1.let it laying down and receive a call....pick it up and see if you hear the call.
2. depending on the result, repeat with holding.
3.did you try 'antistatic,' gloves?...'

Anyone had connection problem with their note???

Hi guys, Bought my Galaxy Note N7000 3weeks ago and to be honest i've not been using it that much until this week.
The problem I've been having is when i make a phone call around 5mins later it starts to crackle for a few secs (the sound when you only have 1 bar of signal) and the actual signal strength is showing full. But anyways sometimes when am on the phone for around 10mins it just goes blank (can't hear nothing) Then picks back up again.
Don't really know if the phone is faulty? at first i thought it was the ear piece speaker, untill i switch it to the loud speaker and it still crackles.
Do you think it's a software problem?
Or a network problem (its been like this for a few days now)
Or the phone? don't really want to send it back to o2 cause it'll take around 28days before i get it back.
Try update your firmware to the latest one. Check via kies

Thanks for the quick reply, But just checked and i've got the latest software ver.
Is it network locked phone?? if not try with different SIM.
Try change the radio. See development thread under radio

Always problems with phone calls....

Hey everyone,
I have a regular GS4 and haven't changed anything, stock firmware, stock rom, not rooted. So I have the problem when I have a phone call, after like 1 minute the person on the other side can't hear me anymore for like 3-4 seconds and this repeats every 3-5 minutes. First I thought its because I was in a building, but this happens everywhere and also with full signal strength.....so what is the problem?
Everything else works fine, but this is realy annoying because this is really on every call.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Strange problem, maybe it's network related? Try flashing another modem. Google modems for your model of Gs4

Please... DO NOT flash anything... Check if Your problem persist with Your SIM and another phone and Your phone and another SIM (from different network). If it's phone related - go to service and do not play with modems as it won't probably change anything.
Actually, yes. As slig said, if your phone isn't rooted then it's best to take it to your carrier or to samsung under warranty.

[Q] Serious Signal (3G/LTE) problem (keeps loosing signal)

some background info.
I ran stock room for 3 weeks, then one morning the signal kept dying on me. it would turn on for 2 minutes then loose signal again. and they it got so bad that i couldn't even make a phone call.
so i did following:
* Reinstall room (using the settings option, and factory reset)
(still same problem)
* change new simcard
(same problem)
* then finally i sent it into service.
It came back working with stock room of course)
work done when it was in service (just a hard reset with computer, tested OK)
it now worked fine for a week, then i rooted, and flashed a G-flex room.
still works fine for 5 days.
THEN today the same damn thing happens again.
the signal drops in and out every 5 seconds, the phone gets insanely hot, and the battery drains insanely fast.
what i'v tried so far.
*Whipe dalvik cache and fix permissions.
*flash new modems. (two modems)
still same problem.
I really REALLY don't want to send it back in for another 4 weeks at the service.
Do you guys have this problem? i tried looking on google for people with same issue but nothing that relates to my model number: D_802.
can you guys helps me out?
I have the ls980 variant and get horrible reception after root. Replaced the phone and all was perfect until I rooted. Went back to stock but issue persists. Going to try and reload SW again and see what happens.

[Q] Is There An Update Coming Soon For Galaxy S5 Verizon?

I have the Galaxy S5 with model# SM-G900V and it is serviced by Verizon. My phone currently has Kitkat 4.4.2 on it and I have tried to check for version updates and nothing yet, it says I'm up to date. In the month that I have had this phone I have been experiencing drop calls, network speed bouncing around from 4G LTE to 3G and back then down to 1X sometimes I have to restart my phone to get my network speed back to 4G LTE, also when I press the home button sometimes to wake up my phone the screen stays black but the light up touch buttons at the bottom next to the home button light up. I have to press the power button once or twice to get the screen to light up. Are these common problems for the S5 or is my device defective and needs to be replaced?
I have no problems at all with mine.

Thats not normal. Boot into stock revocery and wipe the phone or take it back. Mine never did that. Only problems were a few apps crashing from rooting it and playing with settings. Stock wise no call drop outs or dcing data unless its my provider optus being crappy.
The phone for me is running as stable as a pc haha so good!
