Hay guys!
im tired of trying anything for making my moto g4 running in GSM.
So im thinking in replacing the mother board of another G4 (xt1601)
but the question ....
do you think that method actually could work?
can the mother board of another similar phone could match phisically in this case from xt1601 to xt1609?
Thanks guys!

Yes, I believe it would. No guarantees though. Might be more cost effective to pickup up a refurb or gently used G4P of your choosing.

If I buy a sprint LCD with digitizer, will I be able to use it with my ATT version? I am trying to replace my screen and bezel since they are damaged.
If I buy the Sprint version, will a ATT sim work? I am thinking about bidding on this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-gal...ts_Tools&hash=item20d4064998&autorefresh=true
Let me know quick!
Anyone??
Only have 20 min to make a decision on whether or not to bid on this. Can anyone please help?
Someone hasn't responded because,
1) they haven't seen this thread.
2) nobody knows.
3) nobody has needed to replace theirs.
If you do buy it. Come back and let us know if it worked or not.

you probably could have found the answers doing some searching... but as with 99% of all other phones the AT&T SIM will not really work in the Sprint phone. You should be able to replace the screens between phones, but your best bet would be to find S4 teardowns of AT&T and Sprint phones online and see if the screens are the same. I would suspect the screen and body are the same, but the logic board and chips are different.
In order to find the answer, someone has to be the first to do it... that someone may be you, my friend.
Hi everyone! I have a bit of a dilemma.
I bought two AT&T S4's from a seller on eBay. One for my Mom, and one for me. Now, the listing says that the phones are guaranteed to have a clean ESN and IMEI, are activation ready, and all that good stuff! So I get the phones yesterday and check both IMEI numbers and they check out. I went a step further to see if I could get them unlocked, because hey, why not? No dice. One phone's service contract hasn't been completed, and the other phone's Next payment plan hasn't been paid off. So I'm sitting here like . . . . okay, so will they both eventually get blacklisted? I sent the seller an e-mail about it. I could care less about unlocking the phone, but I do care about having the IMEI blacklisted some day out of the blue and not being able to use the phone, but that's another story for another day.
If the seller gives me some push back and things don't work out, I was thinking about switching the motherboard's out. I know another i337 motherboard would work just fine, but what about an M919 motherboard. Are they interchangeable? Just wanted to know! Thanks

Looking at both of them, I don't see any differences that should prevent it from working. The only thing I'm aware of that prevents some mobo's from working is the frame on the screen and the screen's cable. The connection for the cable is in different places and the frames differ slightly so they don't fit other mobo's (learned that when i had to fix my screen) but the I337 and M919 screens appear to be the same. Beyond just fitting in there and connecting, dunno.

It'll fit right in, it's the exact same board.

Thank you both for responding! This info is good to know I'll probably end up getting the M919 mother board if need be
Hey guys I just changed the logic board on my G2 because I broke one of my sim reader pins. The person I bought the new G2 from said it was unlocked but after changing the boards over I get 'Network Locked' or 'Invalid Card' and when i try to click data from the notification bar it says 'No Sim Card'. Anyone have any ideas?
Hate to break it to you but it looks like the unlocked phone is associated with the original motherboard/logic board.
All of the telephone components are affixed to that board. (EFS data, IMEI etc)
You're going to have to unlock this new board as well.
Essentially, when you change your motherboard to a new one you basically have a new phone and have to start all over. (new IMEI, EFS data etc)
Good thing the G2 unlock fees are much cheaper than say a Sprint iphone 5S

Can I swap motherboard from real s7 edge to demo unit, will phone calls etc... work?
I don't know, but I am going to attempt it.
Hi all,
I am going to attempt to replace the motherboard in a Galaxy S7 G930X (demo model without cellular radios), with a motherboard from a G930P (sprint model) that has a broken screen and LCD, but boots and has a clean IMEI number.
I have searched this forum to see if anyone else has done a cross-swap like this, but have found no answers except one failed attempt back in January 2017, and the guy was going to try again with a different motherboard -- but didn't update the thread to let us know how it worked out.
I'd really like to hear from others if they have had any issues doing motherboard swaps between carriers on the S7s. I understand that the hardware is about the same between the S7 and the S7 Edge, but I am not brave enough to attempt that swap.... Besides, I think there is special software to do special "edge" things that probably would mess things up in a plain S7....
Thanks in advance,
Philip
P.S. I will update this and the January 2017 thread with my results once I get the phones in hand and the replacement glass battery cover that I ordered from China. So be patient -- it may take a while for it all to get here....

Well, my first attempt didn't work out the way I had hoped.
Rather than post the results on multiple threads, here's a link to a new thread I started that documents the whole saga: starting with the reason I attempted this, the research done, the models purchased, the actual results from the attempt that documents what is different between the LDUs and their fully functional counterparts and the difficulties encountered, the alternative swap that was performed successfully, and some parting thoughts.
Here's the title and link to the post:
"Swap a good donor motherboard into a G930X LDU (Live Display Unit)? VERY HARD."

I hope it is helpful,

Hi
I have an LG G6 and unfortunately i missed the chance to unlock bootloader. I have bought it in 2018 and still using it, the battery is near the end of life. I am not going to buy a new phone because its still OK for me, i am just replacing the battery soon.
So it came to my mind i might ask here if somebody has his phone with unlocked bootloader with good circuit board and any other part is damaged so he wont be able to use it anymore in the future and is not spending any more money on obtaining spare parts. For example you have damaged display and you wont replace it and you are going to throw it away anyway.
Is there anybody out there who would be willing to gift his circuit board and send to me? I am not mentioning sale because i think its against the forum rules.
I would really appreciate somebody
Thank you
