HD2 Motherboard - HD2 General

Hello guys , my phone is getting freezed after some time of using (45 min) , the Tech's said that this is overheating of the motherboard
So any idea from where can i get new one?
Thanks in advance...
Sent from my HD2

You can find them usually on Ebay and Amazon. I would use what ever search provider (Google, Bing, Yahoo etc..) to do a search for "HTC HD2 motherboard". Pick out a site that has good site reviews if possible as well as good prices. A quick search yeilded dozens of sites that sold HD2 motherboards.

can somebody help me for my HD2?

for example, it will take 10 minutes for boot from power on until sense completly load.

Are you saying you dropped the phone and now since its been dropped you have very slow load times?
Is you phone rooted with a custom sense rom?
Do you still have a warranty on the phone?

no the rom version is official and my phone warranty expired

So you noticed it after you dropped it?
Have you tried to turn off your phone and turn it back on? I know that seems kind of stupid but it does fix some small problems from time to time.
Sorry to say but there wouldn't be much you could do for it that i know of. The very best advice i could give you would be to open your own thread about your problem and put this infomation in there. This thread is about motherboards so you wont get as much help as of you opened your own. This way a lot more people will see this and with the more people that see's it maybe someone comes across it and has had that problem before and can offer a solution if one.

Thanks for your advice.
i will open a new topic.

I'm not so sure. I can't find any myself, but it maybe a firewall problem or something. What I find is typically they are "Motherboard Flex Cable Ribbon". Can't find "motherboard" only. I've contacted some sites, but they say no motherboard/main board at all.
If you have come up with a "motherboard" only (at a reasonable price), please provide link. That would be very helpful as I'm after one as well.

You can find a HD2 from Amazon or Ebay that has a cracked screen or something along those lines thats still working and get the motherboard off that phone. when i did a search earlier i seen two sites but i'm unable to find them now. one site you had to be signed in so you might need an account but i'll try and find the other and report back.

Guys please provide me a link if you find a motherboard , i found one on
Gadgetsaving & Ebay
but i am afraid that when i get them i get another problem with them so please any advice ?
Thanks in advance...

$120 seems pretty high. As i said above, you can find a used model off ebay thats still working for the same price. Then you would have more parts you can use off that phone.
You really need to know what your doing during the install process though so if you dont, send it out to someone that does. I seen a phone with a cracked screen but that was
100% working order sell on ebay for $55 just yesterday. Plus if you have problems with the motherboard/phone you do buy off ebay you can always ask to return it. If they
wont accept a return you can then file a claim through ebay stating the phone/motherboard wasn't as described to have ebay force the seller to refund you the money once
you return it. In some cases you can even get a return shipping label emailed to you so you wont be charged the shipping back to the seller.

Been doing lots of ebaying lately, and ive seen a few. Not sure, but I spent most of my time in an ebay store called cheebay (from a guy named che-sir i think)... (btw, the 2400mah battery and cover for $17 us are awesome). Check there.....
hummm i had a couple of probs with ebay, so i guess that's not a option right now, i know that not all sellers are scammers and stuff like that, but... no way i'm gonna trust ebay right now, i'd prefer on some store or something like that.
thanks anyway
Have you tried www.pocketpctechs.com ?
thank you, they have touch screens

Hi,
I bought an MDA Pro at eBay and it took me two weeks to get it.
I never tried to win an auction of a "refurbished" one, if the seller wrote that he "never turned it on".
If I have a broken device and get a refurbished one in exchange, why wouldn't I turn the exchanged device on and test it?
My advice to you:
1) Rewrite your text.
2) Limit your auction to EU and write in big letters that you do not ship to Africa, specially to Nigeria, due to all the scammers. This way they probably won't waste time with you.
3) Test your device. Take pictures of it when turned on. Explain all eventual faults, like scratches.
If you give a good description and if you test your device, you will certainly get serious bidders.
Cheers,
vma
Yeah saying you have never turned it on just looks suspicious. You gotta turn it on, try it out, make sure it works, and take working photos of it. Otherwise you will have a hard time selling it. I wouldn't buy based on what you've said.
Cheers, Mitchell
thanks....i have now switched it on and it works fine. your recomendations are greatly appreciated.
Good luck with your sale!

Someone on this forum scammed me with a broken phone on ebay. What should I do?

I received the phone today and when I powered it on the screen was locked and wouldn't let me unlock it. When I would press the volume button it would prompt me to press "Cancel" and then "Unlock" but the screen was completely unresponsive. I did a hard reset and once it got to the calibrate screen it won't do anything at all. Completely unresponsive to touch.
The Seller assures me that it worked and they did a hard reset before shipping it.
It looks like the phone has been opened because the screw with the VOID sticker on has been tampered with and one of the screws is missing the head. It has to be someone on here because it has SPL-1.56.OliNex and a cooked 6.1 ROM. The phone was insured for the shipping and they offered to help with repair costs
"I suggest you could go to the local repair shop to see what is wrong with it.
Another way is to contact those guys:
http://www.drcellphone.com/shop/home.php?cat=580
And if they can repair it for reasonable price, I will refund you for repair price."
What do you guys suggest I do about this?
I found the person on the Forum who sold me the phone
I did a search and found the seller on here. I checked his past posts and he was having problems with the screen not responding. I don't know what to do, it seems as if I was scammed by someone here = (
Should I ask for a partial refund that would bring the transaction cost down to what Blackstones are going for that need the LCD and Digitizer replaced?

Name the user so we can publicly berate them on this forum....I hate fckers that do this sort of crap......sure it was going, thats why it had been opened....probably been flashed a gazillion times also.
Nothing but a full refund and apology would satisfy me, if they don't want to do the honorable thing, get in contact with ebay and ask them what your options are, which is probably very little apart from leaving bad feedback....but they may be able to suggest something.

That was his comment back when I sent him a message through ebay about it not working. This was his first reply back "I'm not sure what is happening here. I just did hard reset before I sent it to you to clean any personal info and I was able to go into regular calibration screen.
It may be damaged during shipment, although I packed it well"
and "I do not know either. It was working device when I sent it. You can file post office damage claim, I insured this phone for the whole amount of $430." He probably insured it because he knew it didn't work and would count on me using the insurance and not thinking that I would find him on here. Should I really demand a full refund or partial? What do others think. I am pretty irritated ! !
If you paid by paypal, just go through the procedure to claim the money back and send the device back to them, as it's obviously been incorrectly described or missold. If you didnt pay by paypal, you're screwed, unless the person selling it is decent. But it sounds like they lied in the first place chances of that are slim to none, and you will probably have to sort the device out yourself. On another note, $430 seems quite a lot. That's HD2 money here (but then it could just be the UK/US exchange rate that's making it seem high). If they have already lied about the device once, chances are they'll never pay for any repairs (which you will have to do yourself if it's been voided), even if they say they will.
For future reference, make sure any pictures of a device you are bidding on, on ebay, shows the screen on and working. I'd say this was a basic requirement for people putting phones on there. At least that's what I do when I sell them. Good luck.

Yeah, It's the exchange rate messing with ya. The HD2 goes for $700 USD
This is the latest from him
"Dan,
I had this issue with the phone and sent it to HTC for diagnostics. It has been completely fixed and I used it till now.
The phone I sold you was in working condition. There was no reason for me to put non-working phone on eBay, because whoever buys it will definitely and immediately see that it is not working phone.
If you want to proceed with refund, please follow PayPal dispute procedure on paypal.com. Once I receive the phone back with all accessories I'll issue you full refund for original transaction amount."
A PITA, but at least you get your money back hopefully.
Slightly off topic, but is the going price for a used but in good and pretty conditions Touch HD really about US$430 at that side of the Atlantic. That would come to € 320 if I am not mistaken. I would probably consider selling mine for that amount.

Well, I just bought this one now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260583496466
Others that I have watched go for around $300-$450 depending all what is combined in the auction and if it is unlocked or already have HSPL done.

Yes, ****ty quality but you get the idea, very cracked.
Been using it for a few months now and everything works fine but I'm pretty sick of people going, "OH MY GOD WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR PHONE" etc.
If you need any more info just ask.
I've seen a few threads about it but never followed them to the end, you have 4 options as far as im aware
1- Send it to HTC but be prepared for a hefty charge and a long time without a phone
2- Search the net for phone repair specialists which is still quite costly
3- Ebay for a damaged or display model and take it apart
4- Live with it.
Use the search function and type "cracked" or "screen" and you wil find several threads, hopefully you will find your answer.

repair parts seems to be back in EU: i had to wait 3 months and eventually paid 250€, same price as for iPhone glass...
had I known it would have taken so long, I would have bought a new phone...

Faulty F2 Pro BuyBuyBox stolen by scammer

Hi, I want to do my best to report what happened. I wanted the Poco F2 Pro 256GB version and found one online at BuyBuyBox, who have an online store as well as an eBay store.
I bought the phone back in July 2020 and it started having issues like a warning about overheating at the start. After a week it started working ok and I left it and didn't decide to return it.
But soon after it had issues with the fingerprint sensor and would just not power on or the screen would go black and have to be rebooted constantly.
It stopped detecting the fingerprint sensor altogether.
I tried various ROMs and options, but believe it was a hardware fault.
I contacted BuyBuyBox via eBay where I got it. I was somewhat reluctant to return it as it was outside the 30 day period on eBay. The seller said to return it and they'd repair it and send it back.
I thought that sounds ok, they had a decent eBay rating (somehow I'm not sure).
I sent the phone back as it was unusable as it was. Once it arrived they said they would look at it. Since that time, they won't respond to any messages.
I sent eBay an email to complain about the seller being a scammer and eBay have been hopeless also at even doing anything at all.
I paid over $800 for the phone, so have lost $800.
If anyone knows of a way to help it would be appreciated. I know it's a risk to buy from overseas online, but liked the specs of the F2 Pro.
I did find some reviews since then of BuyBuyBox and it seems a common trick they do. They get customers to return devices, then never respond or return them. Which is just a bit of a shock to me, as I'm always honest and help people out, to deal with absolute lying scammers is not something I'm used to.
My suggestion do not ever use BuyBuyBox if the device you buy works you might be ok, but if you have to return it, then just don't do it as it will be gone for good.

Have tried that and isn't possible to do anything with either PayPal or eBay as PayPal say it's not eligible and eBay aren't any help either.

If you paid with PayPal everything is eligible. ( Up to 90 days, sometimes more )
Open a charge back thru PayPal and explain the situation in the ticket ( i also suggest to convert it right away to a claim )
They will need to reply to PayPal else you automatically win the claim
