I keep my s7 edge unlocked with my Gear S2 watch, but all the Screen Off apps activate pass code sign in when turning the screen back on. Is this a Marshmallow limitation? Thanks.

Id say no to that, as it was the last update to our phones that activated this problem, it wasn't there before!

I have this and is OK. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iglint.android.screenlockpro
Just check the box with Marshmallow and Lollipop in app's settings.

This one works with gestures on Nova and does not require passcode after using it (the screen goes black and there is a 4 second delay to actually lock the screen):

Nova with root access instead of admin access does not ask for pin/passcode and can login with fingerprint

I thought it worked, but it just puts the screen to sleep while the phone is still active underneath and won't actually turn off the phone

The screen turn off and the phone will lock n sleep after about 4s. It won't stay awake. You actually don't have any other choice except if u wanna use the power button or root. This is a marshmallow security feature.

Nova with root works great[emoji4] no pin, passcode or password is needed. Just only fingerprint [emoji4]

I would like to use the icons on my phones lock screen but I don't like the idea of someone having access to my phones data if I were to lose it or have it stolen. How many of you lock your phone using the lock screen? Use something else? Or let it run unprotected?
I don't put a password lock or anything on mine, but I keep an extra battery on me so i never have to plug it in and leave it somewhere and I therefore always have it on me.

I had to sacrifice the lock screen widgets because I have to have a pin lock.

Firstly, Mod if there is already a thread on this topic please move my post there.
I'm experiencing serious problems when trying to take a screenshot with the palm swipe. I had no problem whatsoever on my S III. I'm disabled & can't use the shortcut.
Ideas? TX

I find holding the power and the home button is more convenient for a screenshot, try that maybe?

Won't work for me as I have limited movement in my hands.

Is there anything blocking the sensor at the top? (Screen protector, case, etc)?

No. I have a Cimco TPU case (more like a sleeve) & it's not blocking the sensor.

I just tried the palm swipe and I realized I had to press on the screen with more force than on the S3 (I've tried both). Also I think air gesture has to be toggled on (as well as palm motion obviously )

Hmm. I'm pretty darn sure air gesture is toggled too but will check again. I'll also try pressing harder.

Just remembered to respond. Air Gesture was turned off. That said, I remember taking a few screenshots just after I got the phone & AG was definitely off. I also read a bit more about this feature. Supposedly you can hold a finger ~3" over the sensor & it'll activate. Not on my phone...

It's been my experience that I have to physically touch the screen in order for the screen wipe to take a screenshot. I've also found this feature somewhat unreliable as it sometimes moves the screen and then takes a shot of a screen that I have no interest in.

Exactly. I guess I'll see what Samsung has to say.

I am getting really annoyed with the second unlock screen. I unlock using fingerprints, then comes up to a lock screen that you push unlock and has a ad and battery level. How do I get rid of this?!
Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
You're going to have to figure out which app you installed that adds the 2nd lock and ads. I've seen others talk about it on here, but I can't remember which app was the culprit.

Do you have ES file explorer installed? If so, uninstall. They are becoming very shady since the new owner.

* ? but how do I turn off OS notifications all 2gether, so I'm not getting dubble notifications on my GS7E?
* & on Floatifications service how do I open a notification & how do I move bubble around?
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
1. I already gave you how to remove the notification popup. If you want to remove the notification altogether, your app won't work anymore because there are no notifications for it to detect.
2. No idea I don't use thay app.

I have the full version of the Floatifications app so I need 2 know how 2 shut off OS notifications 2 make it where the app will work better.
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
Go to applications>application settings>choose app>notifications>turn off notifications.
However I will say that the floatifications app won't work anymore if you turn this off.

I have messed around the settings a ton and I just can't seem to find the option if there even is one. I want to just unlock the phone by placing my finger on the scanner. Is there also any way to diable turning the screen on with the always on home button?
Mine unlocks with finger print.. no buttons just finger the scanner from the always on screen

Using nova launcher instand lock? This will require a pin insert.
