Bluetooth question - LG V20 Questions & Answers

New to the thread here, if this has been asked before I apologize, hut here goes. I drive a truck otr and have my phone connected via Bluetooth to both my radio and a Bluetooth headset. I was wondering if there is a way to play music over the radio while in a call on the headset? I know it will play music in the headset while on a call, but I'd rather it in the radio.

Well poo

Are you listening to music on the headset and wanting it to jump to the stereo while on a call, and then back again, once the call had ended?
Or do you just want music routed to the stereo and calls to the headset? If it's the latter, that's doable.
Just go into your Bluetooth settings and configure each device (gear next to each?). Enable call audio on headset, media on the stereo. Works great. Hope this helps!

XDA II with bluetooth headset

I have my bluetooth headset working when i receive or make calls. But question is, is there a way to use to with voicedial to make a call, and can I use it to listen to media player as well?
not possible in XDA II to my knowlege.
i think listen music is possible, but viocesdial ... i 'am not sure
I tryied several times. no success voice dialing, but I think you can listen to music indeed.
how do you listen to music thru a single ear bluetooth headset? I'm not talking about A2DP stereo bluetooth earphones, i'm talking about the single ear handsfree headsets you can buy from phone shops.
Music streaming via 1-ear bluetooth headset
I have 1-sided bluetooth headset, Jabra BT135.
I checked their website & found out that these 1-sided or 1-ear headset doesn't do music streaming
Meaning, it's exclusive to phone calls only.
You must be looking for the other kind of bluetooth headphone that supports streaming, but doesn't let you talk on the phone.
It's the other way around.
But not all bluetooth headphones support Himalaya, considering its bluetooth radio version.
Himalaya's bluetooth radio version is 1 to 1.17, & most bluetooth headphones now run version 2.0, unfortunately

Piping sound output to bluetooth headset?

I am not entirely sure if this is possible but I want to make my bluetooth headset my headphone as well (instead of plugging in the wired handsfree which I got with my unit). The purpose? mostly to use SKYPE for LD calls - skype does not seem to have an option to send to BT headset. (I also want to listen to music on my BT handsfree but that it another issue - less important)
Any ideas?
You cannot listen sound over BT. Only phone calls can be routed to headset.
this isnt actually true, i managed to get all sound to run over my BT headset on my alpine the other day and was able to listen to mp3s over my jabra 250v but as of yet i cant work out how i did it, thats how i stumbled accross this thread

A2DP - How to use a bug as a Feature ?

Hi all,
I have a MDA Vario with QTek 2.18.7.7 GER ROM.
I have installed the A2DP AddOn and the following "bug".
I use the Parrot CK3100 handfree carkit - it don't support A2DP !
i have no option "Use as Wireless Stereo" with CK3100 in my PDA BT Settings.
If i start a call over the handfree car-kit and abort it during the dial progress then ALL my PDA Sounds goes over my Car Speakers and radio goes to mute - i hear for example the voice from my Navigation System and then the radio goes mute, after it, radio goes back from mute.
This is a great bug
My problem is now:
If i get a call or i start a call and if i hangup after then all Sounds goes only over PDA again and only phone calls goes over the handfree car-kit.
Only after a Softreset and with the "Dial and direct hangup trick" i get all sound over the car-kit again with correct "Radio Mute".
Can someone from this great peoples here make something that i everytime get all my sounds over the car-kit with correct "Radio Mute" ?
I don't use the BTAudio Tool because if i start it, my radio is already in mute and i can't here music.
With this nice "bug" the radio goes only in mute if there come a sound from PDA.
Please help - i need this "bug" as feature
BTaudiotoggle is your answer... but if I'm not mistaken it's 11khz so if you plan on streaming music it will disappoint you.

I can't here any music on my car-radio with btaudio toggle.
Well... I tried it once and it did work with a parrot 3000evo.
The device was normally connected and from the moment that I started btaudiotoggle the stereo would be muted and show 'phone' just like in a call. Then just starting a mp3 player would make the sound go over the radio speakers...

Yes, but i don't want hear music over PDA, i want hear music over
my radio/cd-player.
And after the first phone call this "bug" won't work until i do an Softreset.
ehm.. I'm getting confused
you want to use your 9100 as a mp3 player in the car connected to your car-radio/speakers through bluetooth with the parrot carkit doing the acctual BT connect, right?
if so, this worked for me with BT audiotoggle but the quality was horrible.
If not, then please excuse me for keeping us busy with nothing

Hmm, now i see the Menu "set as wireless stereo" but it is grayed (disabled).
That's because your car kit doesn't support a2dp or stereo BT. I have the same problem with my HS850.
IT WORKS IT WORKS.
I don't know why, but it works.
If i use bt touggle tool my car-radio goes only to mute if any sound comes over PDA.
It is not everytime in mute
Perhaps it is the A2DP Patch - i don't know.

You paired them right?
--M
yup, all paired, i useit normally for calls and everything, but i wanted to c if i could play music and use the cars speaker system as "bluetooth headset" and play my music =D
I don't have a BT stereo headset, so I dunno if I'm talking out of my ass here, but I wonder if this would work. Its what I use to listen to podcasts on my BT handsfree.
hmm, strange, wen i turn on the app, no sound comes from the car, turn it off and the sound is normal from speakers of the phone =S
need playing around with?
it may be possible that the built in BT in the lexus might not support it!

The Lexus doesn't use A2DP (because it's NOT a stereo headset) but the standard headset mode.
Please DO read / follow my articles, ALL of them are cross-posted to the General forum here. In there, I've also posted a full article on all these questions. Read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=281977 and look for the Wizard-specific comments there.

Use Jawbone Bluetooth to listen to music???

I was wondering if there was a way to make my EVO play music through my Jawbone Bluetooth headset? I like to listen to Pandora Radio and it would be nice to get it to play though my headset!
Thanks!
I have no problem listening to Slacker radio through my Jawbone Icon. I installed the Jawbone A2DP upgrade.
I have the icon as well but cant figure it out! Do I need to install something on the EVO?

Nevermind, I got it working after going to the Jawbone site and doing the update... Works pretty good and has great sound!
evo doesn't work with icon
I have an evo and a new jawbone icon with updated A2DP installed, but can't get it to play music over the icon unless I'm engaged in a phone conversation. How can I get it to play? I have re-booted and re-paired it many times. I found another post complaining of the same thing. Did you actually get it to play over the icon from an evo? email me with instructions. Jawbone tech support was not able to help because they had not tested it on an evo.
I don't have the icon myself, but if applying the A2DP update makes it the same as any other A2DP headset, you might want to go to settings > wireless & networks > bluetooth settings, then go down to bluetooth devices and hold down the entry for the icon, then select options. If its like any other A2DP headset there should be checkboxes for Phone as well as audio, as phone calls and A2DP are different streams and updating the icon to include A2DP after you've already paired may not have refreshed the available services that are seen by the phone.
Yes, I am using the Icon and Evo to listen to Pandora. Make sure to delete your current paired Icon. When it repairs it shoud show it as a actual headphone headset symbol on the phone instead of the ear piece only. Once connected it should automatically play through the Icon. If not I would retry updating the A2DP, perhaps it didnt work...
Thanks for Jawbone A2DP Info
I'm still using Hero but linger on EVO forum, happy I did for the jawbone update!
how do you switch between the music coming out of the bluetooth and the speaker with the Bluetooth connected?
You can't... You have to turn off bluetooth before the speakers will work.

Great suggestion... thank you. I un-paired the icon, then re-installed the A2DP software, re-paired it, and it worked! It must not have properly installed the first time. Thanks for you help!
Thanks for the suggestion. I re-installed the A2DP software and then it worked.
