Hi everyone!
I'm an italian guy who has created a lot of themes for EMUI by Huawei using my P7.
Now i change phone and I bought a black LG G6 (european version, so not DAC and not wireless charging).
So i'd like to start making themes for this good interface.
Are there some guides on how to create an LG theme? I don't have a lot of experience coding so if you can teach me, you're welcome!

Hi, i'm italian too... When i had a G5, so less than a year ago, i've made a guide to make themes for LG's devices, mind that is made by a newbie on this kind of things but explain every single step to make a theme for the UX.

Don't know, i haven't tried yet on my G6, but it's an official LG thing so it should be ok also for the G6...

Nope, maybe you should ask directly to some devs, there are two or more of them working in lgs themes here in the G6 section ...
Or maybe just wait that LG add the support to the QHD+...

Well....its taken me 5 years to get where I am at right now. Where I can make a theme for about anything. It is a long and challenging process to do it manually. Im not using one of those tools to do it quickly. I edit images one at a time. then create them with android studio.
I would start searching for making an RRO theme. its a very similar process to making an lg theme.

That is the theme park app they made a while ago. they stopped supporting it. on the link it says its only for (Available Android OS: 4.1 ~ 6.0)...
so no, it wouldnt work on the g5 either since that has 7.0 now

On the left there are two options: "Is it your first visit?" and "Create a Home Theme".
But as cbucz24 said LG supported it only until marshmallow so it probably won't work on Nougat, for the G5 i tested this method and correctly installed the theme, but i've only tried it on Marshmallow.

I ws opening link in my mobile.. May be thats why im redirected to install small world page where i can't see any theme park stuff. I checked out on my pc and got the options regarding theme making. But no benefit as there's no support for nougat.
it definately doesnt take 5 years to learn to make themes. Anyone who can use android studio can do it. The biggest problem for LG themes is that LG seems totally uninterested in facilitating user generated themes à la samsung.

No you're correct it doesn't take 5 years to make a theme. Just that long to make what i consider good ones. Ive seen newbies throw together a theme that looks horrible. Takes time and effort to learn what looks good and how to use the programs is all I'm saying.

I disagree that it takes 5 years to make good themes. I think a large number of the LG themes from XDA developers are cheap looking, have very poor aesthetics, and usually are simple dark themes with one other theme color. A lot of the themes represented in these forums are outdated looking and call to the holo era more than anything. Really what the LG community needs is an open source template of an LG theme base to allow a large number of people to design. This would inevitably result in quality themes being produced en masse. Its exactly what you see in with the CM/Substratum community which has such a large variety of themes and design approaches

I don't have much to offer this discussion other than the following:
The op sent me a PM asking me how to make a theme. I gave him a starting point and instead of researching it as I instructed he just sent the thread op that made said thread a PM asking how to make them instead of reading. Essentially not wanting to learn. Just instant gratification. That's not how it works. The easy way is never right. The right way is never easy.
I was the first person to make a theme for any lg device. I had no hand book. Zero help figuring stuff out. Hell to this day people ask me tons of questions all day every day. I have no one to ever and I mean ever ask for help. I have to just suck it up and figure it out on my own. No one handed me anything and that's just the way it is. Getting upset because there is no tool to automate things isn't going to fix anything. If you want a template then you will just have to make one from scratch.
Also if you're gonna call people out for having as you say cheap looking themes go all the way and tag them. Don't do a passive aggressive approach. You're new around here but I can assure you that making posts like this are not going to help you or make anyone want to help you. It's all about the approach.

I will upload an LG theme base that any one can open and use in Android studio to make their own LG theme so that we can get some more development going.

Hallo, I am the (fortunate ?) owner of an italian P4350 (WM5 stock, unblemished).
While marvelling at the multitude of options for modding, I don't fully understand the details of flashing, and I worry that things may not go as expected if I try to use any random cooked ROM.
Hence my query: are there any fellow italian P4350 users who have gone successfully through all the paces and which wouldn't mind to maybe give me 5 minutes over an IM or via PMs to compare software versions and clear some doubts ?

Se da una parte trovo molto interessante la possibilità di provare mod e ROM differenti, dall'altra mi preoccupo che qualcosa vada storto (un prerequisito mancato, una versione del software inadeguata, o che so io, non sarebbe la prima volta che uso software/hardware localizzato IT che poi si rivela incompatibile con alcune funzioni disponibili world-wide).
Da qui il quesito: c'è qualche anima pia che abbia già flashato con successo e che potrebbe dedicarmi 5 minuti su un IM o via PM per chiarire qualche dubbio ?

In your last line you highlight in a way what my worries are, viz, that htc italy may use "something" (I have no idea what, or I wouldn't worry) different in the italian herald from its overseas counterpart. I am very probably wasting my Worry Points, but you never know. Hence my quest for someone with the same exact phone who's already undergone all the flashing.
About italian roms, there's the italian WM6 rom on the htc site.

looks to me like you are reffering to missing HardSPL for HDMini,
that ROMs cooking/porting would be much more easier and releases
will be much more stable unlike current situation when using SSPL.

2. there too much blue colour sits in the camera (blauw is red?)
(on winmo the camera works perfectly)

These are known problems. Please read the posts in the developer section for more information. There isn't a fix for it yet.
Mine is also Italian HTC HD Mini, but I haven't problem of Camera.
The Only Problem I have is the Android is too slow and boots Android about 33 Minutes

I speak english (a bit! ) because I'm italian, so: se c'è qualche italiano che ne sa parecchio di sta roba e volesse dare una mano ne sarei infinitamente grato! L'Avin Avant II è un navigatore Andorid, io e Bmwiesel ce l'abbiamo su BMW Serie 3 E46, lui 318 ed io 330ci (ma sono tutti uguali, è giusto per dare un po' di dettagli ), e saremmo disponibili a fare da tester diciamo. Ad ora il dispositivo ha potenziali enormi a livello hardware non sfruttate, siccome ha si Android ma una vecchia versione, e ci starebbe bene una bella rom cucinata attuale, con miglioramenti dell funzionalità. Se servono video o simili li possiamo fare. Io e lui siamo amici da e46fanatics.com, e li mi ha segnalato questo forum, in particolare le doti di @sabruri1 che sarebbe italiano! Un grandissimo da quel che ho capito!

I don't think you can update that easily to another Android version like 4.4.4, If that was the case, you got to see a lot of Lollipop devices and that's not the case. And don't forget the MCU

Ok thank you about your advise. Anyway, is possibile load a new modded software? Because we need different function blocked now (1 o of 100 example: audio volume freex during reverse, and that's annoying, becuse sw blocks it totally, + and - too, so we can't reduce it too).
What means "MCU"?

Ok thank you about your advise. Anyway, is possibile load a new modded software? Because we need different function blocked now (1 o of 100 example: audio volume freex during reverse, and that's annoying, becuse sw blocks it totally, + and - too, so we can't reduce it too).

About Avin Avant II? If yes, is a good product, but it needs better WiFi, and new sw to improve its capacities.
bump. the hardware itself is okay but the software/rom definitely needs improvement. i've been looking for quite a while and i can't find anything.
the MCU is oddly listed within the headunit as: CA03-N043-LT01-A3-R0.9.57S
i can't make heads or tails of which MCU is similar to it.
any help would be appreciated? Would malaysk be able to create a new rom for us with the avant2?
I would also be interested in new Android OS if possible for the Avin Avant 2. Perhaps we can reach out to Avin and inquire about what info is needed about the MCU?
I find the current 4.1.1 to run really slow on the unit, perhaps if we could take it up to Marshmallow, that could help with better memory handling?
Couldn't the core OS be updated while keeping the rest of the non modifiable stuff, drivers, etc as it?
