Hello. I have recently installed RocateX v6 and I'm trying to get ViperFX to work. Magisk Manager says magisk is installed, phone is rooted, but I can't install modules, even in TWRP, which says Magisk isn't installed. Any ideas?

I am running NBD91K build, but every time I flash supersu, it sends my phone into a bootloop. I am running the latest TWRP and tried SuperSu 2.78 SR5. Anyone having the same problem?

Are you using suhide by any chance?
I've been stuck at bootloop when i tried to force system (not systemless) root on nougat. So my first thought was to delete /data/.supersu... then I've managed to reinstall root systemlessly, but after a few tries it stayed on the bootloop.... I had to reflash system.img and then I flashed the supersu once again and it works like magic.
Yes, I am using suhide

Suhide does not work with 7.0+ roms with the November security patch. You need to flash the suhide Uninstaller and just use supersu
You're right, unintalling suhide and I can boot my phone after rooting, thanks. Too bad suhide doesn't work with the november patch, otherwise I can't get android pay working.

Ensure that you have uninstalled SuperSU prior to flashing Magisk v9 and phh Superuser.
After, install Magisk Manager apk posted on its thread and phh Superuser manager & SafetyNet Helper from playstore.
You can then hide Magisk from SafetyNet within Magisk Manager setting. Run SafetyNet Helper to test whether you pass the SafetyNet check or not. If everything is passed, then you should be able to use Android Pay & Pokemon Go .

Hello,
i wanna hide root (because of Super Mario Run) and tried to install Magisk, but i get an installation error.
I have no idea if Magisk uses the correct partition, i also tried the boot0/boot1 partition, but no luck.
My P9 lite is running Nougat (VNS-L31C432B370)
Did anyone succeed in installing Magisk on the P9 lite? Or are there any other "hide root" apps i could try?
Thanks!
In my b371 works fine.
I installed magisk from play store and at the first start it asks to install itself in boot partiton.
i can't even install it in recovery, the phone justs reboots during installation.
how did you root? what kernel are you using? i'm using elite-kernel v3 for 370
i assume you're using phh's SuperUser?
well, maybe i give the 371 update a try...
I use elite-kernel. I rooted simply installing phh su from play store. Then I installed magisk from play store and it auto flash itself the zip. It works. Try

I follow your steps, but it gives me installation error. In which block have you installed mmcblk0p28? What recovery do you use?
Thank you
This recovery https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...ecovery-twrp-3-0-2-android-nougat-03-t3511937
The partition is autodetected mmcblk0p28
Try to set selinux to permissive
It seems that everything is correct. But it does not hide the root, it does not pass safety net.

@gvalro
i get "CTS profile mismatch"
Don't care, Super Mario Run works fine now with root enabled.
edit: naaah, the game crashes at some point, guess there's no perfect solution except unrooting your phone

For phh Superuser just install the app and activate superuser.
For MagiskSU you need to flash Magiskv12.0.zip in TWRP, then install the Magisk App from the Play Store. (It sometimes works the other way aound: install Magisk app and choose magiskify from within the app and it will flash the zip by itself.)
Good luck.

Yes. If that doesn't work (sometimes it doesn't), just boot into TWRP and manually flash the Magisk12 zip. It's located in /sdcard/Magisk Manager.

It's very simple, just download trwp 3.1.0-2 for nogat from xda forum p9 lite and flash by any tool. Next you root your phone from trwp menu. You need super su 2.79 for p9 lite nougat. All files are in xda forum.

Can confirm it works. Install module and reboot. Open Viper4Android, install driver and reboot.
Working fine right after.

I have tried the magisk module and it is not working properly. It freezes up trying to install the driver and then it does not show that it is processing. Once I restart the device it tells me I need to install the driver again which freezes up and then does not work. I have installed it about five times now with no luck. It really really needs to be updated

Hi, on my previous device, I experienced this and, either upgraded the apk, or downgraded the apk by uninstalling (magisk apk), reinstalling older version, & reboot. You can find all the released apks on APKMirror. I'm personally using the EXOS magisk ROM, which has options for viper and Dolby Atmos(w/ EQ), with the module Audio Modification Library.
Just flash the 2.7.1.6 zip on magisk manager, reboot , open viper, install the drivers , reboot , done..

Is yours working ok via the EXOS rom? I also have that installed but Viper won't process unless I have "Attach audio effects" toggled on in settings. On other phones, I've had to toggle this on and off right after and it would work, but with current setup, I have to leave it on for it to work. That may be causing problems with it not processing using youtube for me.
Do you have installed audio modification library?
Is viper4android working on the lastest OTA and magisk?
