I have the original Tmobile mytouch. Recently I thought of rooting it. I used universalandroot and rooted the phone. I then though of removing some stock apps which are not used by me. I used titanium app to remove amazon, IM and IMprovider. I was not aware that removal of the last 2 IM related apps causes issues. The mistake I did was I did not even back up these before uninstalling. After removing these I started getting messages which said com.android.process.gapps stopped unexpectedly. This happened each time I tried accessing gmail or any other google app and also while accessing market. I google the problem an read that this can be resolved by going to settings - applications and clearing data from each google related app and then ensuring sync is disabled and then late reenabling the sync. After I tried this, I was able to access gmail but gtalk and contacts still could not be accessed withthe same error. I therefore thought of doing a factoryreset which might bring the original apps back. I did a factory reset and cache wipe from android stock reboot options but when I rebooted the first message I got upon reboot is "com.android.process.gapps stopped unexpectedly". I tried to sign in into my google account to use the phone but am pretty sure the the factory reset has not resolved my problem. I am currently unable to sign in to the phone using the intial google account set up wizard. Everytime I press finish in the wizard, I get "The application Setup Wizard (process com.android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". Does this mean my phone has been rendered useles???
Can some expert help me resolve this issue? I am a noob and have committed mistakes and need some help fixing them. The phone current has donut android 1.6 on it.
Thanks in advance for your valuable help and time.
Update - Solved
I have resolved the problem. I flashed the phone with sappimg.nbh which took the phone back to the initial state (android 1.5) and this causes the rooting to be undone and also reinstalls the google apps. i dont see the failures due to gapps not found anymore and all is well.

So for the past few months I've been messing with different roms and accidentally setup one of my roms with a different email and bought the app chandroid. When I reverted to the main Rom I use chandroid wanted me to update so I tried but since I bought it under a different account it wanted me to buy it again. I found that the new market let's you switch between emails so I installed it but was unable to download or update any app.
This is where all the trouble started. I went to Google for answers and someone suggested clearing the data in the market. After doing this market would just say an error has occurred and shuts down. I then tried a factory reset. When I go to setup the account it says can't establish a reliable data connection. I understand this is a known problem but its different from my problem because even factory reset won't fix it. I've tried the YouTube method as well to no avail. One of my roms didn't come with the YouTube app and when I tried downloading it it said I already had it but it was no where to be found under app management.
The only luck I have had is with the muiu Rom. I was able to setup the account but that Rom looks too much like the iPhone and I prefer cyanogen 7 mod. I have factory reset, wiped cache, reinstalled rom. The only way market works is when I reinstall backed up roms.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
So basically you have a problem with the market app? or your google account?
because if you have paid fopr an app on a different email account, you can just save the apk and reinstall it.

It was installed. The problem is that it uses Google to authenticate the app and I can't setup my Google account so it can't authenticate. When I factory reset I get the message can't establish data connection. My internet works perfectly fine. Right now I just want a clean install of cyan 7 with the new market. I installed gapps as well and still same problem.
I really don't care about the app anymore since I installed 4chon. I just want my market to work again.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I've tried everything possible as far as I know.
Okay so I figured it out. What I had to do was unroot my phone. Just download the PC36IMG.zip online and put it on the root of your sdcard. Go into clockworkmod by powering the phone off and then holding the down vol. and pwr button at the same time untill the hboot screen shows up. It will automatically detect it and just say yes when it asks you to install it. When it's finished you have to either delete the PC36IMG.zip file or rename it otherwise everytime you reboot the phone it will reinstall it. That's not a very good fix but as I am the only person I know of who has had this problem I do not see a better fix anytime soon.
Hi,
The problem that I have is that everytime I turn on my S4 "Messages" crashes and afterwards "com.android.phone" keeps crashing.
It started when I was on Google Chrome Beta where I got a few crash notifications (I think it was 2, don't remember). I didn't think much about it then, but when I went to the Play Store to install Chrome, where it said it was already installed. Recently I have removed a lot of the bloatware including Chrome on the S4 and nothing happened by it and I have restarted my phone a few times after that. But in the Play Store when I clicked on the uninstall button it got stuck on uninstalling (most likely because it wasn't installed in the first place) and when I restarted my phone thinking it might solve the problem. The whole problem with "Messages" crashing and afterwards "com.android.phone" crashing again and again, started.
Now I have to keep Flight mode turned on or I can't even use my mobile.
I have tried following solutions:
- Wiped Cache & Dalvik Cache
- Factory Reset
- Reinstalled all the bloatware
- Reinserted SIM card
- Removed sdcard
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 (XXUAMDM) - Root - Stock rom
I hope someone can help me figure out how to fix this.
I found out what the problem was. I didn't reinstall all the bloatware. I only got the first 20 installed instead of them all. So now it works again.
So I've been running CM 12 for about a month and today I went to update and afterward my phone was unuseable. After the update I started getting the pop-up gmail has stopped so I uninstalled it. After that I couldn't use the play store. It kept asking me to sign in even though I was already signed in. I cleared cache and deleted data in play store and still the same problem. After This I tried reinstalling gapps to see if that was the problem. After reinstalling gapps my phone kept saying unfortunately phone has stopped working. After clicking ok it would come back up immediately, rendering the phone unusable. I couldn't even get to the desktop to try to get into settings. Before the update I backed up my rom so I was like, "Good for me, I saved the day." Nope. After installing my backup same problem. The only way for this problem to stop happening was to reinstall cm12 all together wiping system and data. I tried reinstalling my backup hoping it would work but I get the same problem.
What's going on here? How do I get my old rom back. I need my contacts back. I don't care about anything else as much. It would be nice to get everything but contacts is the main thing.
Hello,
I have a lg2 with Android 5.0.2.
For a long time i was on CM but i had too many problem so i a factory reset (wipe all...) and i come back on stock.
Everything went fine then i install Facebook app and i saw the message: "The process android.process.acore has stopped" indefinitely. I uninstall fb app and it solves it. Today i install pushbullet then again same problem... so i try to uninstall it... but the message stay.
So i do another factory reset... i installed facebook and pushbullet, everything work. I installed aquamail (that works before) and then, this f*****ing message appeared again. I try to uninstall aquamail but it stays ://.
So i've looked on a lot of post here and then... and i don't find any solution. It drives me crazy and i can't use my phone.
List of things i tried:
-factory reset
-go offline/turn off sync and try to clear cache/data and force stop contacts and contacts storage.
Do you have anymore idea?
android.process.acore has stopped
Wow you posted this way back when and no answers? I dug out my old LG G2 running 5.1.2 I think and after installing Whatsapp I got the same error and it makes the phone unusable.
Did you ever find out a solution? Would love to know a fix for this.
Hi,
I have an Acer A501 on which I installed CWM and a custom rooted 3.2 ROM shortly after purchasing it in order to use a certain app that required root permissions. I noticed that after the root, the device would give me a "server error" when trying to download apps from Google Play, but I didn't really pay much attention to it, since I didn't download new apps very often and I figured I could just get APKs from other sources. Recently, though, I have been trying to give the tablet a new life by getting Google Play back to work (since searching for APKs on dodgy sites isn't exactly the most reliable way of getting new apps) and maybe installing ICS. I flashed a stock 3.2 ROM and got rid of CWM, since I assumed it was the reason for Google Play not working, but apparently I was wrong, since I am still getting that error. I have also been trying to flash a stock ICS ROM, but every single one I've tried so far shows an error (the Android robot with the yellow warning sign) almost immediately after starting to flash. Does anyone know the solution to these problems? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Bump... Anyone?

Yeah, I remembered I had the same error.
Anyway, pls try to check this link...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733038
In my case, I just removed the existing account. Then, add the same account & it is working OK.
Thanks for the link. As for removing and re-adding the account, I have done that multiple times, to no avail. I have tried force-stopping and clearing the cache of Google Services Framework, as suggested in the thread, but now, I get a connection error merely trying to add a Google account to the device... I even did a factory reset, but I still can't add a Google account, as if the Google Services settings hadn't been reset at all.
EDIT: I just realized that the reason I got a connection error after the factory reset was not being connected to Wi-Fi. However, after clearing the cache and data of Market, Google Services Framework and Download Manager, I get the same connection error while trying to add a Google Account, even while connected to a Wi-Fi network.
EDIT 2: I have rebooted the device, and now I'm back where I started. The error code is RPC:S-7:AEC-0 LOWQ-XYAM-M7MTS.
Any Luck? Same problem here with a stock A500 after a factory reset. I've tried two good google accounts. Getting "Google Talk Authentication Failed" and " Error retrieving data from server"
