EE Rook forgotten pattern unlock - Blade General

Any way to persuade this phone to ask for, say, my Google account creds? I've fogotten the pattern on a phone I use rarely and would rather not factory reset it and lose all the data. Unrooted/stock.

Lost my phone and Android Lost isn't working

Hey guys, I lost my phone 30 minutes ago and unfourtnately since I have never lost a phone in my life I didin't think I would loose one now. I don't have any "find my phone" installed on the phone so I went to the website http://www.androidlost.com and I pushed the app to my stolen phone and I also pushed the Jumpstart app. I also tried to send a message "androidlost register" to the phone, but nothing sems to work.
Android Lost doesn't register the phone. The first thing I did when I came home was to change my Google account password. If I'm correct, isn't that a misstake? Because now when the thief turns on the internet, the password is changed so he can't login to the account? Is this correct?
Does the phone have to have WiFi or mobile data enabled?
Since you changed the password I don't think pushing apps from the playstore will work anymore. Even if you change it back, the login link is broken and you'd need the device to log back in.

Lost or stolen? Lost, there's still hope. Someone might turn it in somewhere, there are still good people left in this world.
Stolen, probably goodbye. First thing he'd do would be to remove sim or turn off.
As far as i know androidlost will work if everything is turned on; if there's a data connection, if gps is activated, etc. I'll surely get corrected if not.
Changing the Google password will prompt to log in again, yes.
Sucks though mate.. :-\
The funny thing is, when I call it, it calls for the full duration, and also they haven't taken out the SIM card. I tried it with my moms Galaxy Nexus the exact way I did on my Nexus 4, but the only difference was she had internet connection on and it worked... What I fear the most is I changed my Google account password, Maybe it's not possible to retrieve the phone via androidlost because of this?

Im afraid el daddy's post is confirming exactly that..
Well if the phone is stolen the first thing they might do is take it to the nearest cell phone shop to get it wiped .. Or maybe you left it somewhere ... Retrace your steps...

Is there a way to like enable latitude on the web or something to remotely see the location of the device? or something like that? Because I'm pretty much screwed because I changed the password on my Google account, very very stupid of me, but I panicked
I know it's to late know, but next time you should try Cerberus app; best in line for tracking and remote controlling devices
Because of the WiFi bug it's affecting anti theft apps. The theft will need to switch the screen on before Google play will download the app you've pushed. But once that's done it is still hit and miss whether the web interface will be able to connect to the phone to track its location unless the screen is kept on. I know Cerberus and lookout can't.

i think call your phone and speak with the one who find it to return it back ..if it not works make a price for your stolen phone and buy it from the thief
Use this.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alienmanfc6.wheresmyandroidcupcake
Install it and text "wmd gps" to your phone.
If you don't have another phone, use this: http://textinghome.com/smsemail.php
It'll send the reply to your email. (put "wmd gps" in the subject box, and three random letters in the message box)
(I tested this one on my phone)
EDIT: ****. I just read that you changed your password. Big mistake. Try changing it back to what it was before, even though I doubt that would work.
As a last resort (when you accept it's gone for ever), report the IMEI number to your GSM provider and hope they blacklist it.

Locked out of my Samsung Galaxy 6

Help required??.
Okay here's what's happen, I've just got back from a week away and normally on my phone I just the fingerprint recognition, but as I was away I added a password but I was still using the fingerprint to access. On the flight returning back I turned the phone off to save my battery...'why did I do this?' , & with that when I turned the phone back on I could only use the password which I setup but now was unable to remember
Okay so after some searching online I found where I could temporarily change the password by visiting Google.com/android/devicemanager, I entered the temporary password and sent it to my phone, when I tried to then access my phone it still came up with incorrect password. I checked that my phone was actually contacted by ringing it from device manager also but the password didn't work.
Also what's annoying is that I have to wait for an hour on the phone before I can another attempt. I don't know how many attempts I've tried as yet but I heard once I get to 20 I can use my google account to reset it.
I really don't want to loss all the photos I took and the data. If anyone can help that would be great.
Thanks
Anyone.

You can safely use ODIN to flash the official stock firmware.
Odin flashing will NOT wipe your photos, videos or music.
It will not wipe anything which is on your internal sd.
It will wipe contacts and mms and stuff like that but
you will automatically get those back after odin flashing
and setting up your phone.
After setting up your google (gmail) account it will sync
all your contacts, emails, mms etc so you won't loose
much of anything at all.
Good luck,
Have a great day!

FRP....OH NO!!!!

Well...Making a long story short, a grandchild of mine played with the lockscreen on my Verizon S7 edge. And you know whats coming....a password was set, a password was forgotten, and a phone was reset. Now, Google's FRP lock is in action, and no matter what I do I can't get around it. My Google account information doesn't work on the phone now. I have searched for and tried everything to get around this, including using Odin to flash stock firmware using the method and firmware files here....<< Stock Firmware For Your Verizon S7 Edge and Quick Guide>> By Misterxtc, Recognized Contributor on 24th March 2016, 04:04 PM.
I guess I have a really nice looking paperweight, but maybe someone here has an idea? Another firmware? A backup someone is willing to share that may get me back into the phone? Anything????
Contact google
Can you change your password with Device Manafer?
Been busy with 4th stuff...but don't seem to be able to do what I need to through device manager...."yet"

This sounds a bit sketchy. FRP only requires you to sign into the phone with the original Gmail account that the phone was set up with. That's it. So do you not know your Gmail account password that you used to set up the phone? Or did you change actual Gmail password first and then try setting up the phone within 72 hours of changing your account password? Something isn't making much sense. If you can log into your Google account on your computer, then you can log into it on your phone...

This thing is there to prevent the phone being stolen and sold off to someone else. It's obviously imperative that your account details be noted in the event of this and/or OEM Unlock be selected in Developer Options.
I had this happen to me a week or so back, I was messing around with the phone trying to get ADB to authorise on my laptop, and somehow I must have disabled the OEM unlock. Next reboot, it refused point blank to boot into either Android or recovery (which was TWRP). Fortunately, I knew my Google credentials so I simply flashed stock, booted, logged into my Google account when it asked (after it made clear the phone wouldn't work if I didn't), turn OEM Unlock back on, flashed TWRP again and restored my Nandroid backup from a few days earlier. Crisis over. Obviously, without those credentials you potentially have a serious problem.
However, as suggested, contact Google. Providing you can prove you are the holder of the account (and I assume you can), then I imagine there would be ways around this. I'm also unsure why you mention the lockscreen. It has nothing to do with that. FRP lock is entirely down to the Google account on the phone when the FRP lock occurs.

This is fairly easy to bypass, sadly enough. Hit me up on Hangouts and I'll be happy to walk you through if you still need help.

My FRP method this:
Phone G935A, used Firmware G935U (not AT&T bloatware)
Insert prepaid sim 0$, and 0mb internet, but LTE network...
Personalise phone start, and wifi not turn on. Google verification fail, and NEXT button active...
Personalise finish, and turn dev.opt on, oem unlock on, and add the google account.

No, don't contact google. No don't bother with any of this bypass crap.
Contact samsung. Tell them you are the owner of the device and would like to get it unlocked. They will ask for a very detailed list of information to prove you are the owner of the device. Once they get this information from you they will send you an email and a Pre Paid label to mail it to them. Samsung will unlock it and mail it back to you.
Source: I work for a company who terminated an employee who had this protection enabled. This is what Samsung had me do.
i can do in 10 mints without contacting samsung via flexihub
Information is listed all over this forum on how to overcome this dude just research.

Hmm - Saumsung WOULD NOT reset my phone. I have a $200 Boat Anchor?
After 2 support "cases" closed with no notification to my *other* phone or my email, Samsung did send a shipping label, and I sent the phone. Upon arrival at their service center, they proposed a fee of about $70 to perform the re-initialization. I paid the fee with delight. They next advised me that they won't do the job. Perhaps it was because the phone is 8 months "out of warranty".
They did not dispute the validity of my purchase transaction. If this is their idea of "Support", I will not buy another Samsung phone again. Closing support incidents without notification to the problem reporter is garbage, and billing before refusing to do the work is worse than garbage.

Lost my Moto X, someone took it and didn't return it. How effective is the ADM lock?

Hello, 5 days ago i lost my beautiful phone on a trip. That day, using the Android Device Manager GPS i could see that someone took it and went away with it. I've locked the device with password (through ADM), disabled google services for it, and right now just reported the IMEI to have it blacklisted. Apparently, since that first day the device was turned off (it didn't sync further with google account, and phone is not ringing upon calling since then). My question is, there is currently important data in that phone i need deleted, and also, i want the thief to not to be able to use the cellphone at all.
Is it possible for the thief to access my personal files? Is it possible for him to use the phone normally again?
Upon reporting the IMEI, that device is no longer usable in any major carriers in the world, it renders it useless as a phone. There are ways around this of course, but it's difficult enough.
As for your data, there are ways that the device could be manipulated into gaining access to it. Assuming whoever stole it is essentially an everyday folk, your device will likely never be tapped into for its data.
Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone in the forum, but if an IMEI is reported, does that flag it stolen automatically ? Would that not mean that wherever that phone is attempted to get activated, the employees would become aware of this and retain the phone?
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
As soon as the device is turned on with internet access, it will be wiped and you should receive an email that has occurred with location if available.
As far as the blacklisted IMEI, the device cannot be activated on any network in the US (other countries/regions may vary) but it cannot be held by employees at a carrier if it's seen... The most they can do is call the police and try to delay the individual until officers arrive.

Factory Reset Protection

Hey guys, I'm typically good with these things but here's the rundown.
My cousin calls me about this gmail account his S7 Edge is asking, so I go over and see what the deal is, and yeah it's the FRP (Factory Reset Protection) that's been activated since he factory resetted the phone for no apparent reason.
Now we manage to find his gmail and password he had saved somewhere in his notepad and whenever I write them down it responds with a "Unable to sign due to a recent password change. Please try again in 24 hours"
Now mind you there was no password change done to the gmail and I was still getting the error, so of course I went ahead and resetted the password and waited for 24 hours once again, but to no avail as I've had the phone for 5 days now and it always returns with the above error.
Now at this point I'm out of ideas, what should I do next?
