Simultaneous voice and data - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

Hello all,
I noticed after the recent update (4BQC5) that I can no longer use my data while on the phone, I know previously that I was able to use data while on a call. Has anyone noticed this? Is there anyway to get this functionality back? Any help would be appreciated.

VoLTE may have been deactivated. Check the settings and reactivate if needed. Make sure your provider has it enabled in your account if required

I was able to get this fixed by booting into recovery and clearing the cache. Before I did that I checked to see if HD voice was enabled it was. Thanks for your help.

[Q] Data roaming

Not sure where else to post this so thought this would be best, I am going on holiday tomorrow and wondered if anyone knew whether using programs such as "tor" for example I can use my data whilst avoiding extra data charges? Any help would be much appreciated!

if you switch off your data roam setting and the program still works then it's good.

[Q] Help needed! I bought my third I337 however it is giving me network problems!

I just bought a used I337. It was on firmware UAMDL.
The problem that I have with this phone(i337 on UAMDL) that I just got is that it does not establish data connection. It will only do so when I call somewhere.
However as soon as the phone is left alone and go idle for couple minutes then it would drop data connection again.
Only way to re establish data connection is by dialing a number to place a call.
Anybody know how to fix this annoying problem?
I have also noticed the original owner made a copy of efs back up in the internal sd card.
I wonder why he created such back up. Could this be related to the issue that I am having?
I have 2 other i337 in the household that are pe rfectly fine.
IS there anything that I could do to fix the phone that I just bought.
Please help!

Did you check to make sure you have the right apn setup? in settings under mobile networks access point names make sure they are the same as one of your working phones....
Have you Odin'd the stock firmware? I'd do that with a used phone I bought.

Thank you. It sounds silly but this solved the problem.
I don't know why it wanted me to reset or re input APN when it was set to pick it up auto and it did when placing calls.
Now it picks up connections auto and stays on.

Cellular Data on 950xl not working since 10586.107, now on 14267.1002

Hi Folks,
Having this nagging problem on my 950xl, while i was on insider preview of 10586.107, i got a message while paying tubecast that my 3G data is not working, and that it was a known issue. as i was out of town i dint go much then, but once i was back home i tried all the below stuff.
1) Soft Reset
2) Hard reset to Factory
3) Hard reset to factory and upgrade to latest firmware, and build 14267.1002.
None of which have resolved my problem, my phone shows H+, H,E and 2G symbols but when i put a url in edge or try gettings emails etc, it never connects to the internet.
I even managed to go to FieldTest to see if any bands are switched off but even there everything was fine.
I even logged a call with service provider, to see if its a server side problem, but they say its ok on their side.
Any suggestions? do you think my phone is faulty? anyone encountered this before and manage to fix this?
It seems you don't have an APN configured. Please check that you do.

Thanks for the response, i had the APN configured both automatically and Manually. but it dint work before.
Update: Not sure what happened...after 6 days of no data, and lots of calls to vodafone...something happened. and data is working again now. hope it stays that way.
Have you try to reset to official build? And to me it seems like it could be a hardware issue rather than a software/firmware, since didn't see others have similar one.
I have the same problem. Hope you were able to find a solution. My problem also with wifi not able to find any network.
Connectivity
I am also having connectivity issues with my unbranded 950XL dual sim. On data, it appears to be logging on to an inappropriate network. Unlike previous OS's, I can't figure out how to get this one to manually select another network. There are some WiFi networks, usually at hotels, that I just simply cannot log on to. Everyone else can. Any advise will be appreciated.

Under the SIM settings, there's a "Scan for Network" or similar button, which will present a list of the providers available. This allows you to correct a mis-selected provider, manually.
On the WiFi issue, I responded to your other thread. Let me know if you aren't seeing that, and I'll post here too.

My bad, I guess it seemed so similar, I thought it was your post too. Either way, I describe the fix for 5G network connectivity, which I think is what *most* people are seeing.

4g data problem after unlocking lg g6 ls993 from sprint

I bought the phone in a US store unlock it and I am using it in Colombia everything works fine the data calls, but when I send an image by whatsapp or instagram do not load, with wifi works perfectly. The problem is when it is with data. Please HELP !! Thank you

I unlocked my lg g6 via gc pro remotely, but I also new have issues with my data upload speed. When I do a speed test I get good download speeds but zero upload speed. It is not my provider as if I put the sum in another phone it gets good upload speed. So on data I also can't send pics

Same here...any ideas?
Having this issue as well. Been looking for a solution for forever with no luck.
IMEI confirmed unlocked. Voice / Text / MMS works, data download works, data upload is ZERO.
No instagram, pics over chat apps, or Uber, etc.
Did you guys check your apn settings mine unlocked as well had to manually put in apn settings

Tried a factory reset before, did not work.
I've been through T-Mobile and Metropcs with the same issue (not carrier-related issue?)
I've switched a sim card as well (not sim-related issue?)
Makes me think its a phone issue or unlock issue, or something else I'm missing.

No sir, it's nothing like that, I've already done factory reset card change all that is not, it's not problem unlock, the problem I dare say is the ROM firmware that has sprint lock

LineageOS 19.1 Issues

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else is having weird issues with the new LineageOS 19.1 update? I upgraded from 18.1 and am having a bug where certain apps can't connect to the internet am forced to use WiFi instead of mobile data in order to use the app. I do have my mobile data turned on and check the info of the app and allow the app to connect to the internet. Was wondering if its just me and need to reformat or is there anyone else coming across this issue as well.
Build: lineage_fajita-userdebug 12 SP2A.220405.004 ba65ac2b7e
Status update: I reformatted the phone the issue still persist.

Nope. I checked those and they were correct. I even reset back to default to see if that would work but nothing the situation stayed the same and didn't work properly. I managed to get into contact with Metro to reactivate my sim card as well I went a little further than I should but I wanted to know if it was Metro network or my phone and still was having issues. All in all I decided to go back to stock firmware and I may try again later months to see if the issues have been fixed.
To be honest I doubt it am having way too much fun with Gpay at the moment.

Could try some other roms. I've never really liked lineage much but any of severalt's new roms are great. Zero issues for me
