Piping sound output to bluetooth headset? - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

I am not entirely sure if this is possible but I want to make my bluetooth headset my headphone as well (instead of plugging in the wired handsfree which I got with my unit). The purpose? mostly to use SKYPE for LD calls - skype does not seem to have an option to send to BT headset. (I also want to listen to music on my BT handsfree but that it another issue - less important)
Any ideas?

You cannot listen sound over BT. Only phone calls can be routed to headset.

this isnt actually true, i managed to get all sound to run over my BT headset on my alpine the other day and was able to listen to mp3s over my jabra 250v but as of yet i cant work out how i did it, thats how i stumbled accross this thread

XDA II with bluetooth headset

I have my bluetooth headset working when i receive or make calls. But question is, is there a way to use to with voicedial to make a call, and can I use it to listen to media player as well?
not possible in XDA II to my knowlege.
i think listen music is possible, but viocesdial ... i 'am not sure
I tryied several times. no success voice dialing, but I think you can listen to music indeed.
how do you listen to music thru a single ear bluetooth headset? I'm not talking about A2DP stereo bluetooth earphones, i'm talking about the single ear handsfree headsets you can buy from phone shops.
Music streaming via 1-ear bluetooth headset
I have 1-sided bluetooth headset, Jabra BT135.
I checked their website & found out that these 1-sided or 1-ear headset doesn't do music streaming
Meaning, it's exclusive to phone calls only.
You must be looking for the other kind of bluetooth headphone that supports streaming, but doesn't let you talk on the phone.
It's the other way around.
But not all bluetooth headphones support Himalaya, considering its bluetooth radio version.
Himalaya's bluetooth radio version is 1 to 1.17, & most bluetooth headphones now run version 2.0, unfortunately

Question about Bluetooth earpiece/headset/A2Dp

Is there any bluetooh headset on the market that can support A2DP (or work as a speaker), but is look like a normal headset, I do not mind it's mono.
The closest to what I want is the itech R35, but i do not want to have to plug in the headphone, I just one those headset that hang on the ear.
CAn any one help please?

Bluetooth headset problem

I just bought a headset for my Atom Exec and I can't work it all out, I want to listen to music from the memory card so I have set the bluetooth to Hands Free, Wireless Stereo and headset, all three are ticked. All is working fine but the only problem I have is when the phone rings you can only here it through the stereo headphones which makes sence but I can see this causing problems if I put the headphones down, I will miss calls as I want hear the phone ringing. Is there a way to make the phone ring also threw the speaker on the phone as well while using the headphones?
Unfortunately I don't think so. If you turn the Stereo Headset profile on all sound is routed to the headset. If someone knows how it would be great.
What you can do instead is set the phone to vibra + ring mode so that if you don't have the headset on, at least the phone will still shake.
hi Seal,
which bluetooth headset did you get? i'm asking because i just got the atom (not exec) and can't get the BT to work as a wireless headset - it only works when making calls.
also, you mentioned 'wireless stereo' checkbox, i don't see this option in the atom but it could be an exec feature.
thanks.
Hi, I bought the Plantronics, I use them every day and love them, it is such a great thing to not have wires hanging around.

"I has an Atom", and I also have a mono, ordinary Bluetooth headset (Planex BT-03HS).
Seal: try turning off the Wireless Stereo profile, then getting this program called BlueMusic by Teksoft - it has an option you can uncheck that will allow the ringtone to come through its original source instead, while still routing music through your BT.
Yes, the program can do this even in unlimited trial mode - however, it only puts your music back on the BT band after a call in full-mode. I have no idea if this will work on stereo headphones like yours, but it's worth a shot.
Slamming_Sammy: With BlueMusic I can pipe stuff from TCPMP to bluetooth headset - which supports only handsfree - just fine, whilst still not missing a call. BlueMusic emulates the A2DP protocol so your phone doesn't have to. There's actually a free binary out there called BTAudio (which Bluemusic is based on), but its less stable than Bluemusic when it comes to disconnects and receiving calls.
Oh, and by the way, the Atom does support Wireless Stereo (A2DP). However, you can ONLY see it if your bluetooth headset has the profile as well (mine doesn't by the way). AFAIK only stereo headsets have this; even the newest BT2.0 mono headsets don't.
thanks a lot Ultimate. I was just about to try btaudio which by the way, works great, so I won't try bluemusic yet. so you're saying if my BT headphone is A2DP capable then I wouldn't need to run btaudio to route audio to my headset?
thanks.
Yes, that's what I'm saying.
Bluetooth stereo headsets are expensive, tho, AND the Atom is known to have dodgy A2DP support (except with BT2.0 devices), so you might want to hold out on the purchase.

A2DP together with Bluetooth headset

I’m running the official HTC (Dutch) Windows Mobile 6 version on the HTC X7500.
I’m using a Motorola HT820 Stereo Bluetooth headset to listen to music by A2DP.
I’m using a Jabra BT5010 Bluetooth headset for voice calls.
Voicecalls with the BT5010 are no problem at all. Listening to music with the Motorola headset is no problem too, when the Jabra IS NOT connected (turned off) at the same time.
The Motorola stereo headset and the Jabra BT5010 can both be connected at the same time, they are even working (I can call with the Jabra and listen to music with the Motorola) but now and then the stereo music is lagging.
When it starts lagging in stereo audio playback it doesn’t seem to stop anymore. Sometimes the music continues the normal way, and sometimes the lags will come up again a few seconds later.
There are no more lags when I then shut down the Jabra headset.
Is there a way to solve this? It looks like some sort of “Bluetooth bandwith” issue since it only happens when both headsets are connected.
Please note that even though the Motorola HT820 can make voice calls too, I only checked the “Wireless Stereo” service to be used, and “Wireless headset” is only selected for the Jabra.
Adding/editing registry entries like BitPool, UseJointStereo, MaxBitPool, SampleRate and all WILL NOT resolve this problem, I’ve already tried that.
Thanks guys!!

is there a way to listen to music from my bluetooth headset

Hey guys
I know this will sound as a silly question, but is there a way for me to enjoy listening to my music through my bluetooth headset?
Thanks
What do u mean?! HD supports A2DP, so yes technically u should be able to...
how do I do that then ?
thanks for your help
Turn on bluetooth and pair it with your headset. Also, make sure you have beam activated
You have to have a Stereo Bluetooth Headset. Google it if you don't know what one is.
Search for "BT Audio". works on the HD.
use acbtoogglebt
use ACBtoogleBT

works great even if u do not have stereo bluetooth. It sends all speaker sounds to headphone.
Be aware tough that this mode switches off once call is received and BT headset becomes normal so U have to toggle it again. If you are in the middle of watching movie you have to restart the movie programme to get the sound over headset.
But works great. I use it to watch TV serial and podcast while walking my DOG everynight
Blutooth Sterio Headphone
There are many Blutooth head sets which are large. If you want a regular sleek Blutooth handsfree you may try Plantronics Voyager 855. It is a small Blutooth handsfree with an ear stud which can be converted into a blutooth sterio head set by attaching a small chord with ear stud to the other ear. It works well. Steri quality is good.
