Dear friend ota will not work if you root your phone. Unroot your first then try ota. If you still encounter problems. Do you a full flash of your rom either via kies or odin

Hi,can u tell me full steps how 2 unroot it(galaxy grand 2) as i am new 2 android
If you have backup of the stock unrooted rom provided by the manufacturer. Just do a restore via recovery. If not download the stock firware (unrooted original version) and flash it via kies. Your Samsung will be back to normal factory mode with unrooted. Rooting the phone will lead loss of warranty too dude. Hope you know this.
Thanks will be appreciated.

Hello,
something went wrong, the update is interrupted, now trying again ..
Odin returns a message:There is no PIT partition.
If someone is doing a backup, I`d be grateful for .PIT file
Thanks in advance

Hello everyone,
I found a solution for my problem on: nikatel.ir/galaxy-grand-2-g7102 (use google translator, helped me to follow the instructions).
Now everything is ok,
Ankit991 you try, it is also the solution to your question about unrooting.
best regards

Hey. So I've got a newly rooted S5 here (Exynos version). And I was wondering now that OTA updates won't function (rooted), how to get those updates ? And the consequences, Do I lose root after updating ? Can it harm the phone or anythn ?
Thanks in Advance
You've to go back to Stock firmware..
Then you'll able to receive OTA updates..

I understand. But apart from the OTA updates on the phone, There is Kies. But I'm not sure about the consequences and all.
If you update via kies you will loose your root but im not sure kies will let you update with a rooted rom.
Never used kies cause its trash

Nope, I've done it once and lost nothing, was pretty quick and straight forward actually, even kept my current settings.

Are you rooted? I am and I have it installed, just use FlasFire all if you are rooted, easy.

It's a fantastic app created by Chainfire. Basically enables root users for example without recovery can flash ROMs,Kernels, xposed, software updates etc all through it.

Basically yes, Odin on your phone! I've updated to latest firmware via it last night. Just download the latest firmware, extract and save the AP file to phone. Then go to FlashFire and chose Firmware Package, hey presto!

Interesting! Did it do a wipe or anything? Would I need to reinstall Viper and xposed after flashing the latest firmware using this?

So you have all options required to do what you need within the all such as wipe etc. If flashing any firmware, yes you'll have to reflash xposed. The great thing about the app is that you can put it in a queue to do it all at once so wipe, flash new firmware, flash xposed, done.

Staying stock right now as I'm sure the new update will be here in the uk within the month

So I can also decide not to wipe and then just have it re-flash xposed after the upgrade?

Worked for me just now. Thanks again!
Anyone on this latest version noticed a performance increase? Phone seems more solid and responsive (not that it wasn't already) and games apear to have lost the lag.

Probably a daft question but where can I find a definitive UK update? I've seen a few links on XDA but the information is muddied based on international variations. I'm currently rooted and running xposed v81. I also have FlashFire, which I used to flash the latest xposed. Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks for the link, much appreciated.
On a related note I have an EE EVR build, could I switch to BTU or would that create issues for my device? I ask because the BTU firmware is more up to date than the EE.
I was wondering if ever we got a huge and nice update in the near future, is it possible to update your device via the OTA Software update even though your device is rooted?
If so, how?
A link to an existing thread would be appreciated too. Thanks!
