LCD Replacement REAL QUICK HELP PLEASE!!!! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

If I buy a sprint LCD with digitizer, will I be able to use it with my ATT version? I am trying to replace my screen and bezel since they are damaged.
If I buy the Sprint version, will a ATT sim work? I am thinking about bidding on this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-gal...ts_Tools&hash=item20d4064998&autorefresh=true
Let me know quick!

Anyone??

Only have 20 min to make a decision on whether or not to bid on this. Can anyone please help?

Someone hasn't responded because,
1) they haven't seen this thread.
2) nobody knows.
3) nobody has needed to replace theirs.
If you do buy it. Come back and let us know if it worked or not.

you probably could have found the answers doing some searching... but as with 99% of all other phones the AT&T SIM will not really work in the Sprint phone. You should be able to replace the screens between phones, but your best bet would be to find S4 teardowns of AT&T and Sprint phones online and see if the screens are the same. I would suspect the screen and body are the same, but the logic board and chips are different.

In order to find the answer, someone has to be the first to do it... that someone may be you, my friend.

If you are a DIY'r, you can search eBay for "Tmobile HD2 Display". It won't be cheap, but it will be a sight cheaper than a new phone.
If you don't know the difference between a Terminator and a T-2, you should probably check your local yellowpages for a phone repair service. It will be slightly more expensive than doing it yourself.
When you say you are the "second user", I hope this means you got the phone legitimately. If so, this means that you can contact HTC's official repair department. They don't care if your 3rd Uncle's Roommate gave you the phone, so long as the phone's ID number isn't listed as stolen. This is the most expensive option, but it guarantees you the best possible repair.
G'luck!
Less then $10.00, you may have to ask him if he has the exact one.

Thank you for every reply. Dummy phone will work maybe for case, not for LCD/digitizer.
As concern ebay, no one [ebay, or online shops] is selling LCD or digitizers for TMo version, which is incompatible with European version.
So is there any other way how to buy an LCD except contacting HTC directly?
PS sure I have that phone legally ;], I bought from person that didn’t know anything about WiMo phones and was very disappointed [im to and im using wimo for 4years ;] ].
Here is a Link Google is your Very Best Friend

Again and again and again. EU version parts doesn’t fit TMobile HD2 !!
This link is for HD2Eu version – you can tell by that flex cable which it totally different to flex cable on HD2 Tmo version
PS I wouldn’t start new thread if you would be able to buy EU parts and repair TMo version with it.

Looking for a replacement digitizer.

Doesnt look like cnn.cn stocks any parts yet. Anyone else find any stores carrying replacement parts.
Here's a site but the only problem is that you have to buy a minimum of 3 in order to get one globaldirectparts.com/T-mobile-MyTouch-3G-Slide-Digitizer-p/htc739590.htm but like me I need one too so who knows maybe we can get more of us to break our screens and we can all chip in.

Well, you guys are 2. Buy 3 and you can probably pawn one off on ebay.
I have spoke to globaldirectparts and right now the digitizers ship from china, also seemed very helpfull. But I got one from ebay which is shipping from Cal.
Have to say globaldirectparts have some great prices, but I needed it quicker then china shipping.
Now if i can only find a disassembly video or procedure...
Well if you find a way to disassemble it and get it back together without cracking
the lcd then please post as this could help everyone here who might need to
replace the digitizer at some point plus it would just be a bonus to see how it's
done.
I replaced the digitizer last night only to find out the new one does not work, so I'm back to the cracked one again.. ;(
GadgetFix is going to send me another one and do have to say they have great customer support!
See my disassembly post at.

Let me know asap as I want to fix my phone right away.
Thanks.

Screen/Digitizer Replacement for SM-G530AZ (Cricket Grand Prime) ??

Just got a Grand Prime from Cricket. Unfortunately broke the screen not even 20 minutes after getting it. FML. Anyway, the phone still works with absolutely no problems, I'm just stuck staring through the cracks in the glass.
Tried to find a replacement for it, but none of the ones I've found say they are compatible with the G530AZ. And every time I ask the seller I get no response. So I'm just wondering if anyone can help me out by pointing me in the right direction or letting me know if you know whether other model screens are compatible with mine.
Thanks a lot.

Can't remember to have seen this for sell.
You can look up on Amazon or Ebay.
Good luck!
they are all the same. Cost about $10 on ebay. They fit perfectly, I have changed lots of them. Just buy the g530h, or g530 digitizer.
But the lcd frame/bezel is 80% different. Will not fit!!

Sprint to Verizon (motherboard swap?)

Question In summary:
Has anyone swapped their Verizon motherboard to a sprint model or vise versa and got it to work?
In detail:
Ok so, got my Verizon note 4 wet few weeks back. Didn't realize how wet it got and started it back up too soon, worked fine for about 5 min and then the screen shorted out. After completely drying it still boots, still freaks out from all the messages etc pooring in from it being off, was also able to access from my computer to pull off data.
I was able to locate a mint condition sprint version for a reasonable price, my theory is that I can simply swap my mobo from the old phone to the new sprint one and be good to go. I tore it apart last night and soaked it in rubbing alcohol to clean off any remaining deposits,I'm trying to source a sonic cleaner to do a better job if possible.
Any reason this won't work? Any possibility I could damage the good screen with a bad mobo from the Verizon? Anything else you can think of that I haven't addressed? I suppose I could sell the sprint version and fund an actual Verizon replacement from the sale but if this will work...
bump, looks like i might be the guinea pig...

Why not just get the Sprint phone, unlock it, and just use it on Verizon????
You'll be buying a mint condition phone anyway. Why tear it apart when you can use it on Verizon if unlocked?

I was under the impression that sprint and Verizon run different tech for their networks. If they don't, or if the phone has the hardware to use either, then yes, I'd much prefer to unlock it and go that route. If anyone can confirm that'd be great. I had done a bit of googling on that earlier but everything I found basically said they were not compatible.

Ok, I just researched it and found 2 things:
1) Verizon won't activate any device not bought from Verizon. (According to a forum)
2) Sprint and Verizon use different IMEI types, so one carrier's phone won't work on the other's network.
So I guess you can't actually just use the new phone.
This now brings up the question of how swapping the mobo will affect the IMEI. If using a Sprint mobo will make the phone now have a Sprint IMEI, then you won't be able to get the fixed phone to register on the Verizon network. And, Verizon may not register the device anyway.
