn't a matter of slapping a few files together. So your choices are to
A, give up on the HD2 WP7
B, Make do with what you have
C, Grab a spare battery and external charger
D, Fix the issue yourself, given that some of the most talented folk on here hasn't done this yet suggests this wont be easy!
Flashed 2.12 radio, can't say it's good now, but much better than was with 2.15. I think 2.12 + new battery with bigger capacity (2300) = pretty good solution for now.

except your 2300mAh battery probably wont work at all.
Theres been reported issues with extended batteries either A not working or B having issues, such as only charging part of it.

If your phone shows only a half charged battery icon after charging for the full few hours, shutdown the phone and reboot. Doing this shows the correct icon and can confirm via battery status app or battery tool app.
The thing is when you flash a new ROM, it takes the battery, phone, and WP a couple of charge/discharge cycles to get sync'd up and show the proper charges. The key is to let the battery drain until close to total discharge (don't let the phone shut off because of battery or you'll be hosed) then charge a couple of cycles.
Getting a spare battery and external charger is always a good suggestion no matter what.
Yes, restarts are always handy to get full charge, if you do kill your battery so you can't boot to windows, try put phone in bootloader, or magldr, it will charge in there, give it 20 min and windows will boot just fine

Battery current input problems

Hello,
I used to charge my phone with the charger that came with the phone. After installing a custom ROM, the charger wouldn't work anymore and using Ampere, the maximum input was 400 mA.
The problems with this are:
-charging takes 5+ hours
-Unable to use powerbanks (for unknown reasons)
How could I fix this? Could I change the maximum current input?
Thankyou :fingers-crossed:
Go back to stock firmware or try another custom rom.
I have tried flashing the firmware ROM using Odin, and still had the problem.
Same here. Installing a different ROM seems to fix it, but only temporarily
Replace phones usb port. This will also you will find be temporary as in 6 months ± period last pin will be fried again (at least it whose for me). Option B go for 1.5 (2) A charger & a same capable cable it will rise to 550+ mAh... Why does it happen... Who knows... A bord voltage regular design flows bad setup probably.
Same here please if anyone know the fix tell us
