I got the OEM Unlock to toggle On and also USB Debugging is on as well. Is there a way to unlock the bootloader and root this phone?

It involves going through a slightly scary process that could possibly end up bricking your phone. The US Cellular version of the US-996 isn't eligible for bootloader unlock from LG directly so you have to dirty cow the crap out of it. I just did it to mine a few days ago and the whole thing will make you sweat a bit but I can confirm that it worked for me personally.
You can find the guide here:

On the atrix I don't want it unlocked anymore the bootloader so how can it be locked again?
It can't, once unlocked always unlocked. Only thing you can do is flash an sbf to "hide" the unlock text but that is not recommended.

Did you ask in the pudding thread? I'm pretty sure all this is covered there.

I believe a fuse is burned once you unlock the bootloader and the process is irreversible. Sorry

I had to return my atrix to warenty due to the digitizer. I just pluged my atrix up an ran the software updter from motos website. It remov3d the unlock from my device. It is actually simple to do

I did the same thing this week and sent my phone back to att for a warranty replacement.
That doesn't actually "relock" the device. It just removes the unlocked sign at boot.

I know that the kingroot method doesn't work yet. I am wondering if anyone found a different method to root. My bootloader is unlocked through the developers options
OEM Unlocking in the Developer options doesn't unlock the bootloader on these phones. That option is mainly for Nexus phones.
We already have a root discussion thread

So the OEM unlock bootloader doesn't do what it says?

I have a VZW HTC 10 that is unlocked S-Off using Sunshine. Does anyone know if I can use the HTC RUU 1.96.617.2 from htc.com/us/support/htc-10/news/ or will this make my phone unusable on VZW create a brick or make it so I'm unable to unlock it again using Sunshine?

I figured out what I needed to do with some help from JCase, Beaups and your archives Thank you for your work by the way. It did what I was intending to pass SafetyNet unfortunately can't find a way to re root without triggering detection again Not sure what it's looking at but it doesn't see the root after using root switch just fails the CTS Profile.
Hello, I just bought an HTC 10 from someone, its unlocked,S-off, and rooted. Currently running NuSense 7.0 with no issues. ATT installed my nano sim, set up APNs and I get 4gLTE. Question is..can I also run US unlocked roms as well?!? Change firmware and/or radios?! If not, could someone direct me in what and how to do it being I'm on ATT?! Thank you for your time.

Yeah you can fully convert to unlocked ruu and then run unlocked based roms. In fact it would probably be better in your case.

By the way. The 10 I bought is Verizon branded. Is this still possible to RUU to US Unlocked? I forgot to mention that. Thanks.

The At& t model doesn't have the OEM Unlocking option in Developer Options.....Which means, our Bootloader is not unlockable (and may never be).
