I am planning to buy Galaxy Note, but many ppl are compaining the speaker has very low volume.
Now, its very very important for me that the phone plays alarms loud.... Also i wud hate to have many missed calls as i didnt heard the ring!
So, shall i really be worried abt the speaker volume?
In my opinion it's kind of low, but not a dealbreaker. I installed a free equalizer app, AnEq, and pushed the sliders up for all 5 frequencies, 60-14k hertz, to the top. Seemingly this gives a 15 dB boost and brings the total volume up as high as I'm used to.
I came from a lg optimus one, which has the speaker on the front and a louder volume. I would prefer a bit louder volume on the note.

i think it is low
It's pretty low IMO.
I will check some of my personal files on a demo unit, and report back here if i found it to be low.... (Goin for a demo timm.)
I have seen the demo, and have really found the speaker not to my liking as my 2year old samsung phone sounds way too much better than this and it was quite important to me + there were other software issues as well... So unfortunately i have decided to skip buying this phone.
This work for my sgs2. I currently have no issues and the note woke up a very hard sleeper this mourning.

How is the volume and audio quality of the loudspeaker when playing music on edge 7? Compared to Note 4 or Note 5....?
Yeah this is a big one for me. Had mixed reports on it some saying very loud and some saying muffled and quiet.
Depends on the file/app for me. Some playing pretty loud and some play super loud. I actually have to turn something's down.

You actually listen to music with the speaker?
How about calling someone and using the speakerphone?
Is anyone having sound issues, i find the lg g6 has very low volume. i have to put it half way just to enjoy content.
Sounds about right
Compared to G5 it's very loud. I find myself turning it down rather than turning it up. The speaker is very loud compared to other phones I've had. Maybe not the best quality, but loud nonetheless.

For me usually less then half would been enough for volume. but for some reason i have to have it almost half or even more to enjoy content. I ask a representative from my carrier to help me and told me that they were getting a lot reports of bad volume.
Sound on the phone is okay, but when connected via bluetooth in the car, I would prefer it to be louder.

Odd, my G6 is loud via Bluetooth. On par with my 1+3T, S7 Edge, and Pixel XL

Louder than my S7 Edge was and louder than my Pixel XL too... All Verizon devices if that makes any difference

Hello. I'd like to buy Moto G5+ but I read so many negative opinions about sound from speaker and headphones (Jack 3.5 mm). I'd like to know what do you think about speaker and headset in G5+. What's your opinion about audio quality, volume level, etc.?
It seems to be about the same as my S6 was. I have no complaints at all.
Dolby Atmos!
I think we must do something so that Lenovo owned Motorola must also give us Dolby Atmos in the next update!!
The speaker in my G5+ is pretty good, imo. Gets fairly loud, and generally remains clear even at high volume levels.
The headphone jack, however, is a little underpowered though. You have to turn up the volume to higher levels as compared to the G3, and even the E2. 3 volume up clicks above 0 was my staple, and now its 4, and sometimes 5. The audio quality is ok though.
I'm using black player and the sound quality is way better than default play music.play with 3rd party players u"ll get some excellent music experience.
Does the job well
I agree with all the answers in this tread: It gets fairly loud and clear. It's not the best but it gets the job well done. The quality of the 3.5mm headphone jack is also fair.
The audio quality depends on the type of hearing aids you use, usually I use some that mark the bass
For whatever reason, using Bluetooth audio (Moto Surround), I am getting an unusual distortion at higher volumes in contrast to my Moto X Pure Edition and my Droid Turbo. Turbo was spitting harsh treble on some songs but the MXPE held up fine in both regards. Interesting how even Bluetooth audio can vary.
Over 3.5mm though, it seems a bit "spacious" to me, like there is almost a slight reverb and a tiny muffle. Still more than listenable, it's something I can adjust to.

Never heard of Moto Surround. Things sound fine via Bluetooth via SoundCloud and also Poweramp (app). It respects the equalizer settings when using PowerAmp. For SoundCloud though i have no power over the sound signature but it is similar to what I had for the MXPE and MX2014. That said my reciever has APT X driver, but even when connected to one that doesn't it all sounds fairly standard. Little to no difference so I'm curious about your statement for sure.
For me headphone volume via 3.5 jack is loud (and you can use the preamp in Poweramp to give it a significant boost for your audio). Regardless, I'm fairly pleased with output and I have it at around 75% volume to listen to music in the New York City Subway.

aptX support is in full swing here too, this is why I share your confusion. But I do recommend the Surround, it's not advertised to have noise cancelling but it makes the harsh screeching the 6 train makes at 14th Street bearable when listening to music.

I wonder if Motorola has included a dsp to enhance the sound signature... that would explain the change in sound. I found the product on Amazon's site. Its pretty inexpensive now, I might just buy it just to test out your notion. lol.
Sound very satisfied

I've purchased the phone and the sound of speaker is loud , clear and higher than my previous sony z3
For the headphone I didn't try it but from the reviews, comments and it's build I think it's not good
But I'm using third party headphone called panasonic you will find it in this link :
amazon/ Panasonic-RP-HJE120-K-In-Ear
The best ever headphone I've used , better than my apple headphone and working charm ,loud and ultra bass on my moto G5 plus
Now I'm very satisfied with my moto

I agree. Comparing to my Moto X play the G5 Plus is much more bassy, too much like a bass boost option is on and it does sound a bit harsher. Yes it does sound a bit spacious too. The X play sounded just like a line out, as it should. There is something going on here with the G5 Plus.
Proper etiquette aside (hint: don't use speakerphone while doing your "business" in a public bathroom), rate this thread to express how you think the Moto G7 Plus's speakerphone performs. A higher rating indicates that you love it: it's loud and it's clear.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
The audio is awesome. Stereo Sound clearly make a difference (the top one could get louder tho), Dolby Smart Sound performs great. The only thing bothering me with the speakers are the volume steps (they are very messed up), that could be fixed with a software update.
I agree the stereo Dolby sound is great. I thought my G5+ had a good loud mono speaker but on the G7+ it's louder & clearer. I always used V4A on the G5+ but am not sure I'll need it now.
I'm older and don't like earphones unless I'm out in public, and at home I don't listen to music on my phone. But I listen to lots of audio podcasts and stuff on youtube that the screen can be turned off for (using Vanced background play module for Magisk) while going around doing my chores, and for that purpose the G7+ will be even better. And of course for watching videos with screen on the speaker sound is both strong and of good quality.
The Sound is very great.
I am very Happy with the Phone.
I just wish it could be LESS loud!
The 1% volume is still to high when you are listening to some music in bed with someone sleeping in a room nearby. Why can't the volume go lower?
Moto G7 Plus speaker Functionality
The earpiece in the Moto g7 plus serves as the Bass and lowermid frequencies while the bottom speaker gives you mid to highs and has a fuller sound.
The earpiece producing bass gives the phone vibration which you can feel when you hear music. At max volume, the bottom speaker seems to play louder than the earpiece, but that is okay, since the earpiece is actually producing the bass and thump and the vibration.
Quality is really good and enjoyable and even with headphones.
Probably the best speakers in a Moto phone since the Moto X Pure/Style of 2015. Loud and clear. Reasonable tone, considering how small the drivers have to be.
I bought a used G7 Plus recently. The sound is amazing, I'm using it in the Movie setting.
The earpiece speaker (at the top) has a very different sound response and it seems like it has a lower volume than the speaker at the bottom, therefore I went to settings, searched for "balance" and adjusted it by around 30% to the left side. Now it sounds better. When using other audio outputs (bluetooth, P2 earphones) I need to reset the balance to 0.
