My Google Play Store wont download (new or update) any apps while I'm on wifi, but works fine using my data?
Everything else works using wifi, just not my play store.
Any fix for this? It seems to correspond with the security update I received on Thursday.
Hi,
I had the same problem à few months ago.
I solved that, disabling ipv6 on my rooter.

I can't even get Google Play Store to work anymore at any wifi Hotspots either, Starbucks, McDonald's, hotels, ect... It worked before the update on Thursday.
[EDIT] Just for kicks and giggles, I enabled Ipv6 on my home Netgear router... Play Store now works, and it's about 3 times faster too.
Thanks for the tip!

I have a no brand galaxy s4 and lasy week I did OTA update to 4.4.2.
I noticed a vpn issue: when i try to connect to vpn pptp at work, the phone establish connection but no data is routed from /to the phone.
I tried to change username and password, even on the router at work, but it's always the same.
I read on the Google forum that it's a known bug from last November but I've never seen a solution. Some people tells that it's a bug in kitkat where mss/mtu are set too high to make vpn connection work.
Please can anyone help me?
Thank you
Alex

Ever since I got my Nexus 6, it's been having problems downloading apps from Play Store and other issues. At first I thought this was a Play Store related error later realized that it was my Router that was giving the problems.
Every other article on the web tells you to Clear your Play Store and Play Services cache to fix problems, I know you all have tried those thousands of times and are still looking for a working solution.
Well what worked for me was to disable QoS (Quality of Service) option on the Router.
This fixed all the issues related to WiFi and has in turn fixed Play Store errors Error 927 etc.
Do give it a try.
Thanks.
Were do I find that on the router ? I'm clueless

Am not sure which router you may be using, because its different for each router. Just Google this: "disable qos on router name".

Its usually under advanced settings. Yes it really depends on the router. I have the nighthawk by netgear and that's where my settings are
Hello,
Since two days my XT1562 (single SIM, EU retail, Marshmallow, unlocked bootloader, rooted) has a problem with the internet connection via wifi.
It is connecting to the router. I can see it listed in the router's web interface, with MAC-address and IP-address. But on the phone itself the wifi status is "Connected, no internet". In the settings the IP-address shows "Not available".
This happens only with the wifi network at home. I tried some other networks (work, neighbours), and they connect normally.
I did not change settings on the phone or on the router. We have two other devices at home (one Android, one iOS), and both have no problems.
So the phone's wifi seems to function normally, the router's wifi seems to function normally. But for some reason the combination stopped working. I tried forgetting the network, and on connecting re-entering the password. But still "Connected, no internet".
What options do I have for diagnosing or solving the problem?
Edit: setting the IP-address on the phone to static instead of DHCP does not solve the problem. Forgetting the network and reset router to factory defaults does not solve the problem.

i have same problem with iphone 5.
i change region of my modem in setting of modem.
to usa OR CHina.
Solved!
Sorry for eng.
In the modem/router (UBEE EVW3210) the country is set to EU. I can not change that.
Today I visited my parents. They have a UBEE EVW3200 modem, from the same provider. Wifi functioned without any problem.
Returned back home: Connected, no internet.
Ubee issue?
Same issue here with Ubee EWV3210 from Ziggo. All Android 5.x devices stopped connecting to internet. Provider says it's not their fault since iphone and android 4.x have no issues. Replaced modem with Cisco modem and now everything is working again. Problem in in android 5.x in combination with Ubee modem and probably it's Ziggo firmware.

This can't be a coincidence, I live 10 km from Veenendaal. Did Ziggo swap the modems?

They dont want to help. I still had an old cisco modem and swapped it today. It fixed the issue. Ziggo doesnt swap modem unless they send a service guy.
Try playing around with the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, both on phone and router.
Probleem is op te lossen door op Mijn Ziggo Wifi Hotspots uit te schakelen.

Volgens Ziggo een half uur geleden opgelost. Even getest, en ja het werkt weer.
Problem was caused by provider (firmware update?), and was solved half an hour ago.
Everyone thanks for their input.

Hi,
I have an issue with my 6p. When I am connected to WiFi it randomly disconnects and reconnects for no obvious reason.
It happened with 5ghz or 2.5ghz network and with all the network that I used the past few weeks at different places.
Does anyone has the same issue?

Do you use stock or custom rom? Any modifications?
I use the stock rim without any modifications. A few days ago I enrolled for the beta program to see if there was a fix in the last preview but the problem is still here.

Could try resetting network connections. Would wipe out saved WiFi and Bluetooth connections so you will have to reconfigure.
Android settings..... System..... Advanced.... Reset.... options..... Reset mobile Bluetooth and wifi.

Tried, but no success ?
Finally got the issue fixed by tweaking some router settings. I changed the MTU vakue to 1492 and everything started working perfectly after that ??
