Hi guys, do you know how to have 5 rows on the dock instead of five?
Seems like you need a certain dpi to get that.
Any trick?

Dropping the Display Size setting to Small does it for me.
You need to change the display size.
Settings, Accessibility, Display size
Then drag to slider to small

Then i unistalled camera and browser and replaced them with CM12 camera and browser app.
Issues:
If i activate s-view cover my phone automaticly hangs up my inncomming calls if case is closed.

Hello, I am stepping stone to this your discussion.
I changed from 480 to 380 DPI. Now I am the navigation bar to the far left. I used an app called texdroider_dpi. Do you have any advice that you can tell me to solve or another system in order to reduce IPR without the navigation bar is moved from its central position?
Thanks for the help they want to give me

What version are you on? B324?
People in this thread are having trouble: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/change-dpi-b324-t3220208
any advice to edit the screen resolution dpi yet maintenance the moto display center layout.
I had change to 540 ppi and it look good but moto display and certain apps get out of demension.
The default 640 dpi look terrible.
I had edit ro.sf.lcd_density=540 and use framework apps setting and force clock to 640. working perfectly fine now. thanks

Hi guys, brand new XT1642 here.
At the moment I'm very happy with it, but there are three settings I can't change and I find it very strange:
1) In status bar no possibility to show battery percentage in the battery icon or on the side?!
2) Ringtones, alarms and notifications have incremental volume, no possibility to disable it to have immediately 100% volume?!
3) When phone is locked, shortcuts on the bottom are camera and vocal search, no possibility to change them?
Thanks!

In the status bar hold your finger on the little gear until it starts to spin.when you remove your finger you'll see a new setting added. You can add a % to the icon then but it is really tiny. You can also add, subtract, or rearrange the pull down quick menu.
The incremental volume is a safety feature that you can only change if the phone is rooted.

Hello, how can I allow the screen awakening when they get notifications on the screen (whatsapp, Gmail, etc.)

If there is no solution can you recommend any application that lights up the screen in case of notifications ?
Thank you
Hi,
I'm interested in buying the G6, or even the Q6, but I didn't get the chance to try it and see if the screen real estate is properly used on some apps.
I saw various videos about the scaling, but all were either for games, or video.
My question is how do the "standard" apps behave, like:
- Firefox: does it use the wole screen width in landscape (with the navbar of course)
- Xodo PDF reader, CHM Reader X, Graphilos EPUB Reader - when the full screen option is activated and it's in landscape, does it use the full width?
Maybe some screenshots.
Thanks.
Apps generally use all the screen, those who leave black borders can be resized

But does the resizing only changes the layout, without cropping / hiding any UI elements?
Sometimes (ex. Clash Royale) it crops some elements

Yes, but that's a game; I was asking for non-games & videos, that are different by nature.
But the scaling works just on games, scaling work on very few apps, and it doesn't affrct layout

Here's a screenshot of Firefox.
I've hidden my navbar in favor of "swipe navigation" and statusbar is hidden by immersive mode.
As you can see it's using full width.
There's even a setting to force "long display" mode.
I've not seen any apps that **** up in any way.
