Did you look at any of the other half-dozen Q&A threads on the exact same issue here, and dozens on similar Moto devices?
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
Will take care of it... BTW, this is an indication you flashed stock and didn't follow all the steps properly.

Thank you for solving my problem, and sorry for not using search tool, I forgot about that.
Actually yes I returned to stock after serveral times of trying to flash official Flyme but even after I managed to flash the ROM it was still booting fastboot.
thank you again.

Ok first let me start by saying im sorry if this is in the wrong thread or a repeat. Ok so heres the issue, I had my phone rooted and had a custom rom on it. I downloaded a animation and boot screen and installed them. I had to reboot my phone, when done so it was stuck on the new boot screen for a long time. I tried turning off and on several times each with the same results. So i went into my recovery screen and wiped the the system and and did a factory reset. Im on twrp recovery. I rebooted my phone and it tells me no OS. I have no back up now and dont know what to do. Ive tried using the toolkit to go back to stock but it wont let me saying it cant extract the files. Does anyone have any ideas what to do please? I can get into fastboot mode, download mode and recovery but thats it! Please please please help lol!!!

this is exactly why people need to learn adb commands and push commands. you are not bricked. you wiped your system you should have just did a factory reset. as far as the tool kit not extracting I don't know what that's about. stop relying on tool kits. they make things easy yes. but it takes the learning curve away
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312
If you can get into fastboot you are NOT bricked.
Read up on how to manually flash files in fastboot.
I got it, thanks guys!

Can only boot into locked bootloader after installing twrp, stuck in a boot loop.

Hello guys,
I'm in a very frustrating situation. After hours of research i finally post this because i couldn't find anything that helped yet.
So here's my problem:
I got my OnePlus2 today, wanted to root it straight away, and so i did. After installing TWRP and rooting my phone, i f'ed up (as i found out until now):
I went back into the developer options, disabled USB-Debugging as well as the OEM-lock, which allowed me to unlock the bootloader , because i wanted to disable developer options again (i like it clean). Bad idea, as it turns out. My bootloader is now locked again and could not be unlocked as of now, after hours of trying to figure out a way.
Another problem that came with it is the bootloop when i try to (re)start the device. The phone flashes the OnePlus-logo for half a second, vibrates, and starts again, over and over. The only way to get the phone out of the loop is by pressing POWER + VOLUME UP and booting into fastboot. Then i can do all the fastboot-commands on my PC, but i can't get into the recovery or flash anything because the bootloader is locked. Trying to 'fastboot oem unlock' only results in the device restarting and getting stuck in the bootloop i mentioned before again.
I managed to get the phone to work a few times by executing 'fastboot continue', which either starts to show the charging battery symbol or booting up like normal (about a 50% chance I'd say).
ADB commands can then be executed, but I'd need a way to flash a ROM without going into the bootloader or recovery, which seems to be impossible.
Is there any way you could help? Is there an ADB command to reset the phone to the state it was delivered, without me having any sort of backup? Or can the bootloader be unlocked via ADB?
Thanks a million in advance! :fingers-crossed:

You might want to contact Naman Bhalla. I know he's helping out people fix bricked phones on xda as well as opo forums. I've messaged him as well. Hope he's got time today.
Till he replies, try to make sure that your battery stay charged, somehow.

Thank you so very much! I will try to contact him.
Also battery should be no problem as I can boot the phone via fastboot. Either way, I'll have an eye on it!

I'm really sorry, I meant to post the solution but obviously I forgot...
So here's how I (with the help of aforementioned Naman Bhalla) fixed my OP2:
https:// forums.oneplus. net/threads/mega-unbrick-guide-for-a-hard-bricked-oneplus-2.347607/ (just remove the spaces i put in because I'm not allowed to post links just yet)
It's as simple as to follow the steps in this Guide. Take some time, read through it and everything should work out fine.
I can't really give more tips as I was lucky enough to be helped by the OP of the guide linked above. If nothing works for you, just try to PM him, he's a very nice and friendly guy!

Nexus 6P Bootloop, fastboot devices works, but no other fastboot commands work

Hello,
My wife's 6P is stuck in a bootloop. Here's what I've tried so far:
adb devices -> no result
fastboot devices -> device info is displayed
Any other fastboot command -> "FAILED (command write failed(No error))"
I unlocked her bootloader when we got the phone, but I can't flash anything. I just keep getting that error.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.
Did you update ADB and fastboot ?

Yep, I'm able to see my 6P and N7 2012 via ADB, just my wife's 6P that I can't seem to get to work.
Not sure what happened, but I am now able to execute fastboot commands without getting that error. So now I'm waiting for the battery to die down enough to be able to boot recovery per this post. Hopefully this will fix it.

You're not able to boot to stock recovery ?
---------- Post added at 14:40 ---------- Previous post was at 14:21 ----------
What happens if you put a working twrp.img into your fastboot folder and try to boot it without flashing.
fastboot boot twrp.img
or
fastboot boot recovery twrp.img

correct, I cannot boot to stock recovery, flash a custom recovery, or boot to a custom recovery directly (without flashing).

Yes, actually the thing with the freezer i never heard that before, but if i remember right someone uses heat to make the phone bootable for a short time. May you carefully try this
with a hairdryer ??? And then try the 4 core modified boot.img

ok, I can give this a try today after work and report back... thanks
The freezer trick did not work. But what helped me was to let the phones battery run out then plug it into the charger and let it boot loop for about 20 mins or so. The phone should boot at that point. I'm thinking the phone has to at least have a minimal charge to boot. Once the phone boots take it off the charger and make sure that "usb debugging" is on as well as allow "oem unlock" option. Once those settings are set go back to fast boot and attempt to flash the four core fix. It really works ????. If you leave the charger on it will go back to boot looping after it reaches 10 percent or so. Hope this helps.

My bootloader is already unlocked, but I can't flash or boot the four core fix.
I know this question sounds redundant, but does your phone show your bootloader to be unlocked? Seems quite strange that it would not run the fastboot commands. What is the command that you are typing in to install the four core fix.

no worries, I appreciate the attention/suggestions this thread is getting.... yeah, the bootloader is showing as unlocked. Also as of post #4, I am able to execute all fastboot commands now... I'm not 100% sure why it started working.
Always glad to help. Have you been able to fix the phone?
Sorry to disturb you, after I unlocked my device, I tried to flash both normal fix and 4 -core fix img > flash TWRP recovery, but I still cannot get into recovery mode, is my procedure wrong?
1) Flash 4 core fix boot img.
2) Flash TWRP recovery.
3) Boot to recovery.
4) Bootloop.
Thank you.

No, but our Pixel 2's just showed up, so this isn't as urgent for me as it originally was. I'm hoping I can still get her old Nexus 6P and use it as our home phone with Google Voice. But, first I have to get this fix to work...
I'm able to flash the modified boot images without any errors, but I still can't get it to boot... I'm thinking it might be because my wife had to keep her phone 3-6 months behind the most current factory image (due to a poorly supported app she HAS to have for work) so I'm thinking the boot images on this thread won't work for her phone because he's on an older factory image. Am I correct in thinking this might be the problem?
I've requested that the OP of that thread either created modified boot images for the older versions of the factory images or explain how he made them so I can try to make them myself. Hopefully he's able to help me out.

Cant leave fastboot after unlocking bootloader....

So just got the axon 7 mini yesterday and was so excited I decided to try to root it with my laptop while my girl was driving us home from Las Vegas..... Ell I got as far as unlocking the boot loader.... now i get this odd screen after i try to exit fastboot. (pic-1) and no matter what option I pick the only thing that will come up is this screen. The only time its different is if I try to chose start from this screen then I get (pic-2) The best thing about this is that I can still go back to fastboot anytime. And it shows up in fastboot devices. Do I need to reflash stock thru fastboot? If so How and Where can i find it. Can I just flash nougat? I'm new to ADB/Fastboot.... Thank you for your time and consideration ahead of time for any help.
Hi, jcole6197, I think you can do as the screen told, there are steps in the screen.
Perhaps you can use tuliptool to relock the boot loader and flash the corresponding no verity boot file found in the development section. It almost seems like the boot binary was corrupted or lost during the process.

so I was stuck all day yesterday trying anything and everything. BY THE WAY...Im very knowledgable but im pretty much a newb in rooting dept. especially fastboot. Well it seems I erased everything including the bootloader then battery died and no I have NOTHING on screen, no vibrations. Pretty much looks bricked. But when I try to put it in my computer to charge it it still shows up in my devices. BUT its not being found in adb/fastboot. I've tried every key combo/and length of holding them which doesnt do nothing
Can you place the device in edl? It will not display any lights or images when it is in edl.

Phone in bootloop, cant access recovery

Hi guys,
this is my first x compact. I unlocked the bootloader per sony's instructions on their site + what I read here.
I flashed twrp, booted to recovery, and wiped and installed the lineage 16.0 which is stickied.
Everything worked great but various rootcheckers said still not rooted. This bothered me.
I followed the thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/x-compact/how-to/stock-8-0-root-recovery-t3747479).
I used flashtool to flash stock oreo. After that, bootloops. And can't access recovery.
I can still enter flash mode and fastboot mode, but using the CMD in platform-tools, phone not recognized.
There must be something I can do? Thank you.

Use Flashtool again, and this time, before clicking , in the box that says "wipe", check 'userdata'.
Back up anything you want to save in internal storage.

No problem - I'm messing around with a Samsung at the moment, but I still check in here from time to time. I think XC is my favorite phone so far... XZ2C was really nice too, but (unofficially) official Sailfish OS puts XC on top for me...

Hi friend, please maybe you can help me. I have almost the same issue. But after using LineageOS for some days, my phone stuck in boot logo. I managed to use Flash Tool to flash latest original stock ROM (Customized IBE). Strangely the flash process ended OK, but the phone still stuck in boot logo. I'm only able to force shut down with Volumen Up+Power Off (3 vibrates). Not possible to enter Recovery Mode.
I'm 98% sure that I have flashed with check in wipe USERDATE and also in CUST-RESET. But I wanted to try again, and now Im not able to enter flashmode. Phone gets green light, when volume down, but Flashstool is not recognizing the phone.
Thanks in advance

yes, after hard work to install drivers, I managed to get the phone to be recognized by Flashtool in fastboot mode. But the phone is not charging when turned off, and its not rebooting. I wanted to try again with stock ROM, since I got some battery issues with LineageOS (phone turned off while playing some games, and worked fine while doing the same with usb cable charging to laptop or AC charger.)
But I cannot do anything right now. Only fastboot mode and force restart works, but it stuck in Sony logo (after normal bootloader unlock 5 seconds warning). What can I do?
