The At& t model doesn't have the OEM Unlocking option in Developer Options.....Which means, our Bootloader is not unlockable (and may never be).

Network Unlock u8800-51

Hi,
Is there anyway to remove the network unlock of my ATT Impulse (U8800-51)? I try to flash it with different roms and it always ends up asking me for a network unlock code. I bought one on Ebay but it does not work. Thanks
Just upgrade to gb it unlocked mine

How does an upgrade of firmware just SIM unlock a phone?
Can anyone else confirm this?

It changes the carrier configurations and somehow unlocks it. Try it

Huawei releases general versions, not specific ones for carriers like Samsung does. So when you flash it it doesn't include your carrier lock information. Just flashing B512(is an international version) over another BXX will unlock the phone.

[Q] New ROM on Rooted Verizon GS5

I rooted my Verizon S5 yesterday with TowelRoot and want to put a new ROM on it because, lets face it, Touchwiz blows. Anybody care to explain to me how to do it? Thanks in advance.
You can't. The bootloader has yet to be unlocked.
Really? Damn that sucks. Can you explain that to me too? Please

What Is Bootloader?
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...-bootloader-on-android-phones-complete-guide/
Bootloader unlocking should not be confused with Android rooting.
Oooh okay, so just because the device is rooted, the bootloader is still locked. Also, just as the roots for each carrier's device is different, the bootloaders are as well?

J,
hi, until we get bootloaders unlocked for carrier variants OR get a safestrap working OR figure out if the tab 4 carrier variants
are succeptible to the RSA signature exploit, the answer is a solid , not yet.

I was under the impression that tmob had an unlocked bootloader. Because i have already flashed TWRP.

I was thinking the same thing and also have TWRP installed. I was looking now and still do not see any roms for this tablet.

G935U

Hello, I've decided to post this after unsuccessfully finding any information about the g935u. Everything I find is about flashing the u firmware to other devices. I would like to start a gathering of people to share links, files, ideas about this phone and it's potential with "more stable rooting methods that don't use Eng and possible bootloader unlock" I haven't been active with xda since note 3 so please excuse my inability to search and post correctly. This phone would be so much better unlocked, maybe we could start a petition or a bounty? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm holding out hope for something better for our phones. Im still on PG9 with Aug 16th security patch 3.18.20-7856276-eng. I remember waiting over a year just for root for my sm-n900a when geohot came in and owned the phone within a few days of trying lol

I'm doing all kinds of searches, but nothing about rooting this model. There are some posts about this model in this thread though:

Yeah, that's the only rom so far and there won't be any until they're able to unlock the bootloader.

None at this time but I'm hoping there'll be one soon. Meanwhile, you can subscribe to the Edge thread to keep up with the updates.

It involves going through a slightly scary process that could possibly end up bricking your phone. The US Cellular version of the US-996 isn't eligible for bootloader unlock from LG directly so you have to dirty cow the crap out of it. I just did it to mine a few days ago and the whole thing will make you sweat a bit but I can confirm that it worked for me personally.
You can find the guide here:
