it would be really helpful if someone more can assist me with my issue here on my Samsung Note 3. Before I state the issue I've been experiencing with my phone, here are my phone's software info:
Model: SM-N900W8
Running Kit Kat 4.4.2 with custom ROM
PhilZ Touch 6
Build Version: 6.26.6 - Note 3 (cm_hlte)
CWM Base version: v6.0.4.8
Touch GUI revision 1.16

I traded for this phone unlocked and rooted from Kijiji and I really like the phones functionality and upgrade over the Note 2 (my previous phone). But after about a couple of weeks of owning the phone, I notice that the phone started to act up from time to time by freezing (on various apps) and automatically zooming in when in certain pages on the internet when scrolling down. So to "temporarily" fix the problem, I have to lock and unlock my phone. Even after clearing the RAM and closing apps, the problem persists and it happens more so now that before (I would say 20 to 30 times a day I have to lock and unlock the phone to "unfreeze" the screen).
Any suggestions, recommendations and comments would be helpful.

I'm using CM since a long time on my S3 and now on my S5 (SM-G900F). Everything is running fine for me, the only issue I currently have, is the fact that in the date on some apps day and month is mixed up. I'm using german setting, so normally to date should be 14.6.2015, but it is 6.14.2015.
It is not a big issue, everything seems to work fine, but perhaps somebody has an idea.
On my Samsung Tab S it looks fine.

I was on stock andriod 6.0 and wanted to upgrade to 7.0 but couldnt wait so i downloaded 7.0 firmware from sammobile.com and used odin and everything ran smoothly, but once everything was complete i found out that the Always on screen didnt work well ( the screen light is always on along with the always on clock) . Before i upgraded to 7.0 my always on screen used to be completely off except for the clock but now the entire screen is lid and it looks really ugly because it isnt deep black, plus the battery life is short now..
I tried different firmwares (both 6.0 and 7.1) and also many custom rooms to solve it..but it didnt work. Everything else works perfectly except the always on screen

If you mean always on background is not dark as old version as and it's drain battery, there is no solution to reinstall it. This is so weird problem. Also, I couldn't understand what is the exact problem. You should capture the screen with external camera and post it here. Maybe that can help you more.
That is indeed a weird problem. First time i heard of this. It seems like a bug or smth. Did you do a factory reset etc each time you flashed a rom file?
I already faced the same issue in marshmallow. Service center has detected it as a screen problem and replaced it whether third party AODs (from playstore) worked flawlessly on faulty screen.
I have the same problem after nougat too, problem is my phone is from singapore and I'm here in India. Such a premium phone, no internaitonal coverage for manufacturing defect -__-
Got exactly the same problem after using phone a bit more than 4 months. Stock firmware and never rooted, never dropped. Already tried a factory reset - did not help. So looks like a screen defect... Will bring it to the warranty.
Hello everyone, i have search on google there are a few threads about half screen freeze including note 4, s7, LG g4, nexus 6...but i have not found a solution to fix it. some said it hardware and some said it software related. anyone here know how to fix the problem? The problem happens with the right side screen freeze and stuck with previous image while the left side works normal and sometimes the right side turn into static. My phone is stock android 4.4.4 and have not rooted. bought on October 2015 and for a year and half the phone works fine and recently the half screen freeze problem occurs. Please anyone has fixed it give a solution. Thank you for reading and answers would be appreciated.
good morning. please i have s8 and s9. how is possible that even perhaps same hardware, these phones are very different in use? the s8 has lags very often even when i resetted factory store. i have g950f nobrand and stock rom.
is possible that i have to root for solve this problem or can i solve in some steps???
