Alright..
I've been using Moto G4 Plus from a long time, when I bought it from Amazon.in, I wasn't received a turbo charger at the times, then after months my brother bought G4 Plus from Amazon.in, this time he has received with turbo charger, here is my real-time analysis, he got screen burn issue with in 3 months, but I didn't, even after a year, I was using normal charger only ...
I've been witnessing this screen burn issue was occurring to those who are using Speed / Turbo / Rapid chargers.
Now I'm upgraded to G5 Plus and using the normal charger only, I won't use turbo one anymore.. ???
Please lemme know if I'm wrong..

Lol...thats dumb? most of the phones comes with turbo charger now....

You need to define what you mean by screen burn first?? The guy who said turbo charger causes screen burn

Screen burn in only happens in OLED screens and not in lcd. So no our screens wont have burn in issue. BTW turbo charging isnt no where related to "burn-in" but yes battery life would deplete faster.

That's what i thought but in moto G5 plus forums some guys are reporting screen burn issue

Oh no. Screen calibration issue.

So my main complaint about the nexus 1 was the crazy digitizer. I am sitting here playing pocket legends and all of a sudden my screen starts going crazy just like on the nexus 1. I ran screen test toolkit and on the trace test i got sharp vertical lines that shot out from where my finger was tracing. I did have the phone plugged in at the time and since unplugging it seems to have gone away but the is reason enough to concern. Anyone else had this issue? May just take my phone back and get a replacement just in case.
Update: as much as I feel like a bonehead for admitting this I found the culprit. Apparently the charger i was using is not playing nice with the nexus s. It is the same charger i use for my nexus 1 an apparently it has a different power output that the nexus s doesn't like very much. Hope my mistake will help others.
I tried charging over USB at a friend's house on his dinosaur iMac, the screen started acting completely screwy as well.
this is really an intresting behavior. i didnt know a scren could do such a thing in different charger.. . live and learn
yea, why does this do this? I wonder can it be fixed with software
Why would you even try to charge it with something else since a wall charger came with it.
Because you can charge an Android phone via USB cable?
That's I think an official feature of Android.
And it MUST WORK WELL!
If not, then it is a bug in the software or hardware
I read a lot about this reports, anyone post into Google official forum?

i think you need to check other phones. as far as i know charging from usb less amp than the wall. so it shouldnt show any weird calibration issues or flicker. double check man

Yes, max amp from USB is 0.5A. Typical output for smartphone chargers is 1A. But this shouldnt be a problem, and also less amp means longer batterylife on the long run cause it doesnt stresses battery as much.

I think it's because the touchscreen on the NS seems to be more sensitive than most phones (I can get it to register input without even touching the screen sometimes) that it gets disrupted by other sources of electrical conductivity... such as the charger. Mine is ok, never really tried with the charger plugged in though. I ran multitouch visible test and I was satisfied with the tracking, it's the same if not better than the Vibrant's, which can handle 5 simultaneous inputs.

Different charger matters !

In some of the post i had read that touch sensitivity is affected largely when charging the note.I was wondering how mine works smooth without any problem ?
But once i connected galaxy s's charger to note and it influenced the note sensitivity, some touches dint get recognised, too much lag, slow......
When connected back to original charger, was working fine again.
So to summarize, original Note charger doesn't cause any problem with note, but if you connect other android charger to it, it affects touch sensitivity.
I am using an LG adapter since the original that came with Note has a hissing sound when not in charge, and its working fine with no probs.
My charger is the opposite. My Note charger is so bad that when my morning alarm goes off I have to unplug the phone because it doesn't recognise my finger sliding across the screen. I am now using my old iphone charger which is perfect.
To find which was the best I tested them all plugged in individually and used the touch and s-pen tests using the *#0*# test screen.
I tested quite a few various usb chargers that I had around the house and all had different results.
I have encountered this issue with the original charger too. not sure if its an issue with the lcd screen because i previously went to the service centre and apparently they told me they changed my lcd screen and it has in fact gotten worse after the servicing.
any idea what my next step should be?
Anyone using a charger that's under the 1A rating as the original has? I have a bunch of 700 mAh Samsung ones and an afraid to use a lower voltage on the the 2500 mAh battery...

What I heard, its normal that touch sensitive got affected, when using the phone, while charging and that's one of the flaw with AMOLED screens.
Maybe someone can confirm it?

they all deliver the same voltage (5V). the Mah rating just changes how fast it charges up.
PANTS !!!!!
The note behaves this way with various roms, mainly KL based, with or without usb cable plugged in and regardless of what charger you use.
You should check these things first, hence why KL7 was pulled by samsung.
I'm using my HD2 charger, and it seems okay.
Can any other ex-HD2 users confirm this?
I used and old SGS charger for a while.. And a very small part of the touchscreen became unusable while charging.. With the charger that i got with the Gnote that problem doesnt exist..
I used the Samsung charger that came with my note for awhile but switched back to my original iPhone charger(The bigger one not the small new ones) both worked fine no issues with the screen or anything. Do notice that the Samsung charger gets hot after a full charge and my iPhone charger didn't other than that no issues.

It's not just AMOLED screens, but rather many touch screen smartphones. My Original Droid and my current Droid X both exhibit touch screen abnormalities when plugged in. I have also heard of iPhones exhibiting issues as well. I've heard changing out chargers does help.
I've also been using my iPhone charger and have not expeirenced any problems with the sensitivity of the screen.
I charge my SGN at night.
I have noticed that my Note gets 41 degree Celcius next morning using an SG2 charger.
On the other hand, if I use a third party charger - 23 degree Celcius next morning.
I have been using a 550ma Sony Ericsson charger for a couple of months and i have had no problems, I have never used the htc supplied one.

Moto X wireless charging added internally(and it works!)

My spare Moto X now has 100% working internal wireless charging.
There is an existing thread regarding wireless charging but it has no 100% firm details in it so I thought I would start a new one.
You can see the original here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/accessories/beginning-journey-wireless-charging-t2541433
First off the mod is not for the faint of heart. The soldering isn't actually too bad, ripping the entire phone apart is the ugly part.
I used a charging pad from a Samsung S3 - there are various "qualities" of charging pads, this happens to be a very good one that is slightly flexible. The bad ones crack and break very easily. I trimmed it down as much as possible.
The Moto X is working great, the only thing I haven't tried is the NFC, if it does still work I would expect the range to be even shorter then normal.(I never used it anyway)
I have updated some pictures in case anyone else wants to attempt the mod, all of them taken rather quickly from my second Moto X during the mod process.
The most important is the first picture which is the USB positive connection point.
You can also see the routing I used to get a 30 gauge wire to the back side of the main board.
I trimmed the blue silicone pad to make room for the charging pad.
Sorry the pics aren't as easy to follow as they were originally, I had to upload them here instead of hosting them myself.
And something extra I want to add. The Moto X is very picky about what it will charge from. At times it will charge at full speed, other times it is very very slow. The rhyme and reason are not something I have been able to determine yet.
edit - added a better picture showing the positive connection point.
Wow this is nuts... You may see my moto x at your door requesting this added in

Very neat, but not for me. Good work!

Awesome to hear you got it working mate! Any chance you could rehost the images? I want to see what's involved. Only thing that is keeping me from buying a Moto X is lack of Qi charging.
I have uploaded the pics to XDA. I have to add that the wireless charging is a little odd at times. Sometimes it works great, other times it charges extremely slow. When it charges slow the battery icon will not indicate it is charging however the green LED charging mod will indicate that it is.
I have not yet determined the rhyme or reason for the oddness however others have reported odd charging behavior from the Moto X at times with car chargers etc.

I very occasionally see this on any device I own. Sometimes only a reboot will make the charging time get back to normal. Other times just an unplug and plug in again does it.
No idea why, but it definitely happens.

Not sure what you're referring to. If it is the metal shields they are all on the front side of the mainboard so they face the screen when the phone is assembled. I insulated the connection points to the charging pad with kapton tape so there are no exposed connections.

Official wireless charging pad issue.

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with their wireless charging pad? I put my s5 on the pad at night and when I wake up the orange light is flashing and phone is at around 92%. I assume when the phone hits 100% the charger shuts off and doesn't keep phone charged.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Sometimes the wireless chargers DO take a long time to fully charge the item. IMHO, it is still a new technology, and has leaps and bounds to go before it is perfect. Still in the consumer testing phase?

Hi there, it definitely charges to 100% as I've tested it. However, when it's been sat on the charging pad at 100% for say 30 mins, an orange light starts flashing and the phone is no longer being charged, so my phone is probably 100% charged by say 3 am, but then loses charge. Not sure of this is normal cause if it is then it's a major flaw in the whole wireless charging concept that samsung is implementing.
I do not have this issue but another person on this forum has posted about it. IMO it's a defective pad or receiver

I agree, it is probably defective.
Because they are supposed to stop charging after the device is fully charged. They are programmed to do that. But they are not supposed to lose charge afterwards. I would contact the company you bought it from, and ask to exchange it for a new one.

Phone burned through cable

Has anyone had this before?
My phone burned through the cable I received with it.
http://imgur.com/ZLXNU8E
I tried charging it today, but the charging light didn't turn on. Didn't think much of it, but when I removed it from the charger after 10 minutes, I smelled burned plastic. And part of the cable got stuck in the phone. Had to pry it out with pliers.
Phone doesn't charge anymore, but it still works.
Really glad I noticed it in time, otherwise I could have had a fire on my hands... Was really hot
Sucks pretty hard to be without a phone for the time now.

Yes. I have heard of this.
And it scares the h*ll out of me!
I'm not a fan of fast charging due to this issue. I've seen it happen on other devices as well. Batteries are not meant to charge at such rates. I'd rather have a slower charge personally
This is why whenever I charge my phone, I keep the AC/Cooler/fan on of that room, keeps the phone temp low and helps in faster charging.
Whut? This is actually very concerning....is this a usb type c problem you think? Or does this happen with other phones too?
You should report this to LG
This needs more media attention. I don't think anyone has zeroed in on what's causing it yet. This could happen to all of us for all I know.
Need a response from Google.
Definitely not charging my phone over night anymore, Google and LG need to look into this.

I absolutely adored my galaxy note 2 back in the day, probably would have kept it for another two years had it not burnt to a crisp overnight. I woke up and my bedpost was smoking, almost burnt myself touching the note 2 when I woke up. Took off the back and it was absolutely destroyed, some parts completely burnt. Shame this is happening to people, its a scary thing to wake up to

i just purchased the 5x on saturday and paid for 1 day shipping so hoping to get it tomorrow. but this is making me worried... i might get a usb type c charger thats rated at much lower current to help prevent this instead of using the included 3A charger. or get a standard usb to type c cable and use a regular 1-1.5A charger.

Speaking generally, this almost always has happened, for years, to people who pull the cord by the wire, not by the plug. My wife is terrible about this and she goes through 3-4 cords to my one.
Anyway, that may not fully explajn this problem, bug it'll sure makd it more likely.
Well. I just googled and I found this article. My nexus 5x just burned yesterday and the worst was that everything was wood, even the floors. It almost started a fire at my home yesterday and I am mad because of that.
There is a picture I attached and I'm returning it tomorrow because I had it for almost 3 weeks now.
