If you are a DIY'r, you can search eBay for "Tmobile HD2 Display". It won't be cheap, but it will be a sight cheaper than a new phone.
If you don't know the difference between a Terminator and a T-2, you should probably check your local yellowpages for a phone repair service. It will be slightly more expensive than doing it yourself.
When you say you are the "second user", I hope this means you got the phone legitimately. If so, this means that you can contact HTC's official repair department. They don't care if your 3rd Uncle's Roommate gave you the phone, so long as the phone's ID number isn't listed as stolen. This is the most expensive option, but it guarantees you the best possible repair.
G'luck!
Less then $10.00, you may have to ask him if he has the exact one.

Thank you for every reply. Dummy phone will work maybe for case, not for LCD/digitizer.
As concern ebay, no one [ebay, or online shops] is selling LCD or digitizers for TMo version, which is incompatible with European version.
So is there any other way how to buy an LCD except contacting HTC directly?
PS sure I have that phone legally ;], I bought from person that didn’t know anything about WiMo phones and was very disappointed [im to and im using wimo for 4years ;] ].
Here is a Link Google is your Very Best Friend

Again and again and again. EU version parts doesn’t fit TMobile HD2 !!
This link is for HD2Eu version – you can tell by that flex cable which it totally different to flex cable on HD2 Tmo version
PS I wouldn’t start new thread if you would be able to buy EU parts and repair TMo version with it.

May want to look here first... http://www.phonegg.com/compare/12/HTC-Touch-vs-HTC-P3450.html
Your P3050 from Telus is the Vogue(CDMA) while the P3450 is known as the ELF(GSM)
Where the digitizer may be concerned they may be the same, but the phones are completely different while a search on EBay for "P3050 digitizer" came up with 12 hits for the item your seeking
basically, if you have to ask "do you think it will work?" you probably are better off not trying and getting the hardware that fits rather than spending cash on something that may or may not work unable to get a refund and having to spend more to get the right item to start with...
Im assuming your asking this as you already attempted to go to the Telus location near you and dealing with them and or your insurance ( you DO have insurance on delicate electronic equipment that has a high degree of gravimetric interface issues (aka gets dropped and broke easy) LOL

No it won't work... They both use different D-pads
the one you would want would be here

That's a very good price. Jump on it if you need it. When I was looking for them a couple of months ago I couldn't find one for less than $50. Of course, that price included a case that I didn't need...
About that ebay link
Ironically, I JUST bought that same digitizer from that same ebay seller this week, and installed it last night. I have an HTC Touch from Sprint, but this new digitizer worked perfectly. Right fit, easy to connect. Took 4 days to get the item from the time I bought it. Couldn't recommend them more.

I don't know what Telus' warranty is, but I suggest getting a replacement.
Hi all!
I managed to crack the digitizer of my HD2 some while back. It's working but I'd like to have it replaced, and I really think I'll screw it up if I try it myself. However, the official HTC repair service here in Norway wants the equivalent of 370€ to do it, and most unofficial ones are only slightly under that price.
I'm wondering if you know of any reliable repair services elsewhere in Europe would be cheaper, and in that case, which ones?
I've seen digitizers & glass being sold online, but they say it's pretty hard to separete from the LCD.
There are also complete sets of displays for hd2, LCD+digitizer+glass going for around 85$ or more.

Indeed, but I want to avoid replacing it myself, just not at any price.
quick consideration: I bought my hd2, second hand, for 440€ in february. Up to a 200€ expense for repairs (lower than which I think it would be really hard to find anything) I would seriously consider buying ANOTHER hd2 which now, being almost august, maybe can be found for less than 350€. I am not following the market.
At thjat point you could sell yours as defective for 200€ and still have paied 150€, lower than repairs
Thanks for the tip, that's not a bad idea at all..
However these guys says they'll fix it for 150£, so I think I'll just take a vacation in London and pay them a visit while I'm at it.

Someone on ebay has an HD2 for sale for a good price that he claimed insurance on. I was thinking of buying it. Does anyone know if it'll work if I buy it?
Thnx for help =D

my mystic ball tells me that he claimed insurance on it for a reason....
i would ask for the imei # & then call htc to see if it has any warranty still on it. if it does you could buy it & hope that what ever is wrong with it will be covered under the warranty but you might be buying a very expensive paper weight. I bought mine on ebay & made sure it was still under warranty before buying it & then shipped it out to htc for repair. they replaced my phone & shipped it back 2 me 4 free. i only had to pay for the shipping there.
His description says he only did it to get another phone and that its gauranteed working. But I'm wondering if T-Mobile would care about that and block your phone?
my only concern would be it having a bad esn which shouldnt be likely since he said he did the swap himself. normally that happens when you try 2 sell a stolen phone. i would call t-mobile with the esn# to see if its bad or not.
anytime you do an exchange through t-mobile you have 2 mail back the phone thats not working or you will get a huge restocking fee = to the phones price unless it was an upgrade which i think you then can keep your old phone.
I would check the completed auctions on ebay, its on the left hand side of the page. price what the htc hd2 has sold for & then if you can get it for cheaper then the average price i would go ahead & buy it. if you cant get it working on t-mobiles network then you can always resell it on ebay & since you did your homework on how much you can expect 2 sell it 4 you wont be out any/a lot of money. i wouldnt think that it would be an issue but i also wouldnt want to give you info on something im not 100% on, best bet would be to call.
I didn't know ESN's applied to phones that use sim cards.
So if the ESN is bad then it might not work and it would just be a paper weight?
Would applying a new OS such as android fix this at all and is the ESN changeable?
Thanks for the info guys, esp htccraze
As I was writing that I was wondering it myself. Lol. I looked online at a few places and your right, t-mobile is not affected by bad esn #'s. I was with verizon till just last year so thats where I was gathering my info from, so I'm really sorry about that.
It seems as though everything should be fine then. Like I said, if you can get a good deal on it & think you'd be able to resell it around the price you paid then there wouldnt be as much risk because you'll be able to get your money back if for whatever reason you no longer like/want the phone. I don't like 2 tell ppl what they should do with they're hard earned money but as a pt seller on eBay myself I feel that papal/ebay buyer protection would have you covered if something was listed wrong or if it dont live up to the description he put in his listing.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
cakinlife there are 2 options you can do. 1) As htccraze said yes you might want to call htc if it is still cover under warranty. 2) The HTC HD2 could be use under another network if the phone is unlcoked.
I would be suprised if there was no sting in the tail here
Insurance is not used just to get a new phone (most insurance phones are refurbs anyway) and the only reason it would be replaced without being sent in for repair/exchange would be if its reported lost/stolen, then the owner got it back (or it was not lost anyway)
Dodgy to say the least
If the IMEI is blacklisted, you need to provide proof of ownersip to unlock it (if you are not the original owner) in the UK that is
IMEI for the phone
IMSI for the SIM
Thanks everyone for the tips, I ended up losing the auction lol (price got too high) but now I know =D
Really appreciate all the help
My screen has malfunctioned and Samsung won't help because I bought the phone from Germany. I'm at the other side of the world.
I'm planning to buy a new screen but I have no idea how to replace it.
Any instructions, please?
here i found tattoo guide to do that on mine
http://translate.google.co.uk/trans...zborka/htc_tattoo/&sl=ru&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
hope it helps
Why?
Why HTC Tatoo? It's an old phone so they shouldn't be similarly built. How about the old Omnia? I've run across many guides for that phone. If you plan to do yours, I suggest you check the old Omnia guides first.

Yes, you can follow the manual,07-GT-I8700-Direy-6.pdf, to replace the screen.
That would do. Thank you very much.
just remember to pay attention, the screen is glued to the body at a certain point.

i was simply suggesting a website which collects phone repair guides
Will Samsung UK repair the phone if its from Germany?
If so, you can send it to me, I'll have it sent to Samsung and then send it back to you when Samsung return it?? Of course you will have to pay me for the postage but I think thats a given lol

They do. At least the Samsung repair centre in Birmingham. Just dont bother mentioning that its from Germany.
Updates..
When I contacted them I did mention it was from Germany, that's why they refused to repair it. But if you say they can repair it anyway, even if it's out of warranty, then I guess I could give it a shot.
I asked both Samsung UK and Germany for a replacement screen. They didn't have it. So I'm stuck with the most probably fake one on eBay from Hong Kong.
Of course that would cost a lot less than sending it to and back from UK, repairing it, and paying customs.
I'm really confused. What would you guys do if you were me?
Sell it on ebay and buy a new device...
Hello guys , my phone is getting freezed after some time of using (45 min) , the Tech's said that this is overheating of the motherboard
So any idea from where can i get new one?
Thanks in advance...
Sent from my HD2
You can find them usually on Ebay and Amazon. I would use what ever search provider (Google, Bing, Yahoo etc..) to do a search for "HTC HD2 motherboard". Pick out a site that has good site reviews if possible as well as good prices. A quick search yeilded dozens of sites that sold HD2 motherboards.
can somebody help me for my HD2?

Are you saying you dropped the phone and now since its been dropped you have very slow load times?
Is you phone rooted with a custom sense rom?
Do you still have a warranty on the phone?
no the rom version is official and my phone warranty expired
So you noticed it after you dropped it?
Have you tried to turn off your phone and turn it back on? I know that seems kind of stupid but it does fix some small problems from time to time.
Sorry to say but there wouldn't be much you could do for it that i know of. The very best advice i could give you would be to open your own thread about your problem and put this infomation in there. This thread is about motherboards so you wont get as much help as of you opened your own. This way a lot more people will see this and with the more people that see's it maybe someone comes across it and has had that problem before and can offer a solution if one.
Thanks for your advice.
i will open a new topic.

I'm not so sure. I can't find any myself, but it maybe a firewall problem or something. What I find is typically they are "Motherboard Flex Cable Ribbon". Can't find "motherboard" only. I've contacted some sites, but they say no motherboard/main board at all.
If you have come up with a "motherboard" only (at a reasonable price), please provide link. That would be very helpful as I'm after one as well.
You can find a HD2 from Amazon or Ebay that has a cracked screen or something along those lines thats still working and get the motherboard off that phone. when i did a search earlier i seen two sites but i'm unable to find them now. one site you had to be signed in so you might need an account but i'll try and find the other and report back.
Guys please provide me a link if you find a motherboard , i found one on
Gadgetsaving & Ebay
but i am afraid that when i get them i get another problem with them so please any advice ?
Thanks in advance...
$120 seems pretty high. As i said above, you can find a used model off ebay thats still working for the same price. Then you would have more parts you can use off that phone.
You really need to know what your doing during the install process though so if you dont, send it out to someone that does. I seen a phone with a cracked screen but that was
100% working order sell on ebay for $55 just yesterday. Plus if you have problems with the motherboard/phone you do buy off ebay you can always ask to return it. If they
wont accept a return you can then file a claim through ebay stating the phone/motherboard wasn't as described to have ebay force the seller to refund you the money once
you return it. In some cases you can even get a return shipping label emailed to you so you wont be charged the shipping back to the seller.
