Snapchat Login Issues - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I recently logged off of Snapchat for the first time in six months or so, and I haven't been able to log back in. Running Nitrogen OS 7.1.2 (5/11/2017), stock kernel, stock root. The error I receive is "There was a problem connecting to the server. Please try again."
I've wiped the cache and data for the app, reinstalled the app, reset all app permissions, checked if background data was restricted, tried on WiFi and LTE connections, disabled AdAway, tried older Snapchat APKs, and wiped and reflashed the device. Not sure what to do at this point, and I was curious to hear if anyone else is having this issue. I've seen posts thrown around online about Snapchat preventing root and custom ROM users from accessing the app through SafetyNet, but nothing definitive.
Anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas?
Cheers,
cpkelley94

U need to disable root completly. After un-rooting und will able to login and then after that u can turn Root on.

[BUG] Market Apps failing to download after root.

Just started to have issues downloading apps from the market. Im on any connection and im connected to the internet but they fail right away with this message "Download Unsuccessful" ..........rooted too. Any Ideas?
*Edit*
I need some others to check this out
Last night I reset to factory defaults and after 1-2 downloads from the market everything after I tried to download fails, rooted. Then I flashed the stock firmware downloaded a couple apps no problem, rooted, couple more downloaded then FAIL! Not able to download until I do a factory reset, even than I can only get 1- maybe 2 downloaded.
I'm having trouble as well. I'm rooted, I posted yesterday but nobody replied. Can somebody out hedre try and install fring?
Rooted. And no problems.
Are you signed into Talk for authentication?
I had similar problem on my EVO yesterday as well.. So i don't think it's a phone issue...

I did a reset back to stock pulled down a couple apps then dead after that...CAn anyone pull apps off the market right now?
I was having major problems with apps, then I did a cache wipe and factory reset. Problem solved.
I was also restoring apps from mybackup pro, which may have caused the issue. The apps were backuped from my evo and restored on the epic.
Its a apk I removed just don't know which one :/
I take that back...I lost market functionality again and have not removed any files only rooted AM i the only one experiencing this?
I rooted (using the older line by line instructions, not the single automatic script) and have not had any problems with the market.
i rooted with the one click script and have been downloading apps with no problem, downloaded an update to gps status tonight on 3g and barcode scanner over wifi tonight.
Im having the same issue, I rooted so i can do free wifi tethering (hotspot) and now i cant even download the ****ing app to do so.....

[Q] Deleted IM and IMprovider

I have the original Tmobile mytouch. Recently I thought of rooting it. I used universalandroot and rooted the phone. I then though of removing some stock apps which are not used by me. I used titanium app to remove amazon, IM and IMprovider. I was not aware that removal of the last 2 IM related apps causes issues. The mistake I did was I did not even back up these before uninstalling. After removing these I started getting messages which said com.android.process.gapps stopped unexpectedly. This happened each time I tried accessing gmail or any other google app and also while accessing market. I google the problem an read that this can be resolved by going to settings - applications and clearing data from each google related app and then ensuring sync is disabled and then late reenabling the sync. After I tried this, I was able to access gmail but gtalk and contacts still could not be accessed withthe same error. I therefore thought of doing a factoryreset which might bring the original apps back. I did a factory reset and cache wipe from android stock reboot options but when I rebooted the first message I got upon reboot is "com.android.process.gapps stopped unexpectedly". I tried to sign in into my google account to use the phone but am pretty sure the the factory reset has not resolved my problem. I am currently unable to sign in to the phone using the intial google account set up wizard. Everytime I press finish in the wizard, I get "The application Setup Wizard (process com.android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". Does this mean my phone has been rendered useles???
Can some expert help me resolve this issue? I am a noob and have committed mistakes and need some help fixing them. The phone current has donut android 1.6 on it.
Thanks in advance for your valuable help and time.
Update - Solved
I have resolved the problem. I flashed the phone with sappimg.nbh which took the phone back to the initial state (android 1.5) and this causes the rooting to be undone and also reinstalls the google apps. i dont see the failures due to gapps not found anymore and all is well.

By any chance do you have a proxy set on your APN's? Jot it down and erase it, including the port number.
If you have normal internet working - then it must be a problem APN-wise.
You can isolate it down to the hosts file, but if you use apps like Adfree or ad blocking software, then it really eliminates it down to your APN settings. For ad blocking software to work, proxy and port number must be removed. Try placing a proxy back if it's gone.
Thanks for the answer.
I have no clue what to do reading and rereading your post...
It's too technical
Update
This happens only when i press the refresh button on the widget. And only on mobile data.
Solved by wipe data.
However this wiped all sdcard contents
Really bad.
The wipe data also fixed a problem I had with delivery reports not working.
Although enabled both on stock app and gosms.
But but but...
...after some days the delivery reports again stopped working.
So please I have read one million posts about this delivery report issue.
Can you help and suggest any fixes?
Thanks
I also have the problem with the SMS delivery report.
Still don't know how to fix?
No luck no fix yet.
What device you have?
Android version?
I have gosms and mightytext apps that may be messing
Do you have any of those apps?
Only by diagnosis we may reach something
My device is N9005, stock 4.3.
I don't have GoSMS nor mightytext app, but I have installed HushSMS and also the its Xposed module.
I'm not sure if it may cause the 'SMS delivery report' problem. Tried to uninstall HushSMS and its Xposed module but the problem still persist.
I think factory reset may help (as I don't have the problem when I first bought the phone), but I don't want to factory reset
Factory reset will not help
For me it fixed it for a couple of days only
Nobody jumps into this thread
Which means that from millions of note 3 devices we are just a few with this issue ?
Most people don't have the sms delivery report enabled.
(the majority of western-world mobile users doesn't use sms altogether anymore.)
Check with your service provider, there may be a network related issue.
And does the problem also persist if after a reset you don't install any apps, particularly sms ones?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk 2
It worked after factory reset until I enabled mightytext app.
The app was restored with titanium backup but not set up yet.
After I set it up and used it then no delivery reports anymore
Coincidence? who knows
Of course I uninstalled mightytext but the delivery reports still were not working

Snapchat won't open after rooting.

I rooted and installed an Android 9 ROM and ever since then, I can't sign into Snapchat. I get an error message saying, "Oh no! Your login temporarily failed, so please try again later." I've waited two days at this point, by the way. The message tells me to go to Snapchat's support website, so I do. On the website, it reads, "One common cause [of login error] is if you've rooted your Android device. Un-rooting your Android device, removing other third-party apps and plug-ins, and reinstalling Snapchat are all ways to try and resolve this issue." I have tried reinstalling Snapchat, which didn't work. I have also tried resetting my password, and have even gone so far as to create a new account to test my regular account status. I really do not want to un-root my phone, so does anybody have any solution(s) to log into my account?
EDIT: I figured it out. For anyone who is wondering, I unrooted my phone, logged into Snapchat, and rerooted. Thanks to anyone who gave suggestions!
It doesn't work on uncertified/tampered/rooted devices.
Use Magisk to root and then "hide" Snapchat from root.

No mobile signal on my phone, please help

2 days ago i was installing some apps to block network in specific apps, i installed 5-6 apps like this (some asked root permitions), then, i noticed that after using this apps, they might have changed something in my system, and the mobile signal stopped working.
I already tried to reset apn, reset apps permissions, testing SIM in orher phone, reset network, and uninstalling this apps, and even updating OOS, but nothing worked.
What can i do to solve this problem? I was wondering if factory reset would solve it but i am not sure about this.
Could you guys help me please?

Something corrupted at os level nothing can fix only factory reset or reinstalling os will mostly solve these kind of problem because I am also in the same situation a while back nothing solved the issue that is why now I am not installing any new application for testing purpose.
There are well known apps that legitimately do this (that do require root). What apps did you use? I know this functionality is also built into Lineage as I use it.
Do you still have IMEI numbers under about phone? Does anything work, WiFi, BT, etc?
