Boot into TWRP? - Huawei Mediapad M3 Questions & Answers

Does anyone know how I can reboot into TWRP. I updated to v5 and cant get back into the dam twrp to flash root... Cant boot into twrp the normal way without root.

Not sure how I did it but I got in. Pushed buttons until it worked lol.

mediapad m3 button controls - all of these are from the completely turned off state, using fastboot or twrp require the device to be unlocked first.
1) Huawei eRecovery -- while plugged in, hold volume up then press power until tablet starts, keep holding volume up until eRecovery starts
2) boot to twrp (if installed) -- while unplugged, hold volume up then press power until tablet starts, keep holding volume up until twrp begins
3) boot to fastboot (ie to install twrp) -- while plugged in, hold volume down then press power, keep holding both until fastboot begins
4) trigger emui update from dload folder (ie to upgrade to new version from a firmware finder download)-- while unplugged, hold volume up and volume down, then press power until tablet starts, keep holding volume up and down until emui update starts.

Honor 7 button combinations clarified

When you're messing around with hacking your Honor 7, it's actually very difficult to brick. Believe me, I've tried! But it is easy to get in a situation where, if you don't know the relevant key combos, you can get a bit stuck.
To help avoid this, I'm clarifying the key combos for our devices below. The key thing to note is that the keys can behave differently depending on whether you have a cable to a computer*plugged in or not.
No cable plugged in:
Volume down + tap power button: Normal boot
Volume up + tap power button: Recovery mode (reboot / factory reset / wipe cache options or TWRP if flashed)
Both volume buttons + tap power button:*Flash dload image from microSD card
Connected to a computer:
Volume down + Power on: Fastboot mode (exit with 'fastboot reboot' or a long power button press)
Volume up + Power on: Huawei eRecovery (reboot / download / shutdown options - used for 'recovery loop' fix, see below)
Both volume buttons + Power on:*Flash image via HiSuite (NOT from microSD card)
The key one here is the 'both buttons' combo. When you get your device very broken, the restore method of choice is to use a microSD with a dload folder. Based on the above, remember you need to do the both buttons combo WITHOUT a cable plugged in, or it will try and use HiSuite instead of the card.
Lots of people have noted that when using TWRP, the device can get into a continuous recovery loop. The fix for this is actually very easy - go into eRecovery (volume up and power on when connected to a computer) and select 'Shutdown'. When you then power the device on, it will boot normally instead of booting to recovery.
One final thing - when flashing from microSD, be VERY careful. Flashing a Lollipop image over Marshmallow without using the rollback image can make bad things happen, wherever possible try and flash a full image that matches the build you are using.
Hope this is helpful!

How to access Recover-Mode on final Oreo?

Hello there,
got the final android oreo update today on my TA-1021 (Germany).
Now i cant acces the recovery anymore!?!
At Android Nougat it was:
1. connect to charger
2. press and hold volume down and power button.
3. then release power button and keep pressing volume down.
4. now i'm into recovery
Now i stuck into dowload mode with this method.
Is there a way without using adb?
Thanks a lot.
Edit:
Did it now through adb.
Maybe there will be a solution in the future.

Power off your device
Connect your device to charger
When you see battery charging animation
Press and hold volume up and power key together
Release power key only not volume up key when you see android logo
After few seconds you will be booted to recovery but wil no command user interface
Dont panic
Hit volume up+power key+home button(fingerprint senser) together for once
You will get the recovery
Tip: dont use any sideloaded into recovery, this will brick your device
Nokia doesn't support sideloaded process
Hit thanks button if you find this useful
Happy flashing
Thank you very very much!!! This method works perfectly!
Thank you! The method also works for me.
Thanks it worked for Nokia 6 TA-1033 !

Im lost

was trying to root my lg stylo 2 Walmart family mobile(t-mobile) and i unlocked the bootloader and installed twrp but it just says no command when i boot into recovery.
Then you didn't flash the recovery properly, it's fairly simple. If you're able to get fastboot (shut off the phone totally, hold Volume Down and plug in the USB cable attached to a computer, it should go into fastboot mode almost instantly, if not then there's an issue someplace).
After that using fastboot with the recovery img file for TWRP:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery (recovery_file).img
Wait, if it says flashing successful then before you do anything else, type the following:
Code:
fastboot reboot (but do NOT press Enter yet)
Get the phone in your hand, still connected to the USB cable, and get your fingers on the Volume Down + Power button but don't put them just yet. Carefully tap the Enter key with a pinky or something to trigger the device reboot, press and hold Volume Down + Power till you see the LG logo, let Power go for a split second (still holding Volume Down) then press Power again and hold it till TWRP loads.
If that doesn't work - and I've done that hundreds of times - there's something going on with your device, perhaps the bootloader isn't truly unlocked - that checkbox in Developer Options doesn't mean it's unlocked, it just means it can be.

Root not working on One UI 3

Has anyone managed to boot into magisk mode on one ui 3? Power + bixby + vol up doesn't seem to be working anymore.. I also tried with the USB method but still no luck..
Recovery Mode UI 3.0
1. Turn off the device,
2. Connect the phone with a USB cable to the computer,
3. We wait until the screen showing the start of charging and the percentage of the battery appears,
4. Press the Volume + button and then the power button and hold both buttons until the device turns on -For older devices, such as Galaxy S10, it is required to hold the Volume +, Bixby and power buttons

I can enter recovery mode just fine, the problem is that I'm not being able to boot into root (magisk) mode anymore after the update. Vol up + bixby + power (and USB) is only taking me to recovery mode now.
So far TWRP doesn't support android 11. Maybe the next version will support it.
I'm in the exact situation. I think nobody understood the question. He wants to boot into MAGISK MODE (Root) which some time ago it was made by pressing vol + + bixby a couple of seconds then releasing both buttons at the same time.
Now with UI3 we are left with recovery using USB cable or normal mode but no MAGISK.

Fix bootloop Galaxy Tab A 10.1 [SM-T510]

Hi, my device is boot-looping forever. I cannot enter recovery (I have TWRP installed). I cannot even switch it off.
What I have tried:
- normal switch off through power button (device is not switching off). It always restarts itself
- reboot to recovery (Power + Vol Up)
- reboot to bootloader (Power + Vol Down)
- force hard reset (Power + Vol Down for 7 seconds, then Power + Volume Up)
None is working.
Can I enter the recovery, maybe issuing some commands from a computer?
Any other option I could try?
Thanks!

No, the PC won't help. The trick is to hold power and vol down and as soon as the screen blanks, switch from VOL down to up, while keeping power button pressed. You have to be quick when switching or it will just bootloop again. And the cable shouldn't be plugged in.
Thanks, this helped. I recovered from the bootloop.
Hi, I'm stuck in bootloop too. The fix above isn't working for me. Could somebody discribe the process a bit differently please? Maybe I'm doing it wrong? What exactly is the time to switch from volume down to up?
My bootloop shows the Samsung logo then a warning about unlocked bootloader with prompt to press power and then the Samsung bootlogo again. Inbetween the screen turns of for a few seconds.
I was able to go to download mode by connecting the tablet to my pc and pressing vol + and - at the same time. Then I installed the nexus rom by Magendanz. Made a factory reset and format data in twrp. Everything is fine now.
