This is a US model and I flashed Tron1 'we do it better then ZTE' (B02) onto it. In other words a A2017G onto a A2017U phone. It all worked out for a couple weeks until one day i slid into Airplane Mode.....after apparently turning it the Mode off....IT WILL NOT GO OFF! I cannot make or receive calls now! I changed the ROM so i could use more languages.....besides only the 5 languages that the US phone has. Does anyone have suggestions?...thank you phukedup

Just got a slide for my wife and with the stock rom it would reboot when trying to make a call, so I rooted it and put cm6 on it with the latest baseband, now after I make 2 to 4 calls I can't send or recive calls or text until I reboot.can anyone help
Im having the same issue and it seems to have something to do with the radio.
Things i have noticed with this issue:
Theres a lot of people having it.
when this occcurs, several things change with the device:
you cant make calls just sits at "dialing" until it times out (cm6/7). reboots (stock rom)
sometimes calls come in, other times it just rings on the other end but not on the phone.
text messages bounce back and no mms receive, (i have gotten sms though)
web still works fine.
cannot enter fully airplane mode (everything turns off except signal strength)
once you try and enter airplane mode, you MUST reboot the device. (you cannot press the exit airplane mode button, as it is greyed out, and if you go into the "phone info menu" *#*#whatever... pressing the turn radio off/on button doesnt help either)
Once you reboot, the phone will be FULLY in airplane mode (at which time you can exit airplane mode and all the radios will come online.
you cannot write to (ie save to sim) or read from the sim card. (smsc refresh = refresh error) and network type changes to GSM-PRL (usually WCDMA Preferred) changing it back has no effect.
These symptoms seem to point in the direction of a sim read/write fault or a radio issue or a combination of both. but as i have noticed a number of people experiencing the same issue, i have to assume that this a defect in design or programming. i could really use some help or at least a few EDUCATED guesses. im sure that other people would appreciate it too.
p.s. replaced sim card, so thats not an issue.

Sounds like a hardware issue that won't be fixed by a rom/radio update if it was doing it stock.
is this a known issue with this phone or manufature since i see a lot of people having the same problem
My replacement phone (#2) gets the quality force close when I make calls...this phone is a fail.
Has anyone come up with a solution here? I have the same restarting issue on stock and 7.02. I've tried different radios and sim cards...
Thanks!
this is for device, ascend g300 (U8815)
I searched for something similar but no result, no surprise for me since the problem is complicated. If it's a bug of cyanomod it cost me 200euros..read below.
The phone had stock ROM ICS. I sent the phone at Huawei service on December 2013, due to damaged receiver (phone couldn't send messages and sometimes call sound was bad). I took it back this Saturday. By the time I take the phone back the warranty was void(1 year passed). I tested the receiver and it was working. So I flashed it on Saturday with cyanomod 10.3. The phone was fully functional for 2 days, with no problems at all, only on the beggining 3 google apps were showing errors, but they were updated and errors stopped.
The 3rd day I decided to switch Number, because I have 2 numbers in one sim, from the same company, 2 in one sim. When I used to do this to my stock rom, I could switch number with no need of restarting the phone. The app that was doing it was called "SIM TOOLKIT", it is system's app. But when I tried doing it with cyanomod 10.3 app asked me to restart the phone to switch to my 2nd number, as I did. The phone was restarted and was working with the 2nd number.
I decided to switch again. Same message appeared "restart is required". This time I IGNORED the message by pressing back button, the window dissapeard and after 1 minute I got message (as always) "switching was succesful". But when I tried call someone, but the phone couldn't call anyone, it was like no sim. The system could see the sim, though. I decided to turn off the phone 2 hours later. Since then it never turned on, no recovery, no initial huawei logo, nothing. I tried plug it to computer, charge, unplug the battery for sometime and plug it again and all the common solutions.
I called my mobile company, they refused to fix it for free, they don't care if it was again at service 2 weeks ago. Huawei service never answer any calls. What to do?
Thanks in Advance.
I have N910F variant, when I enter in flight mode and leave it like that for a longer time, let's say over night, the phone cannot find reception only after a reboot. It either says cannot connect or no sim card... I have the latest NK4 firmware but I had thid problem since day one. Also many times per day the recrption freezes. It looks like I have reception but in fact I cannot make or receive calls or messages. Again only a reboot helps. I took the phone to the service center of my career (Orange Romania) they only did a wipe and reinstall the software. Wich of course didn't help. Did any of you experience something similar?
Should be a firmware bug.

I sure hope so, but after 2 firmware updates everything is the same...maybe I will wait for thd Lollipop update and if that doesn't help, I eill have to send the device again to service.
I've noticed this happen on my Nexus devices as well (using note 4 currently). Could it be carrier related rather than a firmware bug?
I don't think it is the carrier's issue.
I forgot to mention that the first thing I did was to change the SIM card. That didn't help. I still have my Note 2 with which I have no problem with. So I don't think it is the career.
I have the A2017G model and recently updated it to Nougat 7.0 via the official update file from ZTE Germany. I had this issue from day one.
After pretty much any phone call, I have no signal (not during the call, only after) and I have to wait 2-3 minutes before it gets restored. Sometimes I have to turn airplane mode on and off or even restart the phone (the latter only a few times)
I tried changing the settings and selecting my network manually but nothing helps. I didn't have these issues with my previous phones with the same SIM. Any ideas?
For unknown reason, I can no longer get LTE after touching the Network Mode setting. The default mode on my G6 is "Global", and when I tried changing it to "LTE/GSM/UMTS" it surprisingly switched to 4G. So I changed it back to Global to get the LTE back, but it did not work. I tried switching the data On and Off, restarted the phone (several times), switching to Airplane mode and back. None of the above helped.
After searching the net and finding no answer, I decided to call AT&T tech support to see if it's just something that got messed up on their end. The person told me to delete the default APN and guided me to create a new one and restart the phone. I was also asked to give the IMEI of the phone (probably because it's a carrier-free version). None helped to fix the issue.
The only things I can think of now to possibly resolve this is to reset the phone and even get a new SIM card. But before trying these drastic actions and losing several hours of backup/restoration/setup/tweaks, I wanted to get some expert advise from you guys.
I'm using the US997 model (boot loader still locked).
The reason I tried messing up with the Network Mode is because I've read from somewhere that the Global mode tends to drain more battery.
Thank you all in advance.

This was a long time ago but did you ever resolve this issue? I think I'm having the same issue except I can only get 3G.
