Use with Note Stylus?

Seeing the Note 5 won't be released on Europe, I'm wondering of the S6 Edge+ will work (flawlessly) with the stylus from the Note?
I want to get the Note 5 experience on the S6 Edge+, using the stylus mainly, instead of my finger.
PS: Shame on Samsung for cheating us in Europe.

It will not. It doesn't have the wacom digitizer layer required for the s pen to work.
When I picked up my s6e+ at my local T-Mobile, someone there tried and it didn't work.

Screen Off app that doesn't ask for pass code?

I keep my s7 edge unlocked with my Gear S2 watch, but all the Screen Off apps activate pass code sign in when turning the screen back on. Is this a Marshmallow limitation? Thanks.

Id say no to that, as it was the last update to our phones that activated this problem, it wasn't there before!

Just check the box with Marshmallow and Lollipop in app's settings.

This one works with gestures on Nova and does not require passcode after using it (the screen goes black and there is a 4 second delay to actually lock the screen):

Nova with root access instead of admin access does not ask for pin/passcode and can login with fingerprint

I thought it worked, but it just puts the screen to sleep while the phone is still active underneath and won't actually turn off the phone

The screen turn off and the phone will lock n sleep after about 4s. It won't stay awake. You actually don't have any other choice except if u wanna use the power button or root. This is a marshmallow security feature.

I just downloaded the paid version of the Floatifications app & I'm not sure how 2 get rid of the OS Notifications on my GS7E, so can some1 please help me thanx?

1. I already gave you how to remove the notification popup. If you want to remove the notification altogether, your app won't work anymore because there are no notifications for it to detect.
2. No idea I don't use thay app.

I have the full version of the Floatifications app so I need 2 know how 2 shut off OS notifications 2 make it where the app will work better.

Go to applications>application settings>choose app>notifications>turn off notifications.
However I will say that the floatifications app won't work anymore if you turn this off.

he meant that the background is not completely dark as it should be!
there can be several reasons for that.
years ago AMOLED screens always had a faint glow when powered on (even if displaying pure black). Samsung got rid of this with some optimizations...
in this case I guess it's a driver problem!

Thank you for that. I completely missed that. Thought the screen glow was from the device he used to take the picture.

edge features

Does the s8 have the edge features that the s7e had? They mentioned that the edge was less this year so what can it do? How do the notifications work? Can the edges pulsate and animate colors? Is that only when the phone is face down?

S8 will have Same features like s7e Just they made some modification and updated some apps thats it. both s7 and s8 have 7.0 nougat you also can install s8 apps when they are available to public

I've ordered a new note edge... Primarily because of that independent Edge screen. Makes life so much easier with a big phone.

Are there 3rd party apps that let you do more with the edge like illuminate them when face up

I saw a demo unit and the edge lighting settings implies it works face up

Is it possibile to launch Tasker tasks from the edge panel on S7/S8? I looked for info but couldn't find a clear answer.

There is an app for shortcuts, apps, direct dial etc in Samsung App store for edge. I'm using it with a S6.

As above poster. Also you could export anything Tasker-made as an app and just use it in the apps edge panel.
