Curious to know as what to use with my action Camera.
Thanks in advance.
How do I check that?
Not sure if 5.8Ghz is the same as 5Ghz.
My H870DS is shown in the ASUS DSL-AC68U routers Network Map as connect with 5Ghz.
Yes it ha 5.8Ghz It runs on both bands 2.4 & 5

Hi,
Does the G2 supports dual band wifi and 5Ghz wifi?
If so, how do I enable it?
Thanks
Yes, this phone uses a single-stream, dual-band 802.11n chipset, with a max (theoretical) transfer speed of 150 Mbps.
Under Wifi settings, Advanced, you can select whether to only use 2.4 GHz, only 5 GHz, or auto-select.
Typos courtesy of my LG G2 (D803) running Mahdi-ROM.
These settings are not always present, it depends on the firmware version maybe? I have never seen them in international 80210B, 80220B, 80220D. I think autoselect is activated by default in this case.

I had LG G2 stock and now the CloudyFlex 2.2 (which based on stock) and it's not shown in the advanced wi-fi.
I think this setting is not present on all LG based roms, it is a feature from AOSP and/or CM, on which Mahdi rom is surely based.
No 5 ghz setting on mine but the 5 ghz works fine out of the box for me. In fact I'm connected to a 5 ghz ssid right now.

Anyone know how well the H870DS version works on T-Mobile network?
I'm using on TMO and it's working well.
I am accessing 4G LTE over band 12 so my signal is comparable to a TMO branded GS8.
Some things to consider:
1) No VoLTE (that I'm aware of) calling
2) No WiFi calling
Small Annoyances
1) Network mode resets to 3G after reboot, manually selecting LTE after reboots
I have the same problem with no WiFi calling, need it for work too :/
Hi,
Both my daughter and I have OP2 devices. She runs OOS 3.6.0 and I have Resurrection-Remix-N-5.8.5 (highly recommended BTW), with the latest 3.6.0 firmware. Now, neither of us are able to connect to LTE, but only to 3G. It doesn't seem like an operator issue, as my son's ASUS ZenFone 2 device is able to connect to LTE with the same operator. For what it's worth, I can see using the Network Cell Info Lite app that my device is connected to a nearby 3G antenna, while my son's ZenFone is connected to a more far away 4G antenna. Would appreciate any insight regarding this matter.
OK, found the reason (even if not a very comforting one): Got the US model of this phone, which doesn't support LTE band 3, used by all operators here.
Hi.
I want to buy an LG V20 h910 Unlocked, but I need Band 3 & 7 for my home network and possibly (when roaming on holiday) Band 20.
Various websites list at least Band 3 & 7 as being supported.
However, on the LG USA website, it says:
"LTE Bands 2/4/5/12/29/30, Roaming 1/3/7/20, and CA"
Will it work on my network, given that I will be using Band 3/7 in my home network, not just when roaming?
Thanks in advance
I've just bought a V20 and noticed that it's a Taiwanese model (model LG-H990DS, with TWN firmware). The first two issues that I've noticed are:
- it won't connect to 4G (I'm on Plusnet Mobile, which uses the EE network). It will only connect to 2G according to the notification bar
- it won't connect to either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz wifi networks on my Asus RT-AC68U router (although it will connect to a Belkin access point that I have elsewhere in the house).
Are the above caused by basic hardware incompatibilities, or can they be resolved by a firmware update?

Hi
The H990DS should have no problem connecting EE network as it is The Global version and supports LTE bands 3,7 and 20 which are used in UK and EE uses 3 and 7. I have a Verizon V20 which I use on Virgin and it has no problem connecting as Virgin piggyback on EE as well.
It may be your firmware needs updating.

My current firmware is V10i-TWN-XX. Should I be looking for a different version? If so, what's the recommended way of obtaining and flashing it?
That is the most current version of the firmware.
Theoretically Oreo will be released in August, barring further delays.
Silly thoughts:
Which SIM card slot is the SIM in? 1 or 2? It can make a difference when using two SIM's - only one will get 4G/LTE while the other gets 2G.
Is the phone new, never previously been used?
Finally see the attached screenshot of the network settings under: Networks/More/Mobile Networks/Network Mode. If for some reason it got set to 2G that could be the problem.
Note: I'm only using 3G network access so that's why in the screenshot it only shows 3G (Notification bar) even though it's set to auto LTE.
As for the WiFi issues, mine seems to be a bit quirky in not always connecting to some routers, 99% is no problem then you can run into one that for what ever reason it refuses to connect. At the radio station I work at (part time) my V20 simply refuses to connect even though I have the password. Works fine with my tablet & Motorola phone but no go on the V20. Go figure.
Best of luck figuring it out.

Thanks for that. I have my SIM in the SIM1 slot, and my Preferred Network Mode is GSM/WCDMA/LTE Auto, which I guess is correct. The phone is second-hand (bought from Music Magpie).
I have now managed to get 3G (with "H" displayed - HSPA presumably), but I haven't been able to get 4G anywhere that I've travelled in London so far.
In the last day it has also finally recognised my Asus router, so that's a big step forward.
Hey i have an lg v20 h990n as far as can tell from reading specs its got the same frequencies and bands mine works totally fine with ee o2 and vodafone its suppose to work with three ... it also works with my tp link vr600v2 works fine with 5ghz and 2.4ghz also my sisters and partners carrier supplied routers i might suggest that you received a defective one id return it if you cant get it sorted music magpie charge loads too for this phone
