I m currently using B29 with this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/guide-root-xposed-safetynet-stock-rom-t3530906
I think someone had asked this before but somehow i can't find the thread anymore. Can I use similar method for Nougat update? i realized Xposed is not ready for Nougat yet, but i hope i can get Nougat with root and safetynet on my axon7.
PS: OOPs, i posted on wrong area, can Mod move this to Q&A section?
I want to know too

I installed the MM update on my SM-A510M and I was hoping to install TWRP to root the device but after reading the TWRP for the A510 series thread, I think this is not possible, anyone has rooted the stock MM on their devices?

Have you tried CF Auto root? It works fine on my SM-A510... You have the thread on the development section...

Hey, I'm quite the scrub, but I'm ready to root my 6p, but I've recently installed the 7.1.1 developer preview(NPF10C) onto my phone. Just wondering if I should rollback to stock or can I root from this version?
Also, if anyone can send me a link to a straight forward and simple rooting guide, I'd appreciate it as well.
Everything that u need to root is on the first page. The guide refers to 7.0 but works the same for DP 7.1.1

Have a rooted OnePlus 5 running 4.5.13 with twrp recovery.
How can I update to oxygenOS 5.0.2 without losing my data? I'll root it later.
Thanks!

Oreo has been released for the Canadian SM-G935W8 and prior to upgrading im curious if anyone has been able to root it
Im running a rooted version of 7 and don't want to upgrade if I lose root
I looked on XDA and various forums but cant seem to get a definite answer

Yeah I CANT seem to find a stable answer anywhere!
I ODIN flashed stock Oreo (lost root) after some issues installing un-stable ROM's cause I wanted Oreo earlier lol
I assumed it would be as normal steps?
1. Odin flash TWRP
2.Reboot recovery and flash no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip & Magisk.zip
3.Flash ROM via TWRP????
Best of luck, hope someone reads this thread.

Please correct me if I am wrong but I think this might be misleading for someone new. In order to get to a rooted Oreo, you will need to follow the dirty santa method, of getting a rooted phone with TWRP, and then you can use TWRP to flash the stock rooted firmware mentioned in the post above. (I could be completely wrong as I have not done any rooting yet on my VS995 yet but I have tried to follow the proper methods. I keep hoping developers will come up with a way to root oreo, without having to go backwards).
