Is there a flashable radio for the device? - Lenovo A6000/Plus Questions & Answers

Hello. As I asked above, I wanna know if there are any radios to flash made for the device. I am using RR 7.1.2, if that matters.
Radios specifically made for having a better GPS signal, or just one that makes it have a better signal.
Thank you.

Any issues with flashing new radios with older android os?

Im using stock rom with android 2.2
I heard that the newer radios that comes with 1.72 update gives better signal strength and battery performance.
Just wondering, will there be any issues if I continue using an old rom, and flashed to new radios (like the 1.72 ones, and future radios)?
Thanks

just take note of your current radio, after you flash the new one, if there is any issues (which i dont think they will be) you can always flash back to the one you had before

Worse cell signal on custom roms?

Hi.
I've run a custom rom on my XT1575 for most of the time I've had it. However recently tried TruePure on it (based on stock), and am experiencing MUCH better cell signal. Furthermore, the WIFI is worse on custom roms versus truepure and stock as well.
My question is ... are other roms using different drivers? Why does stock based roms have better general connectivity than other roms? Do they not all use the same drivers?

T mobile H918 V20 ROM recommendations..

Hi all. Just looking for a ROM recommendation as I'm new to the V20. So far am using the NRD90M Modded NotSoStock ROM v6.5 3/12/17, and its awesome. I love how everything is working.
Just interested in exploring options. I need wi-fi calling to work (only absolute requirement) and love the stock camera so I guess I'm looking for stock based ROMs preferentially.
I mean no disrespect to devs and that's why I posted this in a separate thread, out of the ROM/development area, etc.
Would you tell me the ROM you like and what about it you really like, enjoy, etc? Thanks again all! :good:

Recommendation for a stable Marshmallow ROM with a few features please.

I know these ROM request threads are posted and I apologize for not having found the answer myself. :/
I'm currently using AICP_Clark_lp-10.0-NIGHTLY-20151124 (Android 5.1.1) on my XT1575 and just need a newer ROM for a variety of reasons I'm sure.
I'm not sure what advantages Marshmallow has to Lollipop but I've heard updates to LTE on the Moto X Pure were pushed out at some point by Motorola (and I have terrible reception by my house). I'm also hoping to improve battery life.
-I want to continue using Xposed framework (which I think I can do on Marshmallow).
-Stable camera, bluetooth, wifi, etc (obviously)
-Notification light behind top speaker. I have this on my current ROM (AICP_Clark_lp-10.0-NIGHTLY-20151124) so I hope it exists on newer ones.
-Magisk or something similar for root. I'm currently using superSU and would like to be able to hide root from certain apps (Pokemon GO).
I'm using StraightTalk via AT&T (and like I said, am having terrible LTE issues and all around terrible reception in rural areas near walls...? I'm really not sure what the issue is).
Thanks for the suggestions.
Since you are on Lollipop, you should first go back to stock Marshmallow and get up to a version with a security patch up towards the end of 2016... This will get you on the correct bootloader, partition table, and radios, after that just flash the latest TWRP and the ROM of your choice... The radios in Marshmallow are much better than Lollipop, but as far as battery goes you won't see any real difference regardless of ROM or Android version, the screen often takes 70+% of the battery of this device and that is just the way it is, no software change will effect that.
To be honest, most custom ROM's do not support Xposed except stock, so stay simple like the a version of CM13 or the last version of Marshmallow Dirty Unicorns, but most Marshmallow ROMs for the X are extremely stable and solid. Note many Marshmallow ROMs are not being developed or even maintained anymore either, but almost all will provide the few requirements you have.

looking for custom rom

So according to you, which is the best & stable custom rom for Moto G5+? and which rom you are currently using?

It's really astonishing that every week a thread with that question pops up here, I think at the moment we have three or four of these. Why has everyone to open a new thread to ask a question that can't be answered?
The only valid answer is: Try them out.
There is no "best" custom ROM, if there would be one we only needed that, all other ROMs would be obsolete.
But to give you a direction:
Imho the stock ROM is the best in terms of battery and performance.
All Oreo ROMs have bugs, some just small ones, others bigger ones. Examples are camera, video recording or high battery consumption.
Also there are some big problems if you want to return to stock, losing voLTE, losing 4G or IMEI are well known in this forum.
I wouldn't flash any Oreo ROM before Lenovo releases stock Oreo, the bugs can be sorted out and there will be safe ways to return to stock if you wish.
If you still want to flash a custom ROM Aosp Extended 4.6 based on Nougat is a good one but don't forget to make a nandroid backup before you flash anything.
This is only my personal opinion, as written above to find "your" best ROM you'll have to test them.
