fingers crossed. I'm in the same exact boat hoping the OP5 supports Freedom's new lte bands so i can switch!

If it's LTE band 66 then it sure will, I've seen all 34 bands it's listed as compatible with and this is one of them but there's not long till you can confirm that

There's been a lot of speculation based on this tweet going on:
https://twitter.com/oneplus/status/876469710916857856
It's rumored there might just be one international model - compatible with most current LTE bands. Would be awesome if LTE roaming was finally possible.

Yep I'm thinking the same about there just being one model as I've been lucky enough to see a little something which states 34 band compatibility and as it's launched today I'm sure there's no harm sharing:
FDD LTE:B1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,17,18,19,20,25,26,28,29,30,66
TDD-LTE:B38,39,40,41
TDS:B34,39
UMTS:B1,2,4,5,8
GSM:B2,3,5,8

There is one band that is conspicuously absent from that list....

Hi Folks,
Given these supported bands and Sprint's LTE is bands 25, 26, and 41, does this mean that OP5 will fully work with Google's Project Fi?
I've been waiting to move to Project Fi but not willing to pay for the Pixel.
Thanks!

Project Fi only fully works on the Nexus and Pixel line. Even if another phone supports the bands, you will only have access to T-Mobile.

No mention was made of a Hero with 3G that'd work on Rogers or AT&T back at its announcement a few days ago, but HTC has been getting awfully good at making phones that work properly around these parts -- so we can't say we're entirely surprised to see a Hero approved for WCDMA on Bands II and V gracing the FCC today. For the record, Bands II and V are 1900 and 850MHz, respectively, which is exactly the combo AT&T subscribers would need to flip the switch on high-speed data. We're not sure if this negates rumors that the Hero would be coming to Sprint, but if we can just get this version released and in our hands, you know... maybe our minds would be operating with a little more clarity.

there was a rumor originally that the Hero would be coming for Sprint. just because a ATT 3G band model passed the FCC, it doesn't mean that the phone isn't still going to come out for Sprint. it's still early, be patient!

According to pdadb.com it will be the G1 Touch (HTC Hero 100). Only difference between this version and the regular Hero is that they added the 1700 band to work here. Supposedly coming this month.

AT&T definitely stepping it up with brand recognition, similar to how starbucks removed their name from the logo.
Looks about right. I wonder if Verizon's variant will still have the atrocious branding on the home button.

That's a nice, simply branding that doesn't take away from the device. Makes me want to abandon Verizon even more. We'll see what their official pics look like... (Hopefully the ones that were released are not official...)
Looking on the date on the phone, does it gives us a clue that it will be released on Thursday, November 15?

I used a penny to rub off the branding on my Atrix. As long as it's just silk screened print on the cover it should work here as well.
Now, if the AT&T Note II's hardware is identical to the international version (with the exception of the LTE radios), then I'm pretty well sold! Flash the international firmware, and keep the AT&T specific modem.bin, and you've got the best of both worlds!
This is perfect. Nice and simple. Now all they have to do is release the damn thing.

If I were to wager a guess... If there were custom ROMs released that are based on the international firmware one could flash that without borking the device.

But no LTE on the international version, correct? Useless to me without LTE. When I get throttled on LTE I get throttled down to HSPA and that's manageable. Without it? It's throttled back to EDGE.

No. If you bothered to google this question, you would have found about eleventy bazillion links to this question, and they all say no, you can't. Even if Verizon allowed unlocked devices (which they don't), the Nexus 4 is GSM only, and Verizon uses CDMA for calls. No calls, no 3G data, no 4G data, no LTE. Not a sausage. Well, 911, but that's a given.

NO!
But this would be possible if Verizon allowed unlocked devices, correct? Because both can support 1700 mhz
I know this is regarding the Nexus 5 but I'm assuming it's the same reason:
Verizon is intentionally blocking the Nexus 5 from their network since the Nexus 5 has all the ability to run on Verizon with no issues. The Nexus 5 radio supports all of Verizon's frequency bands. Verizon doesn't like universal service network phones that are new unlocked cell phones they can't lock into that old 2 year services contract scheme that has made them rich

And if a frog had wings it wouldn't bump his ass when he hopped.
But yeah, if Verizon ever allowed unlocked phones, theoretically it might be possible to get LTE working on it. But the Nexus 4 doesn't have CDMA, which Verizon uses for telephony, so you wouldn't be able actually use it as a phone.

The international octa core version should perfectly work on T-Mobile? With LTE and HSPA+ perfectly?
Because if the international version of the N4 this time works perfectly on T-Mobile, then there is no reason to buy the T-Mobile version... International version is Octa Core, plus LTE CAT 6 / 300mbps... Instead of Quad Core LTE CAT 4 / 150mbps...
-> The outcome of this post, will determine what I will buy...
Can someone confirm, or let me know correct information? Thanks...
On the International model your missing Band 2 , 4 , 12 for the lte bands. The specs are all over the place, on Samsung site Att, and Verizon show as CAT 6, and Tmobile shows CAT 4. Even though their all the Snap Dragon version.

That's where I bought mine. Make sure you buy from amazon or at least FULFILLED by amazon in case you get a defective or a questionable unit. Don't huy from seller FreeTaxMse... I got a bad unit from that seller and when I returned the item, they were trying to blame me and accusing me that the unit and box don't tally... luckily It was fulfilled by amazon you I dealt with amazon. My N910C runs on AT&T via straight talk. So far so good. Not sure about Tmobile though. I always buy my phones from amazon.

I have the n910c on att in ny. I only got hspa+ until i talked to an att rep onljne and they did a few things on their end and now i have lte. My sim card was in a nexus 4 before hand.
Well I sure wish my C version had not been bad or maybe that I got aC version as a replacement because LTE is a nice thing to have.
